Just reasently bought my Fable II... imagine my surprice when I pluged in the game (Yeah its Frozen like a snowman on the northpole). I haven't managed to read ALL of the posts (Got to page 5, then skipped to this) but have Lionhead announced any statement at all?

On how the game (MAY!) have caused out consoles to terminate?

Or how to fix the freezing in the game? Or any further plans on how to fix this problem?

Or anything at all?

Ive only had the pleasure of watching the intro-trailer once... looks great btw... after that it got froozen.. and I can't even get to the start-menu... so have I really just bought a very short movie of a sparrow flying throw some trees to a city and then takes a dumb from the top of a roof - and then "THE END" is just missing? Or does someone owe me a working game? Or a way to make my game work?

i didnit even have my fable 2 game for 30 minutes and it froze.  i got the black screen of death once and a few times while it was loading.  its completely at random, somtimes a few minutes go by sometimes not even that.  its rediculous.

how can they make the first imperviouse to probloms and the second one not?  i dont understand.

i personally am highly upset, waited four years for this game and all i get is crap.  wouldnt you agree?

I share your frustration!  And I agree 100%!

I have a great idea....Why dont you guys (lionhead) just put out another patch fixing all these issues, Seems like alot of us are having the same problems. I too share these same problems and am not happy. Why is it so hard to just put out a game without bugs, and also the game has been out for what now? 2 months or so...Im sure it would only take a day of your time to fix. So just fix it and then we will all be happy.

I got the game for christmas, I was not conected to Xbox Live and at the very beginning of the game when Im about to hear the trader the game freezes so I did not even play for over 2 minutes and I've tried to clear chache, trn off the multiplayer orbs and stil I cant get through that part!!

EVERYBODY!! i had the same problem where i couldn't even play 2-4 minutes then freezes. but i downloaded the game to my hard drive and i got the whole childhood without any problems. luck all

Lionhead has made statements about the Bloodstone and Abbot glitches and said they apparently cant find whats causing the freezing...they didnt even say if we should get new disks or just wait.

Well everyone I'm getting my 3rd copy today. I'm going to try all the possible fixes again to see if they work and I'll post results.

I don't know if anyone else has tried this solution, but it is working for me.  I just bought this game 2 days ago and I kept getting the freezing problem about 5-10 minutes into the game. I tried everything and it always froze at the same place. I returend the game and exchanged it for another brand new copy; same problem.  I tried the game on my friends Xbox360 and it works just fine, he has the older model and I have a recently bought 60gb newer 360 non elite.  So I thought i'de try installing the game onto the hard drive.  After doing so the game has been working perfectly smooth without any problems and has not frozen in hours.

How exactly did you do that?  I have seen a few posts of people installing to the hard drive, but I don't know how to do it.  Nothing in the options I can see.

Well we were very frustrated as well.  After returning this game twice the third replacement game was still freezing.  After reading the posts I have tried downloading the game to the hard drive and guess what, we have been playing for 1.5 hours without freezing...

To download on your hard drive:

Go to the menu <<My XBOX>> press the Y key on Fable 2.  Once you have press the Y Key it will provide you with some options.  One of them will be to download the game on your hard drive.

Seriously, I didn't even know this option exisited - so thanks for the help.  My case may be different from many others.  I cannot go into Westcliff.  As soon as I step foot in, I get the Loading Westcliff screen with the gears followed by a black screen or the hung Loading Westcliff screen.

As far as I know, I can go anywhere else.

What update are you on about? I have had sort of the same problems at the bandit coast but i cant go back on the game at all.

Just bought Fable 2 and played for 3 hours. Unable to load save game. Did the cache memory clear procedure, installed in HDD. Nothing is working!!!

When is Lionhead going rollout a new update for the game?

Will the game ever work properly? Do we need to just return the game?

First of all, great game. But might as well put my story into the mix.

Got the Xbox Arcade this Christmas, as well as Fable II. Put it in and it's workin' fine and dandy.

Then i got the Wireless adapter and upgraded to NXE. All of a sudden every 10 minutes or so im freezing and i have to get up and restart the Xbox by hand.

Maybe the disc is handling NXE the wrong way? I dunno maybe just a thought. =P

that is one of the only differences left. the arcade is using a wireless adapter. the old one is connected directly. I will test that next.

Unfortunately, that did not make a difference.

Just went to Gamestop to exchange my game just for fun. Didn't make a difference. The store clerk told me I will have to wait for a new update before I can play the freaking game again.

People! the online has nothing to do with the freezing of the game.

I think you maybe on to something Double, i've only had this problem since the upgrade to the dashboard. I have to admit that my 360 is around 3 years old but must say that i have never had any problems and at the risk of putting the mockers on it i have never had the dreaded RROD.

 

Is it possible that this is becoming a Microsoft issue as opposed to one created by the game developer?

now see, thats what i did.  i instaled the whole game to my xbox hard drive and i played for like 12 hours.  no probloms whats so ever.  it takes about 6.5 gigs to store it but you can play the game from the hard drive.  so vertually its like a computer game.  works great.  i have had it like that for a few days without any probloms.

i also tried installing the game to my hard drive and now it doesn't freeze at all, and i've been playing it for days!  i suppose i should also suggest playing the game from the harddrive while the disk is in the console and switch the multiplayer orbs off.  if you'r game is freezing every 5-10 minutes like mine was i suggest doing this to solve the problem

I tried that and it still freezes!!! Did it work for anyone else?

Also, if the xbox360 isn't even connected to the internet is still freezes!!

Has any hear anything from the maufacture?

Sorry. I have only tried the turning off orbs part not the downloading to the hard drive. I will try that now.
