In the milo video at 2:37 shes about a second and a half shy of convincing me milo is real.  The ripples part about the time her hand returns to her chest, then she hurries to quickly play it off.

Although, I may very well be mistaken. But if IM not my question is how far did you expect to get?

   I have been a fan of fable since release of the first game. Fable 2, I got excited about because I thought it delivered on the promise of an entirely open world I could explore, but it was cleverly linear. I thought We would be able to plant acorns and grow trees, again, Linear into the story. We were promised many things, and we would never have wished these promises filled if fable wasnt a great game. But damnit peter Stop lying to us! Fable 2 was a beautiful game, a great experience overall, but it wasnt even close to what you told us it would be. I said to myself "You know what its easy to get excited about your own work and your own idea its just natural. But now im curious, why would a knight so honorable lie to millions (however trivial it may be) more than twice?

 IM no one, in Peters world in the family of royalty Im no one, I dont even qualify as an american. But, being a someone is more reason to be honest, not an excuse to be dishonest. I can understand making promises in the hopes that by the time its time to fill those promises you will be able, but we dont want just beautiful imaginative videos showing what we hope, we would like to recieve it. The bible says its better not to promise if you have no intention of filling it.
  
   But, By God I will by the next Fable game and anything that comes from lionhead. Because its beautiful, its different and as an artist I enjoy it. But the truth is Lionhead still just only "Has the right idea".

Yep I saw this ages ago, devs have denied it but there's no denying its there in that particular video. I'm not doubting the test time the public have had though.

Also when Claire is drawing the picture while she's still drawing the camera is already zooming in dramatically on milo who reaches up at exactly the same time and we know milo can't understand what people actually say just emotions meaning that must of been staged cause there's no way of Milo knowing that a picture was being drawn.

Hm? Your complaint seems to be with the ripple technology, which the journalists who played Milo have also said needs some work. Well, LH has plenty of time to get those ripples right but I don't see how this relates at all to Milo's AI.

What I mean by that is you created an animation for advertisement with every intention of producing close to what you showed the world. Give us a taste and learn to cook while we are waiting then you serve it to us and we are less than satisfied because who ever really gets what they want and you got away with a lie and who is the wiser right?
   As long as the product "Milos world" gets on the shelves and it will who cares if the demo was faked?

Considering that the press has tried this demo themselves and seen their own image in there, I don't think it's a model.

 ok 1st of all, AI, that stands for ARTIFITIAL INTELLIGENCE (i don't care if i spelled it wrong). That means it can do *** on its own (to a certain point that is) so Milo can see us using the sensor. So what if she rehearsed it, wouldn't you? I mean if i'm trying to sell next gen technology i'm going to make sure that in my presentation nothing goes the way i didn't plan for it you go. That's just being smart, and they even let a select few from the audience check it out.

and what onosaki said. shut the *** up. i mean really, i highly doubt that if you or lionhead were to create a game, you would win. and that is because your retarded. i don't think you see the big picture. games started off like pong (2d, slow, few controls and no story). then you have super mario (2d, faster, little more controls, and a story). then you have mario 64 (3d, fast, amount of controls, and a story) you get the point for the rest, but now we jump to wii/360/ps3 (3d, hd/blueray, plays music, plays movies, internet, and plenty of more). natal (your body and movements control the game). and who knows what else is going to come out.

What i am trying to say, by creating new technology like this, we develope newer technology that can help people. Let's forget about the game world. Say one day they can make a game so that your mind is in the game. I'm going to use people that are vegetables for this example. If your a vegetable (people that can't do anything, sort of like paralized people), you can't do anything (physically). so if your mind were to be able to go into this "game" you could actually live a *life*. So say you have a family member that is a vegetable you could actually spend time and do things with them in this virtual world and spend the quality time that you can't in the real world.

The product showed in the trailer, probably wasn't final. Sure there probably is acted parts. Have you ever seen a commercial for computers and wi-fi internet then look closely at the bottom in the small print. Images shown are simulated. If Milo was working 100% right now this instant...then there would be no excuse for that. However NATAL is a new frontier for Microsoft, I highly doubt a game will be NATAL equipped this instant. The trailer shown is to simulate how Milo will work once the final product is finished. So it doesn't really matter if there is acting or not. As long, when the game comes out, that it works then in the hands of the player. Now, I don't believe the entire viewing was simulated...but perhaps some areas that need work, which may have been an area you have discovered, congratulations on your close little eagle eye for finding things out of place..which I don't know if the are you are looking at is simulated or not...but there may have been some altering in that area, maybe off-screen or perhaps it is as you noted simulated. When games such as Fable II were shown in their beta stages, showing regions that were cut from the game, people were a bit upset on not being able to get to that test area, but the final product is still something facinating. I wouldn't expect much news, actual interactions without debugging, scripting, and wire pulling behind what the public sees at this point. I would however like to see how Milo progresses once NATAL goes public for the Xbox 360.

Natal has a camera, what you see in the water is just a video feed of her. Whether the feed is live or not is irrelevant. Anyone can get a live web cam and distort the image, so it’s rather pointless questioning this rather minor feature, when it’s capable of so much more.

Its like saying, "Hey I have a camera, I wonder if I can take pictures with it".
It’s a freaking camera! Natal has one built into it!

So you might ask, was it rehearsed? Yes of course it’s rehearsed; it’s a promo video. The amount of actual technology demonstrated is unknown. Give Lionhead a break they've only been working on it a few months.

Yeah It's obvious that the ripples were created from a previously recorded video of her and that she was acting out the same scene to make it look like a real time mirror image. I imagine that was to avoid showing off a ripple system that still has issues, and to make sure the ripples we see are of the quality they will be able to produce once the system is debugged.

It's also obvious that the reactions are staged as we know Milo will only react to things said when the microphone icon is on screen, and he reacts to things said when it is definitely not on screen.

Overall this video should be taken as a demo of what the final product is going to be like.

Ok...Umm..I'm just going to go ahead and unload on you, forgive my curseing. Ok, first of all *** you Onasaki, *** you and all that you stand for, you are the most stubborn person I have ever known...Well now that I got that off my chest let's get to business, instead of thinking clark1250 is crushing peoples dreams maybe hes prepareing them. Let's face the truth instead of falling into denial, LH has a HUGE reputation of deceiveing it's fans, so it is actually a deed to tell fans to not dwell on it too much.

Secondly, LH basicly IS a big foundation of crooks...They tell you all this awesome stuff and then when the game comes out you *** in your pants and go by the game right off the shelves for 60 - 80$ You go home and play the game only to find out you just wasted 60 - 80 hard earned dollars, well, the game was OK in my personal opinion...I think it's just a slight upgrade of the last fable game.

Thridly, LH didn't just make a small f****ng mistake, they shat on our head, and when we asked for a paper towel they fart in our face. Grammar is not NEARLY the epic fail that is LH..Well, not much LH as PeterM, actually the LH dev team is probally a nice bunch of folks, but PeterM keeps f****ng promiseing the moon and the stars to us and giveing us a 'Slightly' better *** sandwhich instead. Let's face it, PeterM isn't a game maker, he's a f****ng con artist.

Calm down, Lionhead isn't sitting in their offices with grins on their faces that they'ved fooled the world.  It's obviously a pre-recorded tech demo of a work in progress.  Not sure why you'd expect anything else from a planned Microsoft presentation.

A live presentation would just be too risky in my opinion when something is at such an early stage. I would imagine the filmed demo is just to pitch what it will be like when the game is released, so it's bound to be scripted, any major mistakes might turn people away.
