If it would have been the Games Convention in Leipzig, I could have spend an afternoon there, but Cologne is too far away to just go there for a few hours. Too much to do at work to get a full day off. I should not have gone on vacation in the first place the last weeks.

Everyone should boycott Ubisoft and their new Online DRM for PC games. This has gone too far in the reduction of the rights of users and I am sick of it! It is not made to fight piracy, but to control the customer.

Yeah ther eis no way in hell I would be able to go . I wish that for something this big they would have it in the big apple (NY). Oh well I guess I'll just have to wait for the first person to post up what Peter is going to say.

Hey Sam is this going to be on t.v. or internet?

I'm confused. Are Gamescom and GDC Europe separate events? They have two different websites and GDC takes place Aug 17-19 while Gamescom is 19-23. They're both in Cologne, but Sam's using Gamescom and GDC Europe interchangably in this topic. As far as I can tell they're two parts of the same show, with GDC being for developers and Gamescom a trade show open to the public.
