Right so i've seen a couple of threads asking for ides for Black & White 3 but what i wanna know is if theres going to be a Black & White 3 if so when if not why

and what would convince Lionhead or even microsoft to put one in production maybe if some people managed to start a pertition or something

because it's kinda bad just to leave it how thay did i mean what happened after we defeted the aztec god

and may i subjest that if thay do make the game make it so it helps patches up the gap between Black & White 2 and fable 1

I don't understand why LH doesn't seem to be pursuing  B&W3. They did an amazing job with B&W2, even though they didn't include a bunch of content (you can find unused model/skin/texture files for things like a battering ram, a ballista, an egyptian tribe, etc).

They simply didn't have the time/resources to perfect and polish B&W2 (I'm assuming thats why), so I don't get why LH appears to treat the franchise as red-headed stepchild. Its not a failure like Fable 2 was, in fact it has much potential.

They should definitely consider revisiting the game... and maybe supporting the modding community like it says they will at the top of the modding forum.

Theres a modding community which is dying to make new content and make many interesting mods, but for some reason LH won't throw us a bone.

the reason why theres a lot of unused stuff in Black and White 2 is because Lionhead did not have to money to finish it which is a shame because it had the potential to be one of the best games ever and because of that Lionhead likes to keep its distance from it which is also a shame because with the kind of modders that are about the game has the potential to be so much more

as for them continuing the series i think maybe if some thing like a petition was started and gained enough support Microsoft and Lionhead would defiantly start making a new one 

 

A Fable Black & White crossover could be achieved in the future, zoom in far enough to see your hero in Bowerstone, zoom out and play God. Ha heh. No... maybe in twenty years time.

I posted in another thread about this. I really don't think Black & White is done and dusted. Make the best of B&W, Creature Isle, B&W 2 and Battle of the Gods. I think even if you got tens of thousands of signatures on a petition, that you wouldn't see a Black & White in the foreseeable future.

Besides, probably better to let a idea from a dev kick it off, than a demand from gamers. The modding community, given enough thorough tutorials, could breathe new life into Black & White 2... me thinks. It's just a problem with mustering the effort to get it together.

Technically, Black & White 2 was a failure, in comparison to pretty much every other Lionhead game, I think it got outsold by the other games, thats why they disbanded the B&W team, or unless they could always have a b&w3 project in secret that they arent telling anybody about...

They are to busy with Fable 1,2,3 that they dont give a *** about B&W2 anymore. B&W is history and unless anyone can change LH's mind then there is no hope.

I don't think we're going unnoticed. But either juristically Lionhead can't do it, or they simply won't reveil their B&W plans untill they think it's a time for it, marketing-wise. Either way, if these threads are getting read by Lionhead, they'll tell you about it when/if it suits them.

Untill I liturally hear Lionhead or Microsoft say there will never be a B&W 3, I'm not going to asume there won't be.

That's a very question. You've been told that Lionhead won't make BW3 because you keep spamming their forums, and you should find that pretty obvious yourself, so why do you keep making threads and posts about it thinking it'll make Lionhead make the game?

Maybe they are waiting to get money from fable 3 so they have enough money to fully finish black and white 3 so it doesn't end up like B&W2 (a incomplete game that had the potential to be one of the best)

An Egyptian tribe was in the game, you see them on the tutorial island after you get your creature. There was also a different tribe on the second tutorial island (before you go to the Norse). So in total there should be 6 races I believe.

Aztec

Japanese

Norse

Egyptian

And the race who's name i can not remember.(i cant find where the skins are currently)

The second island was the Norse race as well. Same models as the Norse from the third island.

As far as B+W3 goes, I'm not even sure it's needed yet. Not from a business point of view at any rate.

The playerbase that visits game company forums and provides feedback on current games, as well as ideas for future games, must comprise less than 1% of the overall playerbase of the game series in question. Since the majority of the other 99% tend to rate games on graphics and ease of play, B+W2 is still going to be considered a great game by most.

So while B+W2 is still considered by most to be a "current-gen" game, and with Fable 3 and Milo in full-swing as Peter's figurehead games, I doubt we'll be seeing a new B+W for a few years.

One thing i'm confident of is that B+W has amazing potential as a wide audience reaching game. Cute furry animals, city building, and large-scale battles (hopefully next time...) advertise the game with attractive qualities for almost everyone. I have a friend who typically hates games, on consoles and pc, but who asked to borrow B+W2 when he saw me playing it the other day. It just looks that fun and interesting to non-gamers. With that in mind, LH would be crazy to drop this IP. It's safe to assume they're just waiting for the right moment, and maybe for that really special, really awesome idea, that a forum member will present one day.

BW2 was a bit of a flop compared to the first one and well it's been 6 years now, a sequels highly unlikely after such a long period of time. Then again there is a Max Payne 3 coming out soon.

Well it was published by EA. And dont hold me to it but I thought I heard they sold the liscense to EA. And if im wrong and got bad info. I would love for a dev. to correct me. If all this is true then the best shot of this happening I could see is a Albion version of B&W. This would be one of the few title I could see being on Natal. And id love to see it as a xbla for around 1200ms.

The main reason Lionhead have not done another PC game is becuase Microsoft are putting an end to PC gaming, they tried implimenting Xbox Live Gold into games, but it was branded as an xbox 360 only thing so no one bought it for the PC.

So microsoft refuse to let Xbox games developers develop PC games, they dont fund for the PC games. If Lionhead were to leave microsoft another pc game might be possible, but Lionhead simply dont churn out enough games to make a fund for their own PC game.
