    Black and white 3: GOOD ideas

    I have been reading the forums and notice on the other black and white 3 ideas topics there were a lot of idiotic ideas such as making it in the 21st century. Seriously, that would ruin the game and Lionhead would never do anything that bad. they may not be making a new black and white game anytime soon, so there is no guarantee they will even take any of these into consideration. but nonetheless, back to topic, the 21st century idea would suck because nothing would make since. in the current era of the games mythical creatures would make sense but in the 21st century a 20 foot tiger fighting tanks wouldn't make sense. It would die in one hit from it causing its head to be blown off. It would not work out so we need to just discard the idea of the 21st century completely.

    To begin with, we need to keep the time era the same. We also need to keep creature but get more of them like in B&W creature isle. It would also be nice to bring back creature tattoos and how they were more interactive with you in B&W. Also it would be nice for them to get bigger than they did in the last game. Another G o o d [Good] idea would be that instead of rarely using the miracles you saved tribute for, they would use them more often. I constantly sent my creature to battle and he rarely even used the miracles i got for him. Also the creature creator idea would not be as G o o d [Good] as some people may think. the creature would not look as G o o d [Good] (notice how on the creatures they have fur and shells? it would be extremely hard to do that in a creature for the average user. even more experienced users would have trouble.) so we should discard that (unless Lionhead being one of the greatest game producers can make it work) also if the creature could jump over buildings to get to places faster and places he couldn't reach because there isn't enough room to get past them.

    Second, being able to pick your tribe would be a G o o d [Good] idea also. we should also bring back some of the races in the first game. Also instead of it being Greek vs Aztec there should be more factions like Greek vs Aztec vs Norse or Japanese or an entirely new race. there would of course be allies but i was stating the main race like how Aztec ruled the other races and the Greeks ruled the other ones after conquering them. 

    Also making G o o d [Good] and E v i l [Evil] even more visible in everything. For example instead of buildings just changing color they actually changed like the architecture would be more E v i l [Evil] or G o o d [Good].

    when it comes to military it would be nice to see a new class such as horsemen (cavalry). Also bringing in ships would be a great add-on. the ships would fill with soldiers and when it came to land they would run out onto the shore like in Greek warfare. the ships would stay and could be refilled with troops. you would just select a platoon and click on a ship. there would of course be a limit on the amount of troops it could hold, like 50 or so, and there would be sea battles like how Greek battled at sea. also more siege weapons like trebuchets, and siege towers. Also instead of soldiers just getting darker when E v i l [Evil] they should become demon like (growing horns, tails, and wings) although they couldn't use the wings and if they did it wouldn't make them better than neutral soldiers. for example they would fly instead of walking but only a few feet of the ground, so they couldn't fly over stuff nor would the be faster. and G o o d [Good] soldiers would grow wings and have halos. their flying would be similar to the E v i l [Evil] soldiers.

    It would also be nice to see a return of the temple from the first B&W.

    Also some sort of online multiplayer matches. possibly by choosing a map then a style (like where you start off with nothing or where you start off with a prebuilt city but just to the point where you have the necessary buildings but you can continue to build.)

    here's some more ideas:


    • more food sources (hunting, fishing)
    • improved creature fights
    • maybe a tsunami epic if there are ships at sea.

    Please help add ideas to this.

    I have a couple of G o o d [Good] ideas.

    1. to be able to choose 50% G o o d [Good] or E v i l [Evil] to start off
    2. the same thing for your creature
    3. new weapons for your platoons or just new platoons like, spears, axes, maces, chain and ball, and whatever else LionHead can come up with
    4. an area just for ships and small islands for your creature
    5. let your creature swim
    6. an avalanch wonder
    7. choose the race's god you want to be, with a different story to be played for each (example: if you choose Aztec, you will play as the bad guy concouring other tribes and watching the Greek join of defeat the other tribes. and also watch them try and beat you, but you can still be able to defeat them)

    If I come up with anything else, I will reply again or edit.

    Black and white 3: GOOD ideas, or just ideas *you* like? =D

    Dude, you really should have posted this in one of the existing duplicate threads - Ideas for Black and White 3 and Black and White 3 Suggestion, Add Input - rather than creating an entirely new thread... weirdly, with a list of ideas that for the most part have already appeared in the threads mentioned. I know because:

    I mentioned ships, fleets, and ports for moving colonists in one of those threads (which is still on the first page with the other duplicate thread). But I know it's not a new idea, because if you check out some Black and White 2 concept drawings, you'll find a suggestion of villagers and warriors crossing water, and also the idea of using the Black and White missionaries in Black and White 2.

    Also for the other ideas, multiplayer was/is a universal want. Changing buildings with alignment exists already, but not to the extent that was originally intended. You'll see a temple on that concept gallery with broken statues and the like. Improved army units and siege equipment has been suggested by those who enjoyed the RTS elements of B&W2, and absolutely scorned by those who didn't like the RTS. So with that in mind, in my opinion, most of 'your' (lol) ideas are G o o d [Good], as your title suggested.

    I would disagree with the custom Creature thing though. I think the Wolf and Tiger in B&W2 looked ridiculous when you reached any extreme. The Wolf especially is malformed with either G o o d [Good] or E v i l [Evil] alignment, and the Tiger, I think, just has pants texture and no real facial features that you can make out up close. Gotta look at it from a distance to appreciate it, oddly. Looks like a Tiger when you begin, but going extremely G o o d [Good] or E v i l [Evil], it just looks odd.

    If you had a setting to adjust the features, colours, extremeties, you could create something unique to you. As was promised at the release of Black & White 2. I remember seeing PM saying: "No two Creatures will be alike from player to player." Yet my girlfriend and I played seperately, but our chosen Apes were identical save for hers being oh so slightly heavier around the waist.

    I think the E v i l [Evil] apearance of villagers (black hair and pale skin) to G o o d [Good] villagers (blonde hair and tan) as with the Fable hero... is weak. So having horns and halos on villagers or warriors doesn't do it for me either.

    I played Fable through a few times and managed to keep my hero at twenty-five years of age (using the temple rewards) and neutral, just to keep him looking normal and young. Not like the perfect Nazi poster-boy Arian G o o d [Good]ling with halo or the black-haired and horned E v i l [Evil]-doer. So I'd extend the idea for custom creatures... to custom... everything. Villagers, buildings, warriors...

    Because E v i l [Evil] things aren't always E v i l [Evil] looking. I'm sure there've been some beautiful E v i l [Evil] people, using their beauty as a weapon in performing E v i l [Evil] acts. (Lady Grey anyone?) For Black & White 3, why not let a player have a green and glorious city, with massive regular armies... and let that player be E v i l [Evil] at the same time? Might be a G o o d [Good] God to his own people, but E v i l [Evil] toward the enemies of his people.

    Blurred line between war is E v i l [Evil]... and war... against E v i l [Evil]... can be G o o d [Good]. the Aztecs are E v i l [Evil]... going to war with them... meh. Your Creature gets E v i l [Evil] points for stamping on attacking armies in your own city. Surely that's a G o o d [Good] thing? Because if it didn't do it, your city would be destroyed. I like the simplicity of the way it is... because it's so... uhm... Black and White... but at the same time, it annoys me too. Crazy [:crazy:]

    By ships is meant (which i stated in the post) war ships that can transport ships. these ships are also called  biremes and Triremes. The ideas are not just ideas i like just G o o d [Good] ideas for the game that would not ruin it. I did not read all of the post because there are to many.

    When i said creature creator i was referencing to a post about making it like spore. being able to adjust things would be more of a customizer not a creator.

    Also i was suggesting that troops look more E v i l [Evil] when your at 100% E v i l [Evil] instead of just getting dark and vice versa.

    Many of your ideas are G o o d [Good] as well such as the green city. that could be implied in the game by a selection you make or acts. or something else entirely.

    Also, even if they did have pictures of things that are not in the game they can still bring it into B&W3.

    I agree that just because it reached concept it doesn't have to be discarded if there ever is to be another Back & White. But the ideas must have been discarded for a reason. I think probably the introduction of ships raised the question of moving from island to island.

    Maybe it brought up loading screens breaking up the play, and technical issues moving between each island, and also maybe the question of defense against ships. You'd have to have a defense, they'd have to introduce naval warfare, and a whole new bag of problems to pile up on everything else that was being worked on in B&W2.

    Missionaries in Black & White - the enemy never used them. B&W2 comes along with the introduction of the impressing system, along with the armies, it meant that once a town was vacated and the people were migrating to your impressive city, you could send an army to take the town and not rack up E v i l [Evil] points. The missionary became obsolete. Though I still miss him.

    I think a Creature creator, and feature for customising an existing Creature, both would work. Fur 'n' all. Fable needs this too. S'in the dark ages when it comes to character creation against competing RPG's. If Molyneux wants to put out the best RPG of all time, he's gotta stop having stories based on a character the player didn't create. It goes against the grain of true role-playing. Mind you, so does not speaking with the occupants of the world. Heh.

    There are some advanced creation options in many games, and given a wide enough variety on a default body-type, it wouldn't be a stretch for B&W3. It would also be pretty epic to see what people could do with it, and their Creatures.

    I think if people wanted horns on their soldiers, or halos, to suit their alignment, that's great. My only problem is with the lack of choice there. E v i l [Evil] is horns and black, and G o o d [Good] is halo and blonde... I don't get why. I think a certain bearded saviour belonging to one of those cults is often depicted with brown hair, go figure, he must be neutral. Nervous [:nervous:]

    A simple slider for changing the black to white, the light to dark, the shadow to a glow... if you want horns, claws and wings slide away and get it. But it shouldn't be something you can't change IMO. Even if this slider only appeared as a bonus for completing the game and was available on your second play-through or something. I like the E v i l [Evil] that doesn't look E v i l [Evil]... it has so much more potential and threat than the E v i l [Evil] that clearly is... Knockedou [:knockedou]

    Naval combat, with fleets 'n' all, see Empire: Total War for how engaging that can be. But it would steal your attention away from your city and creature, as a battle could take time. Unless it was done like B&W2 regular combat... the click and prey method. Heal and replace (retrieve and repair) your losses, and repeat. Dead [:notalive:]

    Edit: The reason for "ideas *you* like" thing in my reply title, was because in your initial post you said a lot of ideas were idiotic. Which meant you didn't like them. That doesn't make them bad, or idiotic, dude. You didn't even read the whole thread. Wink [;)]

    Naval warfare would probably be best if it was similar to standard warfare so that it is not to distraction. I don't say things are idiotic just because i don't like them. i say they are because it would make no sense or it would not follow the storyline. Also your ideas in that post are great just like your others.

    I have a few G o o d [Good] ideas as well:
    1. Get to chosse what corlor you want to be.
    2. you first start of at your homeland and if you want to go battle anoter god you go to them or they come to you.
    3. Defitly what tribe you want to be here is a few ideas of tribes: Egyptian, Roamans, Greek.
    4. Get to make your own mircals only on your land of corse not on another homeland.
    5. Get to go into you temple aging.
    6. No tribut that just rund the game.
    7. Get to chosse weather you want to be G o o d [Good] or E v i l [Evil] and if so then you can get specaiul bargins.
    8. Boats on it so you can travel around just the island you are on.
    9. Vortexts aging the sam size that we can now open up if we have aerf pryer power.
    10. No levels!.
    11. You can make a alliance with a god if he comes on to your island or you go on to his. And he dose not get destroy by anthor god and dose not give you a chance to help!
    12. Your creatar is the alliment as you.
    get bigger better mircals: plague, volcano, mage storm. super mega mega blast. That mircal would need so much pryre power that it would take ages to get it destrose a hole land!

    you get to cruse a land as well like nemis did in BW1 on land you get to do them you can cruse of G o o d [Good]ness or E v i l [Evil]ness.
    13.If you start and land and you are not doing G o o d [Good] you can go back to your homland throght a vortex but if you want to come back a acculy your vilage was not that tron down. but you left you may come back to someone else vilage another gods village!
    14. Get to make you homelands landscape the way you want it!
    14a. You could say that is to much but go on to You Tube and type "Milo Lionhead" Then tell me they can do 14!
    15. have god's the same like on BW1!

    Well since we all are talking about Black and White 3 i like to say Black and white 2 and it's expansion could of been better then it was, the inlfuence area was so annoying cause i has all these offensive miracles but can only use them defensively and they never fixed the bug where you launch a fireball alone flat land and if there was a bump in the land you can only see if you zoom right in the fireball will sharply go up

    The biggest let down for me was the tribute system in BW2, it removed the interaction with god and creature miracle training in BW1 and the need to take over a town for an advantage (miracle wise) making the game too simple, i would like it if they bring back the creature training and gaining new miracles from taking over towns

    I really like them to bring back our Temples from BW1 and increase importances of having them but instead of having one altar at the temple have the altar in the village so you can keep the infastructure in BW2

    I like the infrastructer of BW2 giving more jobs to the villagers, i still don't like the fact that i still have to make breeder diciples just so they can breed i belive that if the villages have needs like food/wood/breed/certain buildings etc the village should be able to fix it themselves (giving enough time) but not do it for them, sure we help do it faster but if they need to breed they should be able to find themselves a partner without us telling them to be breeder deciples, same for the rest of the town needs we should be able to help out but not do it for the villagers

    As i said before i hate the tribute systems but instead of that to get advance buildings and miracles but have like a research building or job buildings for each profession that can increase productivity of the villagers for that profession and make better tools etc and discover new advance buildings etc, hell you can like have the village start off as cave men in mud huts and basic stuff and eventually advance into better buildings and become more civilized etc but only the villagers can make these advances we can't interfer and buy it for them, also we can the advances from over towns if we take over them but only if they have them

    i was dissapointed about the lack of miracles in BW2 as in BW1 and advance levels of the spells, i like in BW3 that you can aquire spells like in BW1 and to get stronger levels of the miracles you have to use them more and more and you discover how to make the miracle stronger

    Also i like more civilsations in BW3 and give us advantages for impressing or conquering that civilization by you can only learn certain advances and advance buildings and you can learn a certain type of miracles from that culture, ideas are endless with this one and i like someone mention that you can choose one for when you start the game

    Like other gamers i like few features in squeals i mentioned researching in an earlier paragraph but you also do stuff like being able to acsend a villager for some special reason or after we complete the campain we can do like a sandbox mode and make it like Warhammer 40000 Dark crusade andsoulstorm and one big fest to conquer lands and other worlds and you can apply a multi player version to that too, i read someone mentioned boats that can work too like advancing learning advance fishing with the fishing boats and transport ships to start a town on a new contenant when we finish conquer a contentant
