The needs of few, always. Just couldn't let poontang go (my dog).

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

First play through I was E v i l [Evil] but didn't have the attention-span to get to the ending. Haha. I actually got bogged down in the "impress the Abbot" bit, it was pathetic. I got too cut up with killing people and getting fat. Oops.

Second playthrough I was a Saint from start to finish. Except for a brief lapse of one or two murdered hookers in pre-renovation Westcliff, I was golden. So I chose the many. I do sort of regret it. In the other two you get some form of reward. Either dog or gold, but in the Needs of the One you get *** all. A letter of thanks and a gold statue, and all it does is make sure you get mobbed everywhere you go because everyone follows you "hinting" that you should propose to them. Annoying.

Then I went through as G o o d [Good] again, but got bored royal shitless and defected to the side of E v i l [Evil]. Much better. 1,000,000 gold and a seat of power at Castle Fairfax. Very nice. Although I do wish I hadn't wasted that cash all on the Castle. Sure it's nice and it sends a message, but it's ridiculous and I hated the place.

So I've experienced those two. I'm working through my current playthrough trying (and failing) to be as neutral as possible, so I'm gonna do the Needs of the Few. See if that gives me any form of satisfaction.I might save it just before making 'the choice' so if it sucks I can go back and choose the One instead.

Wait...does it auto-save after you choose?

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

I chose Needs of the Few, simply because the dog is one of the best features in this game (it's up there with the great combat system and property) and I couldn't let him die.

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

First play through was needs of the many. I was E v i l [Evil] once, a goul, but I saw how ugly I looked(Heroine), and didn't want it. Couldn't bear to bring my purity level down by one point ever since in any play through, accept to make my Heroine smaller. I don't like 'em tall... and muscular...

My first play through I picked The Needs of a Few.  I wanted my dog back and my bi monk hubby.  Stick out tongue [:P]Him and the six kids are very happy living in Castle Fairfax.

The Few. I wanted my dog back and I didn't know later I'd be able to resurrect him. The G o o d [Good] ending wasn't very rewarding and the bad ending isn't my style.

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

In the spire (when rescuing garth) I tried to LOSS AS MUCH EXP as possible just by ignoring all the orders the commedant gave me...

2times when he wanted me to look out the window(I stood there)

3time when he asked me to thank him for my pain lol Stick out tongue [:P] (gave him the finger)

3times for helping give food to the starving people.... only 3 times was possible

3times when he told me to KILL the guy...(forgot his name) I attacked the commadant... I press X by accident(didnt even know that was possible till then...)

    AND FINALLY

3times when he told me to go find out what happen to the missing guard...

I know its not ORIGINALLY what this forum is about but I did make these choises in the spire.... LOL

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

I chose The Needs Of Few choice....I actually broke down in tears when I was forced to make this decision...I actually kept the Xbox on and searched online trying to figure out what I would choose, I asked friends and family, it took about a week, and I thought my Xbox was about to burn out. Of course it didn't.....I cryed so much....It was sort of embaressing, but I felt so many conflicting emotions, I never thought a game could make you feel so much. But in the end I chose The Needs Of Few, I loved my dog, my dog saved me many times in battle and felt so real, sure sometimes he would glitch and just bark at me forever, but that was just a glitch..I had a wife and four lovely children, and I couldn't let them die, no, not ever. And this was playing a pure E v i l [Evil] character! And somehow after I made the last choice I completely turned around in moral direction, I didn't even realise it either, before I knew it I had a halo above my head...

That AND you don't get any E v i l [Evil] points for sacrificing some random villager to get the dog back.

Chose the needs of the one, but felt really stupid because I recieved less than I have earned from all the rent I had recieved during the game. I was already corrupt so didn't see the harm. Don't know what to do in my G o o d [Good] playthrough though!

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

I chose the needs of the one. Purely for RP purposes though. I felt like such a ***, and occasionally NPCs would make their comments about my choice, but what could they really do about it? Devious [:evious:]
Hey, my hero grew up dirt poor, got made fun of constantly by the ungrateful public, never wanted to settle down with a woman and have a family... what did the populace of Albion expect? Money was the obvious choice for him. Doggy would be missed, however, until my hero found a way of bringing him back...

Re: [COMMUNITY POLL] What choice did you make at the spire?

... for the price of another poor citizen. RP, indeed. It made the Needs of the Many such an easy choice to make. There wasn't much in the way of attachment to my family. I could go off for a week, two weeks even, and when I get back, the only thing my wife would be missing was a F**buddy. What a world, huh? What a shallow world.

I know, I'm terrible Knockedou [:knockedou]
Well if the hero is E v i l [Evil] it makes sense to do that, right? But then again, if it's for RP purposes, I could also see choosing Needs of the Many if it only means killing all of those innocent people again WTF [:wtf:]
Yeah, I tried the whole family thing with one of my heroes too, and it just wasn't worth it. They never seem to appreciate anything you do for them, no matter how many gifts you give them or money you allot to them, or even if you take your wifey/husband out for a night on the town. They're unfazed by anything and everything you do to better their lives Crazy []
Is there any way of telling if your wife/husband is cheating on you? Can you see them meandering the forest together, or even catch them in your house? ...Doing stuff?afraid [:afraid:]

The Needs of One. I really LOVED my dog but I could get him back with the DLC... Rose I didn't care much for. I didn't even have a wife and they all were gonna die someday. I didn't use the money for the castle i got my dude pimped out gear etc he looks like he could kill you if he stared at you angrily

If I WAS the hero in real life then i'd choose love cuz i'd actually LOVE my dog and spend time with it but since its pixels i'd much rather have virtual money plus it wouldnt be the same turning some retarded gay guy into a dog... i would want just a normal dog not some cursed human

I think the point of the poll is just that. If you really felt as though you were the Hero, then you definitely would have made the choice you say you would have if it were all real and not some dreamland.

Me personally, I just wanted to be G o o d [Good], because of the moral drama I face as a Christian. I can't help it, really. I tried to be E v i l [Evil] once, but I ended up going G o o d [Good] at the Spire. Of course, that has nothing to do with whether or not I was immersed in the game. I could care less if someone just yanked the controller out of my hand and chose the needs of the one.
