I just found a VERY serious glitch. The kind of glitch that can force a player to turn off their console.

During the Quest, "The Costume Party" in a cave I open a chest to get the Hobbe Costume, then I wear it. Then there is a glowing circle near a statue of a Hobbe. When I walk over it a Ghost Hobbe starts to run around in circles. I then run over the the crack in the wall when I get stuck.

The game didn't freeze though. Not exactly. Somehow the way the Hobbe was running around me prevented me from moving at all or even drawing my weapon. I could move camera but that is it. I could not even press start to go to my map and teleport somewhere else, doing so brings up a box that says event paused.

I left the console alone some 15 minutes and nothing changed. Then I tried something.

I turned on a second controller, made a Henchmen, and had her push that Hobbe by running into it. While at the same time I took the other controller to try to move. When I did that, the Hobbe would just try to run the other direction, but I was able to draw my weapon. So I kept doing that and eventually the Hobbe was interrupted enough that I was able to walk away from the wall. And once I did, the Hobbe exploded breaking down the cracked wall.

Clearly this is a MAJOR glitch. It's nice that I was able to find a workaround, but it looks like the glitch is because of the way the player interacts with the Hobbe, and probably because they programmed it not to explode on top of a player.

I don't know if it would do that every time, or if maybe it had to do with where the Hobbe was around me at the moment I reached the wall.. It was my first time doing this quest.

oh ya, and I found another glitch today too. In Bowerstone Market, near the bridge, facing the bridge from the markets to the left stairs. I went to the railing to jump over and go down onto the stairs that way when the game jumped a few times and I went through the crack between the stairs and the wall and fell under the dock where Murdo is in the water. I could see people walking overhead, but not the dock itself. I could not swim away because it's boarded up. I tried saving and quiting and logging back in, but was still there. I was only able to get out by using the map to teleport.

Lady Grey- I married Lady Grey on my earlier Fable character and made Fairfax Castle our martial home, afterwards she couldnt be found, some players told me thgat she gets stuck in a guard post and cant come out.

Jumping Off Fairfax Castle- I can actually jump off of fairfax castle when I make the highest amount of people follow me to the castle view spot near Luciens old study room.

NOTE: I have the Xbox 360 Version

Can you tell me what spot you are able to jump off of because i want to try it.

Getting stuck in guard posts and being able to fall through objects is a sign that the objects used to build the landscape are not totally together. The developers need to go in there, and just put something between them, even just an invisible object (invisible objects that are not drawn to not really affect the RAM except to the extent of the physics engine), just to put some friction there.

Though I wonder if you could exploit that guard tower glitch to take the Wife / Husband you won't want anymore, to lock him or her up for eternity, and still get to keep your children. A way around child protection services.

In an area called "The Last Beacon" which is reached from "Celestial Keep" which is reached from the Cursed Skull, there is a Graphical Glitch. Using a Repeated Crossbow, looking at the landscape below, while standing on one ledge, at several angles in view many of the trees are replaced by a solid color. Basically, they disappear and whatever is behind all the graphics, which looks like a green color, is visible.

I don't know if my skills affect it, and it in no way affected gameplay.

When playing co-op if you create a henchmen without a profile it will copy all of the abilities from the Hero, and if you set experience to give all the experience earned to the hero, and then the henchmen removes abilities any unspent experience from those abilities goes to the Hero even if there was no combat.

This really cheapens the game, especially if someone didn't mean to cheat. If you just play coop, and a friend changes abilities around and leaves allot of experience unspent it goes to the Hero.

When playing co-op with 2 profiles, if any gold is to be given to the other player it creates an odd stat problem where in one profile, when you add up how much was earned, spent, and how much you have it leaves a big gap in the numbers. There should be an extra stat showing how much gold was earned but given to a fellow, and how much was given by a fellow but not earned. The same problem occurs in the stats of one who was given gold by visiting another world.

When playing an character, when I first woke up before ever unlocking use of abilities, I went to rent out my house for like 7 gold, and then before I even got my weapon out I went to socialize. I was playing as a female, and flirted with another female and all of a sudden she gets really angry (homophobe), then I get a notice saying that I am a menace to society, and without warning pulls her weapon on me and I have to scramble to get my weapons just to defend myself. I had to kill them and quickly get out. Well, that house I rented out never earned any gold rent for the duration of the entire game. That should be fixed, and also, people shouldn't get THAT angry for being hit on that they would try to kill me.

I beat the game and chose the wish "love" but my wife is nowhere to be found she is lady grey (from the quest "love hurts") and the marital house is serenity farm (inside a demon door).

OK here's a really weird one if anyone can help that'd be great. So doing the main quest, the hero of skill im going through wraithmarsh to get to bloodstone. Finally get there and for some reason my wife, alex, (I married her from a quest, i dont remember which, it involved a ghost that wanted revenge) is there in bloodstone for some reason. I've heard a few times people saying their families teleport to where they are, ok, it was just her though and not our kid. So I traveled back to Bowerstone Market where our house is and it was fine, she was back there and our kid was there too. But Now, my wife wont respond to any expressions I do. She will say things when I walk by (we live in the best house ever, oh i missed you dear, blah blah) I can give her presents and it will raise how much she likes me, and stuff like that. but aside from gifts she doesnt respond to any expressions at all. She wants sex, and she'll offer and its supposed to let you thumbs up or something? but she still doesnt respond to any expressions i do and it's really annoying. any help please?

HAHAHA, listening to peoples problems is fun. But now it's my turn =) I married and moved into castle fairfax, had two kids and a baby in a carriage. Anyway, I'm OCD and can't help but keep them as happy as possible, sometimes I just walk around flirt with my wife and play with my kids for hours. But one day, I return to the castle to find that my children are running loose in the castle and my wife is no where to be found. I searched everywhere, but to no avail... But I frequently rechecked to find my wife, and after a few quests and village pillaging, I return to find my wife, only she's upset with me and going back to her mother. In my rage, I killed her in the main hall of castle fairfax. Then I saved and quit, and when I returned to the fairfax castle, her body was still there. Now I am re-married though, and her body does make a nice rug, not as as bear skin, but there's always a relinquishing happiness when my new wife and I wipe our feet on her back. Suddenly, it doesnt seem too bad. =)

D; I have some bad ones

I now have four children, not because I am awesome, but because 2 have dissapeared... one did that thing where she goes to be an adventurer and gets captured by hobbes
I couldn't take her back home I only assume because my family lives on knothole island
then my little boy got stuck in a post at home and dissapeared as well. Now I can't move my family away from the place so I can live in richer, safer (as in made when the quests were made so it doesn't glitch so much) anyone else have the knothole island ness??

I just got the DLC knothole. Finished the big freeze and along the way i was searching around and came to a door i couldn't open. So that black bar at the top of the screen came up and said this door cannot be oppend at this time. I saw it and was like whatever. Now it stays there all the time constantly saying this door cannot be opened. It wont go away and since it is stuck there when ever i highlight a NPC i cant see the info bar like i shoud. Does anyone have this or know if you can get rid of it?

Just go to another region and it will go away.

I have. I have traveled to everywhere i can and sometimes the message saying this door cannot be opened at this time will go away and then come back again later but either way i still cant ever get the info bar back at the top when i highlight an NPC.

I hope you did not save...

haha ya know i did. oh well. at least its not a show stopper

i havent seen my glitch mentioned anywhere so maybe its a first. i dunno. anyway, i cant go back to westcliff. after the loading screen it goes black then freezes. ive tried a couple different ways to get there. by boat, by fast travel, using a job, using the shooting range, after the crucible, exiting the howling halls, NOTHING works. goes black then freezes. im at the point where i have to increase my renown for reaver so i hope i dont have to go back to westcliff to finish the game. if so, then im screwed if it somehow doesnt fix itself.

also, i DLed the game from xbl, DLed all the episodes AND the knothole island and the see the future HOPING that there was an updated patch or something to fix it but NO. so wtf? im just supposed to try to play the game around this problem or start over? thats BS, lionhead should REFUND THE MONEY. thats what i think. if i woulda known about this i would of never of bought this game. anyone agree??

oh and also when i go into redecoration mode, i cant interact with any object to change/add furniture but i can add a trophy yet it doesnt actually appear. i dont know if this is a glitch or im doing something wrong but i have plenty of furniture and im not a 12 year old idiot either.

 

hopefully later on after doing some other quests or something, it'll somehow magically fix itself. otherwise i guess ill have to start over which is total BS. im a HUGE quester and ive probably put almost 40 hours in the game already because i take my time and explore everything. for instance GTA 4 took me over 90 hours.

That was totally fun... Played the entire game...  Got back from that Spire Gizmo, and was told to visit my family, and all I have is two kids and no more wifeypooh!

Which was Lady Grey BTW.

So, now it keeps telling me that 'Returning Home' is my current mission.

Another weird thing is that all of a sudden I can't kill bad guys anymore, but when my safety off: I CAN KILL FRIENDLIES!!!

normall pressing lt while near a person allows you to lockon and nickname them and such. well ever since i got a halo i cant do that. any ideas on how to fix that??

what do you is you install the game to your hdd load from that then load the game as usual port out of the area where you are freezing then the game should work normal again by the way you might want to keep loading from the hdd

i have this undead guy in knothole island dlc in the last dungeon and he just wont get hurt or die what do i do

I agree that fable 2 is mint but i have the same problem with the blind date quest. i have got the dood a date but then i have to walk slowly all around giles farm before i get there and then cannot give him his date information as it just goes round the A button and then does nothing.

Bounty Hunter quest. Killing Hobbes in a tiny Bowerstone Market Cellar. "Creatures Remaining: 185". I don't think you could fit even 18 in this cellar.

Well, I was fighting a bunch of bandits once, and when I killed the last one, he was twitching really bad, so I struck him with my katana again, and he flew up in the air! He was flopping and twitching in the air, and he would fly back and forth above you doing that over and over again. It was really odd.

I've just gotten FableII: Game of the Year Edition for Christmas and already noticed glitches.
In T.O.B.Y's find the mutton quest it was leading me back and forth around the side of the house and no where else - I raided the cupboard on my own and this fixed it.
It also keeps changing the trophy to Hobbe Leg after I set it to Crucible Trophy.
And lastly, I can't activate either Treasure Island of Doom to find Salty Jack even though I've finished the quest - it just keeps taking me to the waterfront with no trail and Salty Jack's disappeared; the same thing happens with The Blind Date, it takes me back to the farm but there's no trail and Rupert's disappeared.
This is really sad, it was a gift and I already can't finish two quests - I've only had it 4 days! :'(

Well its not the suit that's glitched but right after you get it in and put it on some hobbe ghost comes out of a statue and, i suppose that the ghost go's and blow up the big broken rock but as you can see in my video.... well he doesn't. My for noting dog is lying in its way and doesn't move. Even now I'm typing this, 10 minutes have passed and the ghost is still walking around my dog doing absolutely noting else. and that wouldn't suck as bad as this is an sort of cut scene where you locked in place. And as you might know, in Fable II when you are in some sort of cut scene you CAN'T go to menu.... so i can't load or save. DAMN YOU DOG!
