these are some things that i was thinking about when i was playing F2 last night, and thinking of F1.
Houses
in F1 you could upgrade a house, more or less redecorating it.
in F2 you could literally redecorate the house
some thing that i would like to see in F3 is that no only could you redecorate a house but also upgrade it, make it bigger, add rooms when you upgrade it or some thing to make the place not just look but also feel different.
Lakes/ponds.
in F1 you could fish, boy do i miss that, granted it wasnt perfect but it was still fun to do.
in F2 you could swim, but not fish.
i would hope that you could do both in F3.
item drop.
in F1 some times when you killed a bandit or trader they would drop a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) ie, like some gold or a potion.
in F2 no body drops any thing unless its part of the quest/story like getting the bandit leader in bright wood.
it would be nice if some NPCs did drop things or at least let you search the body.
buildings.
in F1 if you break a door or smash a window, it comes back after a while.
in F2 you break a door, thats it its broken for ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) .
i would hope that you could fix a door/window but at the cost of $$ for doing so
NPCs.
in F1 you couldl push an NPC that got in your way, meaning they couldnt block you.
in F2 this was a MAJOR annoyance that you couldnt push an NPC away meaning they would block you.
PLZ BY ALL THAT IS DARK AND UNHOLY let us push them around
items.
in F1 you had a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) amount of choice, normal items, dark items and light items, even armor.
in F2 there wasnt enough items of clothing, weapons tatoos or foods with ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) effects and you had no armor with an armored effect.
i would hope that there are more weapons, items of clothing of the same rank *star lvl* and yes i do hope to see armor that has the effect of armor, just needs to be tweeked a bit is all *heavy armor should not = god*
dog.
in F1 we had no dog, or need for one, didnt need any one for the entire game.
in F2 OMFG KILL THAT THING, KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT!!!!
he was annoying, buggy and would do things that didnt help you when you did need him.
PLEASE OH PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER DOG.
granted he did have his uses, but the game depending too much on a NPC that was too buggy to start wiht, maybe not every one had the same problems, but there were problems wiht him and they did destroy game play.
gold.
in F1 depending on what you did, you did have to work for your gold in one way or another, ether kill NPCs to buy the house, do quests or do trade runs from town to town.
in F2 it was WAAAAAAAAAY too easy to get gold, too many things gave you too much too fast, thou it was useful, it did make it harder for you to find things to do.
please make us work more for gold.
traders.
in F1 some times traders would have more than one of the same product, some times even 5 or as many as 12, more if you were playing trader.
in F2 it was always ONE item of each thing, meaning you would have to buy, then wait 7 days or travel to another trader and hope they have it, then travel back and repeat, that was VERY annoying, only bartenders or traders with beer would have more than one.
please bring back the multi items of items with traders.
npcs.
in F1 it was the same ...... 5? NPCs that you would see in the game, over all i liked them, but there wasnt that many.
in F2 there were more KINDS, it was still more or less just 5 per type, same guy with this had, same woman wiht that skirt.
please give us more NPCs, even the kids in F2 are saying we need more NPCs
all in all i think thats about the just of what i would HOPE to see in F3, i know its going to be ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) ether way, but still these are things that I THINK would help make it better.

I really liked the dog but if they gave us back the mini map, we could toggle on and off, then people who did not like the dog, could tell it to stay home, and go questing without it. That way everyone would be happy. I really hope they let us choose the dog breed early in the game though. While I would like to see a lot more clothing options in fable 3, it is clear fable 2 had way more options of clothing than fable 1. I agree that we need more NPC's, but more importantly they need more things to say. Things to say to you, to their children, to children in general, to each other, to their spouses, ect. I do hope merchants will carry more than one of each item in fable 3. Kinda annoying running around looking for more than one item. I also agree that we should be able to push NPC's out of our way. It may be their world but in is our game, and they shouldn't be blocking us so we can't play. I don't want them to make it too hard for us to get gold. If you think it is too easy then stop renting out houses. (Problem solved.) ![Smily [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif) (I like helping) I would like to see the return of schools and maybe even an orphanage. Maybe you could adopt some and take them to your castle or find other homes for them. Item drops would be cool. I wish I didn't have to push the button to make exp orbs come to me. Don't get me wrong I don't think it is hard. It is just a wast of a perfectly ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) button. It could be made to do something better. I would like to be able to augment clothing or even my own body. I would like if at the end of the game when I make my final choice to receive and item or spell. Then be able to start a new game keeping that item or spell. It would give me more of a reason to choose the different endings. I know most if not all of these ideas have been said before but I still like trying to come up with new stuff.

Don't confuse your personal taste with the fact that there were many more articles of clothing to choose from (and dozens of ways to customize most pieces with dyes) in Fable 2. TLC's "Dark" and "Light" does not constitute "unique" articles of clothing, as they were the same items in different colors.

first in reguards to the clothing, there were at least 3 different versions of the same kind, each one doing some thing different more or less.
Dark items did more than just make you look ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) , it scared people and gave you ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) points, same with the light items giving you ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) points.
also, look at how many items make you fat, look at how many items make you ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) or ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) , its just the crunchy chick and that one hallowman pie for foods that make you ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) , but there are what? 4 kinds of tofu?
now the gold thing, in F2 some things gave you too much gold and other things were just too cheep.
i know this has also been said, but its true, we need boss fights, no trolls and banshees are not bosses, that wasnt a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) choice.
i would also like to see the effects of giving gifts as more than just love/like points or what have you, like if you were to give some one a better shirt than what they had on, that they would then use it
*begger with a top hat*
this could also go for weapons as gifts and toys, give your husbans/wife a gun, sword or what ever and you see it on them, give the kids a teddy bear, see them carry it around etc.
NPCs used to be able to defend them self in fist fights, granted not all of them did but thats some thing i really miss, same with boxing a balverien
as for augments, i would think that if you had a fire based one in a bow/gun that the shot would catch on fire and the KILLING hit would set them on fire and so on.
as for the devs that may or may not be reading this, how else are they going to know if some thing is broken, needing to be patched or just over all not loved by any one unless the players of the game say *hey it sucks, dont do that*

Yeah, because the best way to create an innovative gaming experience is obviously to fall back on tried, tested, and tiresome formulae.
Oh dear, sarcasm. That's not like me.
But seriously, why bother to make any new games at all, then, if they're just going to follow all the same patterns as the old ones? On a more specific note, bosses are simply illogical from a narrative perspective. They're throwbacks to a time when game story (if there even was one) was a minimal pretext for the action. While that can still be the case in some games today, Fable is not one of them.
I don't 'do' sigs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

There were exactly 3 versions of Villager clothing, Leather, Chainmail armor, Chainmail Helm and Plate; additionally, there were two versions of the Wizard's Hat. The only real difference between the three was the colors and the (very) minor alignment mods.
You cannot possibly be suggesting that four suits of clothing with three color schemes equals 12 distinct clothing styles?? If that's the case, then Fable 2 has approximately 80 pieces of clothing with roughly 40-50 dyes and two different parts to be dyed on each piece which would come out to 6400 styles (!?). Also, in case you hadn't noticed, there were alignment mods on plenty of the clothing articles in Fable 2.
Trying to suggest that Fable TLC had more clothing options than Fable 2 is laughable. Just let it go.

no no thats not what im saying.
ok so we have the fancy gloves, cant remember the name at the moment, but any ways, i can color them but thats it, i cant change the alingment of them OR for an ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) character have ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) ones or what have you.
in F1 you had ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) and ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) clothing of the same type, but in F2 there was just one version of each thing.
F1 light, dark and normal villager clothing.
F2 some shirt ........
granted that in F1 the effects may not have been as great, but you could have the ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) villager clothing, but in F2 it was more limited.
like the ranger coat, lets say my guy was ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) , sure i can change the color to it, but i dont want the possitive effects or what ever from it, where is the dark and ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) ranger coat
as for the bosses and compairing this game to others, nothing wrong with trying some thing new, but that doesnt mean you cant use the same old tricks that have been proven to be fun.

Couple of things I'd like to see done differently, *The jobs need to either be more complex or done away with all together, they got boring really quickly. *I liked the Will system in F1 better than in F2. In F2 it took too long to get to the spell you wanted and lets face in combat I want to get to lvl 4 Time Control as quickly as possible. *I liked the clothing options in both. F2 didn't have as much armor though. The Armor needs to come back. I did, however like that I could make my hero look like a Pirate. *I know in the Fablology (History of Albion) The Guild is gone, but I think some one should train the hero in the first part of the game. The way it was condensed down to a mini dungeon in F2 was kind of meh. *I agree with pretty much everything above. If you do put a dog in this game, give us a choice if we want it or not. At times I found the dog annoying and other times I found it kind of useful. *If you guys are feeling Ambitious, why not add some areas outside of Albion like the Northern Wastes, Aurora, Samarkand. Maybe not all of these but even a little bit of one would be ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) . *BANKS, if I want to save up for a castle I don't want to lug all my gold around with me forever, I should be able to take it to a bank of some sort and store some of it. That's pretty much all I got, I hope you take my suggestions to heart

yeah some times i just use the worng ways to say what im trying to say, but eh.
any ways, reguardless of the modifiers, it would still have been ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) to have more classes of the same kind of clothing.
like how many kinds of noble gent coats are there? maybe i want my hero to look like a true adventurer with out being seen as another poor smuch just walking down the street.
hell if i could dress like a guard, maybe i would like to dress like one of the normal ones, or maybe as one of the soldiers *fairfax*
to me the choices were rather limited, if you wanted to be seen as a ....... well king, you only had a few items of clothing to pic and so on.

It's worth remembering that by the time a game has been announced, most of the major design decisions have been made.
These are made from feedback from previous games (if any) and the direction the design team would like the take the game in.
We do read all of your suggestions though, and take them on board where possible and appropiate.
Myself and other devs have explained in the past that it's very difficult, because even a change which seems small can have a "ripple effect" on other features, so everything has to be considered very carefully.

@Adus and other devs.
that is understandable and for the most part known to many of us, ether from just hearing what you or other devs have said, or by us having made a mod to a game in the past or other sources.
it is ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) to know that you guys will reply unlike OTHER companies that i could name.
you dont have to do every thing or even listen to half of what we say, no companie does.
i only hope that you and the others will at least look at the things that have been said, compair it to how many people agree, any see what can be done, if it cant then it cant, maybe not now but maybe in some DLC, but if that doesnt work ehter, at least let us know that you guys tried.
better to know you tried and failed as to think you didnt do it at all.
as a fan of both games, even thou i may be critical at times, i wish you guys best luck but dont rush it, delayed and working is better than rushed and buggy, prime example just look at EA.
