By the way, I never watch the original Doctor Who series from way back when, so I am not familiar with the original presentations of the Doctor.

Only the cool people don't watch the original Doctor Whos ;]

I said the same thing when Christopher Eccleston was leaving and David Tennant was coming on board. I wasn't aware of David's previous work and I didn't want Eccleston to leave. I thought he was awesome.

People generally feel this way about every change in the Doctor. It's kind of like having a favourite Starship captain.

The only thing worse than beating a dead horse is betting on one.

Usually, when the topic is science fiction, the most common theory, and the one I personally believe, is that anybody involved in that discussion is certainly not going to be the "Cool Group" of society.

However, that being said, they're all soulless conformists anyway.

    Can I go with her??

Anyways, isn't Doctor Who just a metaphor for life. I mean, who really knows who their doctor really is?

Oh yeah, I've never actually seen the show. Didn't Andy Millman once play an alien on the show?

Re: Doctor Who and The Eleventh Doctor

I see little hate, not sure where you're getting that from.
I like Doctor Who in its new incarnation. I liked Ecclestone and Piper, although his face pulling became tiresome. I preferred Tennant, I thought he was (and still is I suppose) terrific.

Moffat as the boss man makes me very happy, his episodes stood out for me; Don't blink. and the one on the ship where Dr did bugger all... can't remember the name, were bloody brilliant.
Plus he wrote Coupling, so he's a God amongst men.

G o o d [Good] TV should be acknowledged and celebrated, just as shite TV should be ignored. God bless the BBC I say.

As an aside, what ever happened to that old Doctor Who thread? And where is the prof "something or other" that made it required reading?
I think he called her "That bloody Tate woman". Always a fun read.

Re: Doctor Who and The Eleventh Doctor

Did any Brits out there see the new Doctor Who tonight?!

I didn't realise it was on, and when I saw it displayed on sky, I was like, Surprise [:O] omg! *freaks out*

And is it only me, or does anyone else think it was really sad? I was almost in tears more than once Hmm [^o)]

I didn't like the ending though, and how we now have to wait till Christmas for the next one :'(

Re: Doctor Who and The Eleventh Doctor

Say if a person wanted to start watching this show where would one start? It doesn't sound like you would need to go to the very first episode ever the way people are talking about it, so where would be a G o o d [Good] place to start?
