Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

    Sam:

That's not how you talk to people. You're banned.

I enjoy the co-op, it's G o o d [Good], together with the orbs it makes the game much more dynamic. It's a design decision, a G o o d [Good] one in my opinion but I am sure some will disagree. Now if only we'd let the Hero and Henchman use the 'seduce' expression on each other, or even get married. Smily [:)] Still, the online co-op is a nice extra.

Banning someone for saying they think all your games are failures? A bit harsh, if he'd said I was a fialure if life I wouldn't expect him to be banned, slap on the wrist maybe, but he's just another ass in the sea of asses that is the internet.

For anyone who can't see what I see I think Sam is subtly making the point that we, as gamers, would always want more. OK so we can play as our own characters, but we want them to get married and things, so they make that able to happen to, now players want to fight each other, now players can fight each other they want to be able to do something else etc.

There will ALWAYS be more a game developer can do, for one reason or another this time two different, dynamic characters wasn't viable (as the only other reason for not having it is if Lionhead didn't consider it, which I doubt, so the logical explanation is that they decided it was unworkable). Maybe next time, along with the other stuff that we, as gamers, will want.

For the sake of everyone's sanity though if a dev does read this would it be possible for Sam or someone to post a blog note just explaining why it's unworkable and if it was cut at the end of the development cycle or never worked on. It may act as flamebait in the comments section but for the sane, curious and polite of us it would be nice to know why.
