    Doctorderek,

    If you perform a search here in the forums you will find several excellent tutorials about recording voice overs. Some people have gone to great lengths to explain the methods to acheive the best results.

    I will post this link to audacity. It's the free software that lets you record, EQ, edit and convert your voice takes to the proper format for this software.(often OGG)

    Remember to keep the waveform level near 0db but never over. Don't "flat top" your recording(waveform gets a haircut)  because at that point you will hear distortion.

    Always add a micro fade-in and fade-out at the top and tail of each line to eliminate cliks on the in-out.

    Make sure your voice has enough brightness and bottom. ie.. use the Equalisation function.Experiment.

    Get a decent microphone to record your voice,

     and finally have fun!
