Just because I have friends with benefits does not mean I'm using the girls.  In fact, how could it be viewed as using them at all?  It's a consentual arrangement!  It's not like I screwed them then never called again.  On the contrary, I screwed them and called them again and said "Hey, let's do it again sometime."  And they said "Sure, sounds ."

Sounds more like casual sex encounters than friendship, though? Which does have the benefit that you do not have to worry about how to keep a relationship going, but only works if all you are looking for is casual sex.

Casual sex seems to suggest that it's not an ongoing arrangement.  Casual seems more closely related to the "no strings attached" encounter or even the one night stand.  There's an old saying that goes: "Friends are friends, pals are pals, and buddies sleep together."  This adage is mainly poking fun at those who use euphemisms to describe friendships that are, shall we say, more than platonic. So really, they can all relate to the same thing.  Call it what you will, but what I'm referencing is an arrangement between myself and a lovely lady where it's understood that while we can hang out and enjoy each other's company, our main driving force behind our interactions is that we can both enjoy recreational sex without commitment.

But the entire "friend with benefits" concept has become increasingly common.  First truly popularized in the 90's it's now becoming less the tabboo arrangement as it once was and in due time I'm sure the popularity will grow exponentially.
