Welcome to the Lionhead Studios forums!

Lionhead Studios offers these forums for its community and gamers in general. They can chat and share information, opinions and ideas with each other in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. If you’d like to participate in these forums, you will have to create a Lionhead Studios account, which also allows you to register your products and to participate and enjoy special features for registered members. And before you ask: no, we don’t send you any spam (unless you consider a newsletter spam?) or sell your information on. There’s only one thing we’d like you to keep in mind when using these forums: adhere to the Guidelines to these Forums and treat your fellow members with respect!

Guidelines to these Forums are listed below and explain to you what behaviour is expected of you and how you can expect other community members to behave, although every reported post will be evaluated on a case by case basis. This adds up to a social and safe environment, where people can converse with each other. Your access to these forums is a privilege, not a right; for that reason Administrators of Lionhead Studios reserve the right to suspend your account and access to these forums and any other online and community service for reasons that include, but are not necessarily limited to, your failure to follow these guidelines or behave in a way that is deemed as appropriate. Any complaints about posts should be submitted to moderators by reporting the post on the forums. To do this, you will find a button in the bottom right corner of each post, which clearly states “Report Abuse”. It won’t get any easier than that, now will it? Also keep in mind that abuse of the report button is considered a Moderate Offence and will result in a temp ban.

These will result in a permanent ban from these forums

Transmitting any Content in any Online Forum that LSL considers to be disruptive, unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; such as but not necessarily limited to:
Posting (images of) or Discussing Extreme Violence and/or Extreme Sexuality;
Distribution of Real-Life Information of other Community Members without the knowledge and agreement of this Community Member;
Posting Trojans, hacks, viruses, deceiving and/or damaging programs and/or software;
Posting ‘leaked content’ and/or ‘warez’;
Posting (images of) or Discussing Illegal Drugs and/or Activities;
Impersonating in any Online Forum any person, including but not limited to, an LSL official, or an Online Forum leader, guide, host or moderator;
Harassing, threatening, embarrassing or causing distress or discomfort upon another Community Member, user, or other individual or entity.

Offensive and harassing behaviour:

Transmitting any Content in any Online Forum that LSL considers to be disruptive, unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; such as but not necessarily limited to:
Spamming and/or Trolling
Posting or transmitting any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or any other forms of solicitation in the Online Forums;
Intentionally or unintentionally violating any applicable law, regulation or treaty while using or accessing any Online Forum;
Invading the privacy or violate or infringing any right of any person or entity, including, without limitation, any intellectual property right;
Abusing the reputation system;

Other violations:

For chat rooms, causing any chat room screen to 'scroll' faster than other users are able to type to it or any action of a similar disruptive effect;
Disrupting the normal flow of dialogue in an Online Forum or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other participants;
Advertising.
New Game Materials must not contain any illegal, obscene or defamatory materials, materials that infringe rights of privacy and publicity of third parties or (without appropriate irrevocable licenses granted specifically for that purpose) any trademarks, copyright-protected works or other properties of third parties.

If you continue to violate any of these rules above, and taking into consideration how serious the offence was, you will/might be temporarily/permanently banned from the Lionhead Studios forums.

Hello and welcome to the Lionhead boards. This thread is a place where you can introduce yourself to the community. Tell us a bit about yourselves. Who are you? Where are you? What got you onto this site? How long have you had their games (if you do)? Who was the first person who made you feel welcome? My name is Roger, I live in Eastbourne, England. With my wife Alex and our dog Tuc. I am a full time carer for Alex, who is disabled. We are very much in love with each other. (Awww!) I saw the movies in a game store and decided to check it out online, this was middle of November. I watched a lot of movies over the next three weeks and then bought the game 7th December. Since then I have got Black and White, and Fable, which I really love. When I first came to the forums, Glynner was the guy who inspired me and helped me. Prinzess was next, shortly followed by chocolatemouse. A message for older members: This is the thread that used to be known as; An Attempt To Build Community Spirit. The name has changed, because the needs of the community have changed. It has now been moved from TMO to OT as the communities needs have changed once again. We are always getting new members and I feel we should all make them feel welcome. To all: This thread was a big community group hug as well as a place to introduce ourselves. All hugs here are platonic, nothing inappropriate is allowed here, and definitely no gay jokes. So I shall start us off once again.

If you want to start a new discussion/thread in this forum, take note of some of the pointers below which will hopefully help you create a successful thread:

Links: If you want to share a link to a funny/newsworthy/thought provoking subject then feel free, this is the forum for you!! If, however, you then neglect to tell us anything about the link, expecting us to click on it and read all about it ourselves OR then just ask our opinions without sharing your own and giving a starting point to the discussion, then may you be cast into the pit of forum hell, your thread will most likely be locked.

Questions: You have a question about life, computers, films, world politics, anything your mind and can possibly ponder, then this is the forum for you!! If, however, you think it's easier to ask a question than to Google it, or do some of your own research, think again. Question threads that don't attempt to at least show the slightest of background to the question or have even the minimalist evidence you have attempted to find out the answer already, will have the consequences of you being told that Google is your friend, probably your only one. Yep, it's that time again when Lionhead don't have a game on the immediate horizon and the buzz around Fable 2 has worn thin.

Although there is another explanation. We've thrown around the topics of abortion, gay rights, religion, amateur eugenics and the finer qualities of cheese so much we stopped scraping the bottom of the barrel years ago. Say it aint so.
Also, the lack of vBulletin is probably to blame. I miss being able to make polls.

Just making this thread because it's been pointed out that nothing has happened in the OT for a while so I thought I'd spice things up with a political debate as they usually tend to be a interesting thing to discuss here. I wanted to see what thoughts people have on Anti-fascism and fascism... do you think there just as bad as each other? or better still are they just the same thing altogether. Personally I can't see how Anti-fascism is any different, when you strip it down to the basics the goals are pretty much the same... to stop people from doing some thing that they don't like, mainly stopping fascist from being fascist by telling them what they can and can't do.

I am kind of new to politics and I've only been following them for about a year now so maybe some of the more learned members may be able to shed so light on my thoughts but the only difference I can see is the way they present them selves.

You can be as broad or as specific as you like, just describe an ideal mate for you, weather it be male or female. What are somethings that would make someone "ideal" for you? Talk about hair color, style, personality, etc. whatever would attract you to someone special. Ill go ahead and start off.
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Characteristics: Great smile, fun to be around, trustworthy, sense of humor, truthful.

The whole reason I got this idea was from a project I had to do in school where we had to determine what people looked for in an ideal mate. So share your opinions.

Basically I have entered the world of work and guess what? It's more boring than I expected (no shizzle Sherlock [before all you Gangstaz rage at me, I'm well aware what Shizzle actually means but I don't play by your rules, Muthaflicker!] ). I have found myself spending alot of time on the net when ever the other people in my office leave. However, I only have 3 sites that are half decent (Lionhead not included, obv). They are as follows;

Obviously the point in this thread is to find what you look at when you are bored at work or school. They have to be browser based and work friendly (i.e no p0rn). You probably get the picture from th aforementioned sites.

devs. Please don't close this right away just because its advertising rival sites. I know your not that mean. Theres only so long one man can spend a day lurking in the Lionhead forums.

Surviving Disaster- Pandemic

This episode covers what to do in case of

-a nerve agent attack on a subway
-most of the episode is of a near apocalyptic viral outbreak
(something zombie survivalist should already know the basics of)

What does everyone think? The government here in the U.S. has already stated that a chemical or biological attack has a high probility of happening within the next four years. I already carry a gas mask in my car and am applying for a concealed weapon permit.

I wish all of you to remain safe and these thoughts to remain in the realm of "just in case".

Windows 7

Sooo...

For those that way inclined, the Windows 7 - basically the next mainstream windows after Vista - release candidate 1 went on public offering today. You can download it HERE

I've been using the beta, and it was already very - stable, and reliable, games worked on it etc, and I've no immediate reason to believe Windows 7 RC1 will be any different. Now, obviously it's not the final version, but it'll be very close. And, quite wonderfully, RC1 will apparently run without issue until March next year.

Anyway. I'm happily recommending this to anyone at home thinking about upgrading to vista - even with the attendant problems you may find with RC operating systems, it's less hassle. Try this first for a year, then but the full version when it comes out - skip vista altogether. Huzzah!

Still, try at your own risk and all that. If it's the start of a bizarre chain of events, where you end up handcuffed to a wallpapering table with an elderly gentleman doing things with root vegetables to your bottomly areas, I'm not responsible.

But even with that risk in mind, it's still better than Vista.

EDIT - it's just gone up btw - expect the servers to be flooded with downloaders for the next few days. Slow etc.

Doctor Who and The Eleventh Doctor

So I love Doctor Who, I never got BBC so when it started showing on Sci Fi back in 05 that was really the only time I got to see it. Needless to say I got hooked immediately, and I've bought all the seasons and specials since 05.

I've also tried to find the older shows, and have miraculously found some. I can't afford to spend 60 dollars for the dvds that only have 2 or 3 episodes on them from the old series, so I make due with what i can find online.

Basically I'm just wondering if any of you like the show, and who your favorite Doctor is. I know David Tennant is leaving after this year and they are bringing in Mark Smith. I've never seen him in anything, have any of you? They seem pretty confident in his abilities but he seems very young for the role. If he can pull off being the Doctor at 26 I'll be very impressed, but I gotta admit I'll miss David. So what do you think of the show?

Also, what do you think of the spin offs like Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood. I've bought all the Torchwood Dvds, and was hoping they would focus more on Capt Jack, but I still like it very much.

Sorry to anyone that knows the game, for those that don't this is the premise of the game;

Once you know the game you are playing the game, the idea of the game is to forget the game, if you remember the game you have lost the game and must say you've lost the game outloud...

This "game" is one that has now been explained to me about 20 times in 20 different parts of the UK, so I am intreagued if it is peculiar to the UK or if it is more of a global thing ...

so who here knows the game? (those that do have just lost so now must post that they've lost! )

You're doing just fine. Scrappin' the other wheels on the track, beating the baddies, rackin' up achievements and basking in the feel- game drag, but then it gets tough. Whatever it is, you can't seem to get past it, or achieve it. You resist the urge to smash the TV/computer or toss your controller across the room because you're so ticked at this game all of a sudden.

The question is, what internet site is your go-to for the game help? Who do you call when the game starts beating you?

I'll start. First, I go to 1up.com's superguide for the game in question, and if they have it, it helps, no question. If they don't have it, I punch in google, and most likely get to IGN first.

I come from this area and I was embarrassed to say I know almost ever one show on that video including the two young ones. I've lived up in this area all my life and well it's a bit of a dump it may surprise you to know I've never been arrested although both my brothers have (GBH), well you even get to see my old street well its a field and if you look my little brother is show walking with a lad in a brown coat lol and white hat. Ironically I have never been mugged and only once have we had some one attempt to steal some thing from us (A lawnmower from the shed) but they got caught by my mum and my big uncle lettuce "Had words with them".

Any way the reason I'm posting other then spur of the moment cause by heavy insomnia is that the forums have been slow for the last few days and I would like to know what your communities are like, are they crime ridden like Worsbrough Common or are they a nice peaceful place.

I'm thinking about buying an XBOX 360 or a PS3. I have a Wii and my kids like it, but I'm ready for something with more umph!

Do the latest models of the 360 still have issues (red ring, etc.)?

For those of you that have both an XBOX 360 and a PS3 -- compare the two and explain your likes and dislikes.

If you just have one of the systems you can chime in too, but I figure that the people with both will be pretty objective.
