Wow, after 4 years it happens. But as optimistic as I am this won't be the end of The Movies. New sites will spring up.. anyone got a terrabyte of bandwidth to spare?

i saw it today but it is so sad so many so many memories but i thought they were going to release one more expansion but i was wrong and i couldnt release ripper 3 but that doesnt matter now ..... the main thing is that we are not gonna miss the movies game cause the forum is ok i mean as i heard they are gonna rebuild the site next year with a new game but is this is real?or are they laughing at us

Guys, I know we all feel like we've lost a lot. But communities come and go, and they move and rebound. You can't take it this seriously. I've been a member for 3 years now, I got sad when I read over my old reviews. It is emotional. But lengthy rants aren't going to help anyone - especially not you.

You guys should be giving refunds to every person who still plays this game, because ONE OF THE FEATURES THAT WE PAYED FOR IS FOR ONLINE. You can't just come and take that away from us? You should be giving us refunds or doing something that we all benefit from. I know theres TMU, but you know what they say, theres no place like home, and you guys are about to take our home away.

For who ever is still reading this, i support you ShyShy, 100% I always have on all your films as much as you have, but I don't even ask for a refund that's not what I want, what I want is "The Movies" family back together. It's not about the money to the community it's about the family, friends, love, laughter, care and memories, I've been here since the beginning, i've made it so I got to interact with many studios learn from them, as I'm sure a couple have learned from me, there was one studio who told me "your films inspired me to get the game and make my own films" that was , it was showing how people care for eachother here, take advice and listen. You took that away Lionhead and it wasn't only because you stopped making money but because you cared about your big game "FABLE 2", that's what it comes down to, you don't have to agree or admit it but we both know its the truth, and once that game dies so will its community. I do thank you for the game and the memories you've brought but I DO NOT agree with the choice. You just didn't give the place a fair chance, no advertisement done on tv after a couple of weeks of it's release, then same for the expansion pack, "FABLE 2" there's commercials all over the place. Why? because it's a bigger game.

I Do Not Support Lionhead As A Game Studio anymore. I still support the community of "The Movies" no matter the choice made, and I am thankful for the people who help make "The Movies" what it is from the little movie studios, to any person who placed sometime into the game whether its making a film or creating the game itself.

But Lionhead I will not play a game you have anything to do with again.

The Movies was a movie simulator game that had an amazing ability for movie creation. Thanks for the game Lionhead and thanks for Stunts and Effects. Many may have gotten an introduction into machinima and productions from this program. The community grew and took a life of its own.

My favorite Lionhead memory is probably the Chrysler competition - how being able to create a movie on a pc game gave one the ability to travel to Hollywood and win a car.

Thanks to the Guerilla competiton which was lots of fun.

I am thankful for the modders and hope to see their works continue as our projects will.

Big Kudos to two of the mainstays of the TMO community - Ken and Roger, the show(s) continue as does a venue for our movies.

Thanks to Woody and Sam who were helpful in getting the GAGA winning movies their Hot Pick status. (GAGA entries will begin in January by the way....)

The movies fostered and harnessed the creativity of its community members, and there are probably many more who have created works that never visited the forums. We have just come to a turn in the road, but the journey is not ending....

Sniff. Sniff. Sniff.

I've lost a lot of things in these recent months, it is sad to know that TMO is one of them. As a freshman in high school, now a Senior ready to graduate, I remember TMO as something I grew up with (not that I'm done growing up, but you get the point).

To my friends, I suggest we leave nothing behind. Our community will move on, to new heights, somewhere else. It has been said many times, but I will add a "Thank You" to the list. Not just to my friends, but to Lionhead. To the community.

This game taught me to love writing, and here I've made great friends who I'll never forget and constntly Skype.

I'm sorry I've been away, cicumstances in my life have been very difficult for me. I'm as back as I'm going to be - and I hope there is a community of gamers to come home to. I love this place (that was not in past tense).

It's so sad TMO will no longer be online.
