I've updated my drivers, downloaded the patch, and still can't seem to solve this problem. I can't seem to find the resolve to my questions anywhere else online so last resort I've ended up here...

I go through the tutorial of the game, and it works up until I need to put a "production office" down, then suddenly the screen is black. THE MENUS are there, and I can select things, I can even exit the game and restart and it'll be normal but I can't go back to the same game and I can't proceed past the tutorial because it just blacks out whenever the production office gets put down.

I'm running vista but I was told it shouldn't be an issue. Just wondering if there's some kind of fix for this that I'm missing. The "support" pages I tried to get to from the game are non-existant now...sad.

I've been having this problem with my Black and White recently, I have the game patched, but for some reason it won't let me run the football addon installer with giving me the error "Sorry, Black and White does not appear to be installed on your system" I get the same error if I try to uninstall the patch.

I'm running XP Pro SP3 and a legitimate, original copy for B&W with legitimate serial, so I can't understand what's going on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Fable II "Love Hurts" quest bugged cant continue sidequest

I was playing the game thru and started the side quest "Love Hurts" and it got stuck after i acheived the head of Lady Grey, i returned to the gravekeeper like the quest shows and guided me to and he stood in a tiny circle i couldn't stand in and wouldn't let me talk to him to turn it in. I finished the game went back and it let me somehow start from the beginning, but with all tasks completed to turning in the head but showed for me to go back and get the lower part, i went back and it wasn't there. Can anyone help me? I dont want to have to start over.

Fable 2 GOTY "Can't load save game ."

About a year or so ago I began to play Fable 2 using the original copy of the disc. I made alot of progress in the game. I beat the main storyline and all that and then put the game away. Then a few months ago a friend of mine on XBox Live messaged me to play Fable 2 game with him again, but to play with him I had to download the free DLC online. A few days ago I purchased Fable 2 GOTY edition for the DLC which I hadn't really played yet, but when I start the game the GOTY game tells me "CANNOT LOAD SAVE GAME. THIS SAVE GAME WAS CREATED WITH A MORE UP-TO-DATE VERSION OF THE GAME." I thought my gamesave might be corrupt so I put the original (non-GOTY) Fable 2 disc into my system to test the gamesave out, but it works fine. I'm not really sure what's wrong. I should also mention that between the time I played the original (non-GOTY) Fable 2 disc and the time I tried to play Fable 2 GOTY edition that I got a new X-Box 360. My original 360 got the RROD. How do I get the GOTY game to load the orignal game save?

Also, I went into the XBox 360 system memory under Fable 2 and deleted the DLC. I thought the DLC I got from marketplace might be tied to my original 360 console. I thought the license might be interfereing with my ability to load the gamesave, but deleting Fable 2's marketplace content hasn't worked either. The gamesave still won't load with the GOTY disc. I should also mention that I don't have an internet connection at my current location (colllege dorm) so I can't login to XBox Live. What can I do?

I have played Fable 2 had have been off for a long time. When I rented it from the store it did not work and when I rented it from game fly it did not work and I assure you that the one I got from gamefly was spotless, not a single scratch on it but it still didnt work. I would start the disc and it would say disc unreadable. How did this happen? Is it because I havnt played in a while or because the update changed it. I also dowloaded both of the free versions of the add ons and tried and failed and i also tried after i deleted them. I also tried clearing the system cache. I also used two different xboxs and it didnt work. Please help

My Kid Won't Budge!

Ok so it goes like this. I came back from the spire and now my kid won't move. I tried setting another home as marital home(even in different area), i tried follow expression, tried restarting game and even tried to get her to run in fear. I also tried downloading game onto hard drive and played it off of it and no go. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!

fable 2 freezing issues

I like Fable 2 its an amazing game but I have to admit it has way too many glitches and I think that the creators should start fixing these problems, I added this topic so ANY players who wish to report Fable 2 glitches please feel free to do so here. Before I list some of which I know i'd like to say that this is my first post and I got so fed up with the glitches that I had to do something about it... Anyway heres Glitches that I encountered:

Castle Fairfax- No matter which woman I marry if I make Castle Fairfax my martial home my wife disappears.

Bounty Hunter- I was sent to kill off hobbes in Bowerstone Market and when I arrive their they are no where to be found, But the Criminals Remaining bar is still at the bottom of my screen

Bard In Bowerstone- I can purchase a song from the bard in bowerstone but I cant see him.

Lady Grey- I married Lady Grey on my earlier Fable character and made Fairfax Castle our martial home, afterwards she couldnt be found, some players told me thgat she gets stuck in a guard post and cant come out.

Jumping Off Fairfax Castle- I can actually jump off of fairfax castle when I make the highest amount of people follow me to the castle view spot near Luciens old study room.

Dog Turns Plain- My dog is Gold like a labrador but in some cases when im traveling he just turns back into his old form that he is at the beginning of the game.

NOTE: I have the Xbox 360 Version

I am one of those people who preordered the game and did not recieve the code. by the time i'd learnt that microsoft was giving away codes free it was too late because the first code they sent me didn't work. can anybody tell me how to email Lionhead about this as the email on their website says nothing game related and the back of the manual is useless as it's the standard microsoft support line. plz help!!!

Fable 2: Glitch/Bug ... Wife disapeared, cannot complete game (spoilers)

Ok so... i got married early on in the game to some random woman as i was just messing about seeing the different features of the game and we had a kid. Then i went and did some quests, and the one where you become that ghosts vengeance and are supposed to break alex's heart or marry her, and my wife and kid who i had already married were living in bowerstone.. and i chose marry as i had two houses and wanted the bigamist achievement aswell lol.. but as soon as that happened one of the townsfolk said "your wife isn't looking too happy these days" and since that i can't find her ANYWHERE. now i thought it would sort itself out and she'd be there in the middle of bowerstone market trying to divorce me or something but she didn't so i went on the spire quest and came back and she was still missing? no trail or anything to lead me to her and it said she was in bowerstone market (which she isn't). So i carry on, kill lucien and i chose the family option as i wanted my dog back and i thought that alex and the other broad would be back and waiting. But to compeltely finish that quest you have to go speak to your family after, and i did speak to alex... but that didn't complete it so i went to bowerstone and my other wife is STILL not there arghhh!! i've tried sleeping for like weeks in the house and shes not appeared, i tried looking in bloodstone cause someone said that happened to them and they found their wife there but no luck.

Anyone had a similar issue and knows what to do? (i have looked all over bowerstone.. fairfax old town cemetry etc but no luck)

Screen crash!

I was finished with the T.O.B.Y quest and when I walked out the door of his house, my screen froze. I turn the Xbox 360 off and now everytime I try loading my save I'm stuck in loading mode! I even tried starting a new game and then the same thing happened after 10 sec, the screen froze! Now I can't do anything....

Please help me... I really love this game

Hello and welcome to the official ‘Lionhead Support’ topic for ‘Fable: The Lost Chapters’. This is the place to come if you require any ‘Support’ for ‘Fable: The Lost Chapters’. Detailed below are all of the problems that we have been made aware of and ways of working around them.

Before continuing with this topic, please make sure that your PC is up-to-date and has the following: -
- Meets ‘Fable: The Lost Chapters’ minimum PC specification requirements: - Operating System – Microsoft Windows XP. Processor – 1.4 GHz Pentium 4 equivalent or higher. RAM – 256 Megabytes. Hard Disk Space – 3 Gigabytes. Optical Drive – 32x CD-Rom drive or faster. Graphics Card – 64 Megabyte, Pixel Shaders 1.1 compatible graphics card.
- The latest Nvidia drivers if your PC has an Nvidia graphics card, Nvidia.com.
- The latest ATI drivers if your PC has an ATI graphics card, ATI.com.
- Make sure that you have the latest Direct X installed, http://www.microsoft.com/directx.
- Double check that your graphics card is officially supported by Fable, http://www.microsoft.com/games/fable/support.aspx.
- Lastly, make sure that every other driver on your PC is up to date, as well as your Bios. Running things like ‘Disk Defragmenter’ and ‘Scan Disk’, as well as updating and running virus/spyware scans would also help. The issues below have been listed in the order of importance, and the order in which seems to be the worst, and most predominant issues.

Each issue is numbered, and the table of contents is as follows: -

6. Hero Save/World Save explanation
7. Resolution Resetting Issues

1. Sound Card Problems Sound cards appear to be the cause of 90% of the problems encountered with ‘Fable: TLC’. There are several ways of fixing this problem. These fixes are as follows: - - Creative Cards - Go to CreativeLabs.com and use their ‘Auto Update’ feature. This will install the latest Creative sound card drivers on your system. - OpenAL32 – Download and install OpenAL32. ‘Google’ for it. - Sound Acceleration – If none of the above has any effect, try turning down your sound acceleration. To do this: - - Open the ‘Start’ menu. - Click on ‘Run’. - Type ‘DxDiag’. - Select the ‘Sound’ tab. - Turn the ‘Hardware Sound Acceleration Level’ slider down until you get a positive result.

2. Disappearing Subtitled Text Many Nvidia graphics cards appear to suffer from a disappearing/flickering text issue. Positive results have been found by turning V-Sync On/Off. If no luck is found with this, and the disappearing text is found to be too much of an annoyance to continue playing, the subtitles can be turned off via the ‘Gameplay Options’ menu.

3. Windows XP Themes Certain Windows XP themes can cause Fable to either run incorrectly or not at all. The easiest way to fix this is to change the theme back to the default (“Windows XP”) theme. To do this: - - On the desktop, Right-Click and open ‘Properties’. - Select the ‘Themes’ tab. - On this page, click on the arrow of the ‘Theme’ drop-down box. - Select ‘Windows XP’. - Click on ‘Apply’, followed by ‘OK’. The theme will now be changed. If changing the theme doesn’t help, try setting the Windows XP compatibility to ‘Windows 2000’. To do this: - - Right-Click on the ‘Fable: The Lost Chapters’ game shortcut and select ‘Properties’. - Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab. - Click on the ‘Run this program…’ tab, and select ‘Windows 2000’ from the drop down box. - Tick the ‘Disable Visual Themes’ box and click ‘Apply’.

4. Screen Refresh Rates If you usually play games on a very high refresh rate, but are having problems with Fable: TLC, it could be down to this high refresh rate. If the game doesn’t run, or has issues, try setting your monitors refresh rate to 60. If doing this makes the game run, the refresh rate can always be turned back up in-game using the ‘Video Options’ menu.

5. AutoSave Corruption Some people have encountered problems with their AutoSaves. It seems as though repeated saving and loading with some save games can cause it to become corrupted. There is no simple fix for this, other than don’t keep saving and loading to try and exploit the game, and frequently use ‘Manual Saves’.

6. Hero Save/World Save Explanation There seems to be some slight confusion as to what the exact difference is between ‘Hero Saves’ and ‘World Saves’. If you are one of these confused people, hopefully the following will help clear this up: - Hero Saves – A ‘Hero Save’ is made during a quest. This will save your Heroes current stats, experience, items etc, but will not save your location in that quest. As such, upon loading a ‘Hero Save’, the Hero will be loaded at the beginning of the quest that the save was made in, but with all of the items that they have attained up until that save was made (Example – If a ‘Hero Save’ is made during ‘Guild Training’, if the save is then loaded, the Hero will be loaded at the beginning of the quest, in ‘Lookout Point’). World Saves – A ‘World Save’ can be made at any time outside of a quest. This save will save everything, including the Heroes location. Upon loading, the Hero will be exactly as he was when the save was made, and will be loaded at the entrance of the region that he was in when the save was made.

7. Resolution Resetting Issues If the video options are changed on the ‘Front-End’, but these video options exceed what your PC can handle, then upon loading the game all settings will have returned to default. The most common cause of this is with people cranking the ‘Shadows’ slider to max. ‘Fable: The Lost Chapters’ only supports the next-generation ‘Pixel Shaders 3.0’ when the ‘Shadows’ slider is set to max. Currently, only the very latest Nvidia cards (‘6800 GT’, and ‘7800’) support this feature. The next ATI cards will support this, but the current X800 series does not. This is not an issue with the game, but an issue with ATI graphics cards. If you have an ATI card, you will not be able to set the ‘Shadows’ slider to max until the next generation R500 series hits the shelves.

Fable 2 (Stuck in scene bug)

I was walking to start the T.O.B.Y quest line in Bloodstone, and happened to stumble past the Assassins guild quest. As I walked past it, it entered the "scene mode", where you are unable to draw your weapon/cast spells/run at full speed. As my luck would have it, the quest expired as I was walking past, and because of this I've been locked in this "scene mode" and can't actually do, well... anything past performing different emotions and sleeping. Enemies don't even attack me when I encounter them, and I also decided (which in hindsight was rather silly) to save and quit the game hoping this would fix the problem. It didn't. So I've essentially lost my entire game.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Right. Im now on my SECOND copy of fable 2, this time, its the game of the year edition. The FIRST time I put it in, the FIRST time its ever been in an x360 console, it says its a DVD. Tried it FOUR more times, and it worked, then crashed during the lionhead logo display. I know its crashed cause the xbox menu wont open. So really... if by some f****ng mirical it acctually works, it crashes after 5 minutes. Useful. I would willingly pay 1000 microsoft points (If its to much trouble to make free) To make a patch that acctually makes the game playable. And im not the only one. Either you fix fable 2, or fable 3 had better f****ng work!!!!!!!

Oh yeah. Skate, Skate 2, Fable 1, GTA IV, Assassins creed (The list is endless) all work without a hitch on my xbox. ITS THE DAMN DISC.

Cant play downloaded content offline

Here is the proplem i dont have broadband so i take my hard drive to a friends and download content using my hard drive on his console everything else i have downloaded works fine offline but i downloaded the free trial of knothole and see the future as i did not have enough microsoft points 2 months later i bought the expantions but fable 2 will not reconize the full version offline only online anyone know how to fix this

Can't enter the Coliseum when you attempt to enter via the quests pane

hi,

i decided to play fable II again today... all was going , until i attempted to do the Coliseum quest. i press the 'a' button to 'travel' to the location, however, nothing happens . i then attempted to go to another location, but that seemed to be working fine; no problems there. this therefore means that the travel feature is fine, etc. it just seems to be the Coliseum travel function that is not working. the DLC, i assume is still working fine, as Murgo is still there, etc.

upon loading the game, i downloaded a new patch, perhaps this is the problem, however, for some reason, i highly doubt it; patches are meant to fix problems... not create them... right .

i even tried to download the DLC's again. that didn't do a thing!

any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Fable 2 Chesty Glitch

So, I went to sleep in the tower in Brightwood and awoke in Chesty's dream world. I defeated the beetles and the proceeded across the map to defeat the hobbes. After killing the hobbes, my glowing trail went to a small hill by a fallen tree across from chesty. When I approach chesty, the "A" icon appears but It seems to be inactive. I can't proceed any further for some reason.
From what I've read, there is apparently a hobbe underground. Somehow the game glitches and he falls through the ground and I can't get to him with any weapon or any magic. I've also read that there is no fix and that I have to start a new character, this game is forever lost but I find that hard to believe.
Surley there is some patch in the works or some work-around that can fix this issue. If anybody knows a solution, please share.

My game glitched with my spouse after I came back from the Spire. I went to the Demon door home and he was no where to be found. One thing I remember doing was I gave him a ring for a gift...then the game said I needed a marital home...we were already married. Thinking nothing of it I left to the Spire, came back and no one was home. I am wondering if by giving your spouse a ring for a gift after marriage if that triggers a glitch....

Fable TLC product key issues

Im attempting to upload Fable The Lost Chapters, and am prompted to enter the product key. My product key is located on the inside of my cd case, below the disks. I have entered the Key numerous times, but it still says the key is invalid.

What do i do?

yeah I was wondering why no one caught the glitch that would not let you pass a certian lvl unless you cheated? Did anybody make measures to make sure this would not happen again, if so what measures did it take to prevent this from happening?
