Well,
I kind of already labelled out this idea in another forum (
http://community.lionhead.com/forums/3359077/ShowThread.aspx#3359077 ) but here
is an idea I would like to see develop for downloadable content:

Once you can become King/Queen you should begin a quest to actually build a
kingdom. After all, in no part of the Fable mythos have we had a true kingdom
(barring the Old Kingdom) of course. So let’s have some fun with this.

THE STORY
Sparrow, having defeated Lord Lucien, having restored order (either or
) to Knothole Island and having witnessed the prophecy in "See the
Future" decides, after being crowned King/Queen, that they would indeed
like to forge a kingdom. After all, the only place that has truly declared them
ruler (despite ownership of everything everywhere) is Bowerstone. Thus begins a
quest to conquer the known world. Each land can either be developed or
conquered, perhaps a mix of both, and depending on moral choices, the lands
begin to develop in ways that reflect their ruler.

THE LANDS
Bowerstone (Including Market, Old Town, Bower Lake and Cemetery)
At Castle Fairfax Sparrow receives a message from the people of Albion by a
messenger, informing them that they want to be ruled by him/her. Sparrow
agrees, and then is approached by both leader of the town guards and the
remnants of the Spire Guards. Both want to serve him, but don't have the
funding to buy decent equipment to enforce his rule. Sparrow must then decide
which group to support, and in doing so choose the basics of his army. After
this he is then approached by his new major-domo (either the Leader of the
Guard, or someone resembling the Commandant) and told that other regions would
work well under his law.
Effects of Choosing the Town Guards
* All town guards in Bowerstone now resemble better equipped versions of the
ones found throughout the previous parts of the game.
* All rent from Bowerstone is slightly increased.
* Bonus to and Purity.
* All fines in Bowerstone cut in half.
* Unlocks all other regions barring Wraithmarsh/Oakvale for conquering,
development.
* Town Guards will now follow you
* Bandit activity decreases, only to be replaced with Spire Guards.
Effects of Choosing the Spire Guards
* All town guards in Bowerstone now resemble better equipped versions of the
Spire Guards.
* All rent from Bowerstone is slightly increased.
* Bonus to and Corruption.
* All fines in Bowerstone cut in half.
* Unlocks all other regions barring Wraithmarsh/Oakvale for conquering,
development.
* Spire Guards will now follow you
* Spire Guards will no longer attack you, but more bandits found in Albion.

Rookridge (Including Rookridge Inn and Temple of Shadows)>>

“Oakfield
Massacre” Rookridge>>

Your
major-domo tells you that he has received message from the Temple of Shadows
asking for you to visit them, however, he has also received word from the owner
of a merchant who wishes to speak to you in the Rookridge Inn. Travelling to
the Temple of Shadows, Grimm informs you that many of the mines in Rookridge
are full of precious minerals and stones. However, one of the mines is guarded
by an unnamed beast (let's make it some sort of new Undead/Shadow monster) that
is outside his control. Inside one of the former closed mines is a gem which
controls the beast (each time you kill it, it respawns on your next visit). He
wishes you to bring it to him, so that the Temple of Shadows can have the
funding for further expansions in the area while controlling the monster.
However, the merchant, being of a nature, wishes you to destroy the stone
and thus the beast so men can come and visit the area and mine the area.>>

Effects of Choosing the Temple of
Shadows>>

*
The Temple of Shadows (literally, the actual cathedral) is rebuilt as the Grand
Shadow Temple, raking in double its rent and now with an underground complex full
of shops and guards. (If you owned the Temple of Shadows, you will own the
Grand Shadow Temple).>>

*
Grimm now has taken on a demonic form and sits upon a throne.>>

*
Rookridge Inn makes less rent.>>

*
Increased Shadow Loyalty points (will give you the unique weapon if not already
achieved).>>

*
Increased points.>>

*
All mines open with miners around, these miners are slaves.>>

*
Shadow Priests can be found in areas under your control.>>

*
Guards now patrol the area.>>

*
More “Slaving” missions.>>

Effects of Choosing the Merchant>>

* The
Rookridge Inn has been rebuilt as the Rookridge Hotel, raking in double its
rent. Several places along Rookridge now have been rebuilt with new business.
More guards. (If you owned the Rookridge Inn, you will own the Rookridge
Hotel.)>>

* The
Temple of Shadows remains the same, but earns less rent.>>

*
Merchant now works at the Rookridge Hotel, as manager.>>

* Monetary
payout.>>

*
Increased Purity points.>>

*
All mines open with miners around, these miners are paid workers.>>

* More
travelling merchants.>>

*
Guards now patrol the area.>>

*
More “Liberate Slaves” missions.>>

> >

“Defender
of the Light” Rookridge>>

Your
major-domo tells you that he has received message from a Temple of Light priest
asking for you to visit him at the remains of the Temple of Shadows, however,
he has also received word from the owner of a shady character who wishes to
speak to you in the Rookridge Inn. Travelling to the Temple of Shadows, the
priest informs you that many of the mines in Rookridge are full of precious
minerals and stones. However, one of the mines is guarded by an unnamed beast (possibly
Grimm reborn). Inside one of the former closed mines is a gem which acts as a
link between this world and the next for the beast (each time you kill it, it
respawns on your next visit). He wishes you to destroy the gem, allowing the
Temple of Light to have access to the mines for their charity works. However,
the shady character, being a slaver, wishes you to bring the gem to him, so
that he can blackmail the beast into letting the area be mined.>>

Effects of Choosing the Temple of Light>>

*
The Temple of Shadows (literally, the actual cathedral) is rebuilt as a new Shelter
of Light, raking in basic rent and now with an underground complex that houses
the poor and destitute. (You can now buy the Shelter of Light, which has low
income.)>>

*
Some of the buildings in Rookridge have been rebuilt into shops.>>

*
Increased Purity points.>>

*
Rookridge Inn increases its rent slightly.>>

*
The priest is now the Abbot of the Shelter of Light.>>

*
All mines open with miners around, these miners are paid workers.>>

* Monks
of Light can be found in areas under your control.>>

*
Guards now patrol the area.>>

*
More “Liberate Slaves” missions.>>

Bloodstone
* Your major-domo informs you a ghost has been seen around Bloodstone, and the
people there are helpless to do anything about it, but it has been terrifying
them, making them not pay taxes or rent. Upon Sparrow’s arrival to Bloodstone,
they notice many Hollow Men are attacking the town. Once all the Hollow Men are
destroyed a thug informs you that the ghost has been seen around Bloodstone
Manor. Approaching the manor, more undead appear, and Sparrow is saved by a
young pirate who fights with a rifle and is very fast with her sword. They
battle down the Rear Passage until they find the source of the undead, an
female shadow, the woman Reaver sacrificed Oakvale for, who reveals the pirate
girl is the daughter of Reaver and a whore. The shadow then tries to make a
bargain with Sparrow, saying let her possess Reaver’s daughter and she will
serve him, making Bloodstone part of the kingdom. Sparrow must then choose (and
then attack the one he doesn’t choose with).>>

Effects of Choosing the Pirate Girl>>

*
Bloodstone takes on a more civilised aspect, akin to the change of Bowerstone
Old Town if Sparrow was a child.>>

*
People in Bloodstone love the player.>>

*
Bloodstone Manor is turned into “Bloodstone Palace”, and is something out of a
fairy-tail, where the Pirate Girl now lives with double rent.>>

*
Pirate Girl can be hired as a henchman.>>

*
Pirate Girl looks like a very fashionable and pleasant rogue, a defender of the
people.>>

*
Guards now patrol Bloodstone.>>

Effects of Choosing the Shadow Girl>>

*
Bloodstone takes on a more horror aspect, with less residents, and ghosts (who
you cannot interact with at all) patrolling the town.>>

*
People in Bloodstone fear the player.>>

*
Bloodstone Manor is turned into “Bloodstone Abattoir”, and is something out of
a nightmare, where the Shadow Girl now lives with double rent.>>

* Shadow
Girl can be hired as a henchman.>>

*
Shadow Girl looks like the Pirate Girl did, except now much darker in aspect, a
nightmare woman with glowing eyes.>>

*
Guards now patrol Bloodstone.>>

Wraithmarsh
* This
can only be accomplished once all previous lands are conquered.>>

After the world has been conquered, Theresa asks
Sparrow to visit her once more, and Sparrow can go to the major-domo to travel
there. There, Theresa informs Sparrow that her magical sight, even with the
Spire’s aid, can no longer see into Wraithmarsh. Sparrow then travels to
Wraithmarsh, where a powerful ghost has arisen, that of Lucien, but half of his
face is covered by a burnt and ruined mask (that of Jack of Blades, he’s
summoning the power of the mask, but is dead so is safe from becoming a new
Jack of Blades) and Sparrow is quickly defeated, pulled away by a mysterious
undead... a desiccated husk of a man, Scythe. Scythe then informs Sparrow that
to defeat Lucien this time he’ll need the help of three powerful Heroes
(obviously the ones recruited while making the kingdom). The three of them
attack Lucien once more, encountering Minions and Summoners (yes, from Fable and TLC). It is essentially a hack and slash battle until Lucien is
defeated, but as Lucien’s will fades, he begins to laugh in the voice of Jack
of Blades, only to have Scythe appear and unleash a powerful spell that utterly
destroys the spectre (a nice proper cut scene would be nice here).>>

Effects
of Defeating Lucien of Blades>>

* Receive new item: Jack of Blades’ Outfit.>>

* Receive new item: Jack’s Mask Replica>>

* Receive new item: Lucien’s Hairstyle.>>

* Receive new item: Lucien’s Outfit.>>

> >

NEW
AREA: OAKVALE>>

The quest to
rebuild Oakvale can only be accessed after Lucien of Blades is defeated. It has
to do with rebuilding Oakvale once more.>>

Part
1: Funding the Expedition>>

Sparrow, finally having defeated Lucien of Blades,
decides to rest once more in their house, before their major-domo decides to
contact them about a possible idea. Rebuild the lost town of Oakvale!
Unfortunately, funding is low thanks to rebuilding the world in your image. So
you need some funding, but not just a one-off payment, you need some funding from
the other cities while construction is continuing. Going to each of the three
heroes you found while building a kingdom they promise to send gold your way.
Each of the three heroes is supporting a family now of their own.>>

Effects
of Funding>>

* Rent everywhere is decreased by a quarter until
Oakvale is rebuilt.>>

*Wraithmarsh suffers a name change, becoming Oakvale.>>

* Oakvale is
an area resembling Wraithmarsh at this time, except that the Drowned Farm has
been drained and no undead can be found in that small area, though the undead
are still rampant in the outer areas. Drowned Farm is now Town Centre at this
point it’s full of gypsies, soldiers, priests of the temple you favour and
pioneering townsfolk. No shops.>>

> >

Part
2: Removing the Undead>>

You are contacted via your Guild Seal by none other
than Scythe, who seems bemused that you are rebuilding the city of Oakvale.
However upon your arrival to converse with him face to face, he has disappeared
once more, and the Town Centre is under attack by a few undead. >>

> >

Temple of Shadows Is Your Temple>>

Upon arrival, the town mayor suggests going into the
Shadow Court and challenging them for control of Oakvale. Of course, a Shadow
Priest suggests making a deal with the Shadow Court, by bringing the Shadow
Court several women sacrifices from within Oakvale.>>

Effects
of Choosing Temple>>

* The Town Centre is rebuilt, but Oakvale will
always have a dark aspect.>>

* Undead remain only in outskirts.>>

* Shadow Court is now filled with Shadow Priests.>>

* Shadows remain in Shadow Court and will attack
you.>>

Effects
of Choosing Mayor>>

* The Town Centre is rebuilt, but Oakvale will
always have a neutral aspect.>>

* Hobbes now reside in Shadow Court and will attack
you.>>

> >

Upon arrival, the town mayor suggests that if you
appease the Shadow Court with female sacrifices they might stop attacking. Of
course, a Monk suggests going in and challenging the Shadow Court in battle.>>

Effects
of Choosing Temple>>

* The Town Centre is rebuilt, but Oakvale will
always have a lighter aspect.>>

* The Town Centre is rebuilt with some stalls, but

3: This Is My City>>

The mayor of Oakvale contacts you once more,
informing you that some pirates have constantly attacked the city, and he needs
some help. Upon your arrival you attack some pirates and the mayor informs you
of a brutish pirate has holed himself up near the road to Bloodstone, stopping
supplies. It’s up to the hero to find him and stop him. The hero battles their
way past pirates and eventually the pirate leader gives him an offer. Make the
pirate the new mayor by killing the old one and gain money, or kill the pirate
and retain the old mayor.>>

Part
4: The Lost Chapter>>

After Oakvale Manor is rebuilt, you get a message
from Scythe telling you to meet him inside the basement, where you both see a
very strange Demon Door (this one is in the shape of the Guildmaster from Fable. This demon door requires you to
have the title of King/Queen to enter, and upon doing so, Scythe tells you he
can not follow. Inside you’re transported to the Oakvale from Fable! Walking around you see the city
as it was before it was first attacked, but can’t find either Theresa or the
Hero. Upon entering the main square, the Bandit Attack begins, and between
fighting bandits you travel to see Maze and Brom battling it out, and
eventually Maze has the upper hand before a young Theresa draws him off with a

the gold and you are given the chance to do refuse.>>

OTHER NOTES>>

*
As you conquer/develop other areas the guards will reflect your choice you made
in Bowerstone.>>

*
You may have noticed a lot of my suggestions force previous destroyed things
back into life, and I did this to force balance back into Fable 2, as I found that playing the Ghoul ( and Corrupt)
actually punishes the player, and I thought that if we give the game back some
balance it will encourage people to play as much as they play .>>

*
Now three different Heroes can be used as Henchmen. To equalise this, only one
may be allowed to follow at a time.>>

*
Also, major-domo can speak through guild seal.>>

*
Knothole Island is not part of this grand quest to conquer the world. Let’s
just have it that when the first choice in Bowerstone (the one about the
Guards), this is all that applies to Knothole Island. No further bonuses.>>

What Fable 2 Expansions Should Be

I designed this thread for people to offer their THOUGHT OUT and WELL STRUCTURED ideas for Fable 2 downloadble content that we dream of seeing. This may seem like a
repost of previous threads, but unlike mere suggestions that are more
bonus content (eg, extra clothes, dyes, weapons, expressions yada yada)
that are very cool, I dream of a true expansion pack that blantantly
continues the story (Knothole IslandSee the Future were ok, but didn't add a great deal when compared to the likes of Fable: TLC).

This is not a thread about Fable 3, but rather a decent bit of downloadable content that would work for Fable 2.

So post what you dream of and have some feedback on the ideas. and
