I didn't really read about this game, i was told about it by a friend and that led me to buying it and i really enjoyed it, was such a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

However, as the topic actually says, what was it that Fable was meant to be originally? What were the features that Peter had stated would be in the game and that would of made this the be all end all RPG?

Lastly, do you think Fable 2 bought back alot of those features and Fable 2 was what Fable 1 was suppose to be?

Alrighty, i just got fable one, but its downloaded into my 360, and i just wanted to know how to change the hero's clothes?
I have them, but the controls are different from the 360 and it doesn't tell you how to, so, help please??

Okay so turns out even you're skills change you're appearence.... so well I was playing and then I decide hey I have enouth points to gain new Will Power so I go ahead and level up then I suddenely realize OMG my SKIN is GREEN how do I change it?

XBLO Texture glitch?

Whenever playing Fable 1 on Xbox 360, I seem to get Texture glitches after playing the game for a period of time.

My hero's hair sometimes goes crazy and it seems as if he's going bald (lol ) Also his eyes have gone completely Yellow for some strange reason.

Also at Bowerstone, the frame rate kind of jerks, but it doesn't bug me that much...

Is there any way to release some kind of fix for this? I've been wodnering for a while now what is causing this, and I think the Lionhead fourms are the best place to ask.

I was in knothole glade.. i was at the tabtoo shop, at that time i was fully evil.. every1 was screaming and running away from me. After i had my tabtoo from the tabtoo shop, i walk to the weapon shop. I saw the blacksmith there hammering a sword on his anvil. I walk to him, and he scream and ran away. After that i found 2 hammers on the floor next to the anvil. I pick it up and it says "Fry Pan". I went to my inventory and weilded the "Fry Pan that looks like a Big Hammer" that has 10 weapon power. I was holding the hammer that the blacksmith was holding. However, the hammer cannot be unshed, it can be wielded together with a bow, holding a hammer in 1 hand and a bow in another hand. I then went back to talk to the blacksmith, after seeing through his goods. My hammer disapeare. All the above i said is true.. i tried it before but i didn't take any screenshots. Sorry for bad english.

Mines Sneeking In One Of The Houses At Night, Hiding In The Balcony And They Didnt See Me So The Doors Shut And Locked Us In and Then I Just Tortered The Whole Family And For Some Reason They Wouldnt Die And In The End I Got A Total Combat Multiplier Of About 30+ (I Cant Remember, But It Was Real High!) And I Had Massive Horns Spurting Out My Head!

BTW- This Was In BowerStone South And It Was Before I Even Doen The Orchard Farm mission, So I Pretty Much Had Full Before I Had Even Done The 3rd Mission!

My Second Was Probally When Some Little Kid Was Following Me Around Going BOOOO!!! At Me So I Took Him Up Into The Barbers Top Room And Just Kept Smashing Him So Many Times While Hes Like 'No Please Dont Hurt M.....Smack! And 'Im Getting The Guards....Smack!' (The Smacks Were When I Hit Him!)

Legend of the Sandgoose

Well, after playing through the game, upgrading my character to a perfectly holy patron (100% good), obtaining every legendary weapon including the Sword of Aeons and the Treasure: Frying Pan buried in Orchard Farm between the three bales of hay and the front side of the barn (FYI, it has zero damage unless you collect all of the treasure clues which can not be completed if you have not gotten them and have already beaten the game; if you do have it however then it should do 100 damage and have 4 augmentation slots), upgraded every aspect (Strength, Skill, and Will) of my character to the maximum, and beaten all main and side quests, I figured I had beaten the game, but I was wrong. After reading a post about Fable secrets on XboxUsers.com out of the fact that I was bored, I found something that caught my eye; The Sandgoose. You see, I have a 360 and bought Fable once more because there was really no NewGen. games I wanted at the time, and it's just a fun game. So I beat it with ease and took a break from it for a while until I found all the COG tags in G.O.W. And without quests after beating Jack (For newbs, turns out to keep playing the game after you beat it is to just play the credits out until you get to the end of them, so be patient, because it takes 10 to 15 minutes.), it just wasn't fun. So I decided to join the search of the legendary Sandgoose. The Sandgoose is supposively a large black boat with red sails and a picture of some dragon or birdlike creature on it that takes you to a land of otherworldly creatures from the Old Kingdom somewhere in the Northern Wastes. This place is called Dragon cliffs. Many have claimed that the Sandgoose or Dragon Cliff do not exist due to the fact that it was taken out of the game just before publishing. However, there are many rumors of overlooked glitches that have given us strange events and easter eggs related to the Sandgoose. I have noticed these easter eggs and I have reason to believe that I may have found the Sandgoose itself. Down at Prison Path when the supply ships come into dock at places such as Hookcoast and Oakvale, there is the ship I have described sitting at the edge of the dock. If it is the Sandgoose, I need to find a way to board it. However, it may just be the boat that takes the prisoners of Albion to Bargate Prison due to the fact that it is visible from the dock, but it couldn't hurt to go check it out because it's there for a couple of days. I know this topic is old, and you may have heard this before. However, I hope it has been helpful, and if you have any info, please respond, for I don't plan on giving up on this quest of mine like many others have. Peace

Shovel Glitch

I am sure that someone has found this out before I did, but a long time ago when playing Fable 1, I discovered that you could shovel your way past boundaries, and in some cases help skip parts in quests! It may be patched for XBLO version, but I remember it working very well. How you do it-
First, obtain a shovel.

Second, equip the shovel and find the fence of area you would like to try to get through.

Third, once you have found your spot, face your back towards where your digging (look the opposite way of the digging spot).

Fourth, your Hero will slightly be moved back by the shovel animation (just the way the game was made), and because of it, you can shovel no matter the area, if there's a fence or not, most places can begotten around.

Fifth, You probably will not make it to the place you want it one dig, rinse and repeat till you get to where you want to.

Be warned though, this may cause you to get stuck and you would have to teleport yourself somewhere else out of the area.

Hey all,

I downloaded Fable from the XBLM as I wanted to catch up with the plot while waiting for FableII to come out (I had never played the original Fable!).

So I've played through the storyline and got to the final fight with Jack of Blades, I followed him through the various places until I got back to the Guild, then down to the hall of Heroes, sat through a little cutscene and then... it crashed!

The screen went black and my controller stopped responding - I had to reboot the console.

Is this a known bug? Is there anything I can do? I really want to finish the quest and do a bit more mucking about before the UK release of FableII on Friday.

Fable Game Guide for the UK?

I have been trying to find somewhere that sells the original fable game guide, not TLC but the original, without having to spend a ridiculous price. There is one on amazon.co.uk but it's £20 which is ridiculous. I'm a bit annoyed considering it's only $6 on amazon.com.

Any ideas?
