HELP PLEASE!!! how to aim your camera in the free camera mode in expansion pak

How are you able to actually point the camera (either camera 1 or 2) in the direction you want to aim it?????
All i can do is move it around, forward , back , left and right with the arrow buttons. But if its aiming the wrong direction I cant turn it around to face the other way!
I tried using the mouse by right clicking and everything, I cant seem to find a way to do that.

Any help would be great!

Need help with editing resolution

my old monitor recently crashed out and i had the in-game options set to resolution 1600X1200 however my new widescreen monitor does not support that resolution, i have searched the folder but cannot find the file i need to edit to edit the options out of game anyone know where it is?

Hey TMO. I thought I'd let you know that I've been on a break for about three months now...

I tried to leave quietly, I really did.I didn't want to publicly announce my absence, because I've seen people do that in the past who have been mistreated. But here I am.

I've had a lot of people asking me to review movies, do VO's, proofread scripts, finish the second part of WATW, and so much more.

I can't really handle it right now. So I had to let you guys know that I am on a break. I've been dealing with some depression issues and I really haven't been feeling so great at all lately. On top of this, I am busy with school and life. I just haven't had time for TMO.

So if I don't watch your movie or turn down your VO request, please don't take it personally.

I've been getting a lot of support from my fellow TMOers, and I'd especially like to thank Sweatyshoulder, Ironlion, Josephkw, Sisch, Jase180, Anothernewdawn, Active_Studios, Bricksfilms, Lucindamc123, Del, Leora, and the maverick for being there for me. They all made a difference for me.

I might be back to TMO in a few months, or I might never come back. I'll still pop in on the forums from time to time, and I'll still accept a VO role on occassion. But right now, I'm on a break. Thanks for being so to me, my fellow TMOers!

Vista Installation Microsoft Visual Problems

Hi Guys,

So I played The Movies when it first came out, and then lost the disk. My brother recently bought it for me again for my birthday but I can't install it on my new computer. I now have Windows Vista, and I keep getting the following message:

I know most people say they can use the game on Vista, I've tried running as administrator, and I have it set up on compatibility mode. If anyone could PLEASE help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

It Will Add:

Facilities:

1-Custom Prop Designer - Its a facility that let YOU create your props with a easy to use interface, by texturing them and modeling them, to be used as set dressing, props for be used as weapons,pistols,mellee Weapons,Machine Guns, and much more.If he will be a Gun (Rifle, pistol, machine gun, etc) a Projectile for this weapon need to be set, an sound effects for all props need to be set too.

2-Custom Scene Designer - Its a facility that let YOU create your own scenes, animations and others, with an very very easy to use interface. You can also make scenes with multiple extras (or actors) and load props from the game, and props that you created, to make the scene more easyer to do.

3-Custom Set Designer - Its a facility that let YOU create your own sets, with a easy to use Interface, modeling what is going to be on the set, editing the textures, seting the scenes, and much more.

4-FX Production - Its a facility that let YOU put special effects in you movie! They are effects used in The Movies, if you have the Stunts & Effects installed, you can use his effects too! The effects can be simple animated, with keyframes, and to become easyer, you can fly in the scene with the camera, to see results.

5-Custom Costume Designer - Its a facility that let YOU create your costumes and the assessories, like bracelets,rings,etc. It will work in the same way as the Custom Body Paint Designer

6-Custom Body Paint Designer - Its a facility that let YOU Create your own body paint. It needs one person to be employed in this facility to work, while inside this facility, your employee appears to you paint it. Once finished, you can save it in the Body Paint list.

7-Custom Latex Head Designer - Its a facility that let YOU create the latex head to your movies, it needs someone to be employed to work. When inside, the guy who you employed will appear to let the modeling be simple. once you finished modeling, you need to put textures on it. Once you have REALY finished, Save it, it will appear at the Latex Head List.

8-Custom Texture Designer - Its the facility that let YOU create textures to put in sets, props, Latex Heads and much more.

Sci-fi: Hangar 1 - The set that will let your imagination take off! Its similliar to the Scifi corridor 1's textures.
Sci-fi: Hangar 2 - The same thing as the 1st hangar, but it will have similliar texture from scifi corridor 2's
Sci-fi: Hangar 3 - The same thing as the 2nd hangar, but it will have similliar texture from scifi corridor 3's
Sci-fi: Hangar 4 - The same thing as all the hangars, but will have similliar texture from scifi corridor 4's

Rural: Flowerfield - A field full of flowers, great for praticing romance roles.

Tropical: Amazon Rainforrest - Its a reply form the Brasil's Amazon forretst, it will include an waterfall, a lagoon and a big mountain.

War: Graveyard - Its a set that has an church and a graveyard behind her, a lot of soldiers can be triying to capture a church and must take cover at the graveyard while the other soldiers in the church stay holding his fire to hit'em

Props:

WW2 Airplane - A basic plane that has been used in WW2, if you have The Moves Stunts & Effects it can be used as Miniature prop.
WW2 Airborne Transport - Its a transport for airborne used in WW2, if you have The Movies Stunts & Effects, it can be used as a miniature prop and in the Helicopter Rappel scene.
Panzer Tank - A Tank, similliar to a Panzer.
Tiger Tank - Another Tank, similliar to a Tiger.
Ninja Sword - A sword that is used in the new scenes of this Expansion Pack
Laser Sword - A sword that is used in the new Scenes of this Expansion Pack
MG42 Machine Gun - An machine gun emplacement used in WW2.
Parachute - Parachute to land in terrians

Scenes:
I am not going to say all scenes individually, so i will resume.

Scenes for a lot of sets, are scenes of pilots entering in the airplanes, scenes of soldiers jumping from parachutes, landing from parachutes, etc.
Scenes for the Greenscreen set (Stunts & Effects) scenes of planes dogfighting, these scenes are also available in the Scrolling Landscape (Stunts & Effects)
Sword Fighting scenes.

Costumes:

Brasilian Native Costume - Its a costume that brasilian natives use.
Space Assault Uniform - A Space suit that elite space police uses.

I have a silly question, I know you can adject the in-game graphic setting of the game to make it look better and also might be slower, would the change in graphic affect the video output??

Any help would be deeply appriciated. Thank you.

How to Upload your Movies

I know that sometimes people have problems uploading their movies online so I thought about making this Thread to help people out! It is a list of steps to correctly upload any movies you want to put online! (Sorry for no pictures, the files were to big to upload on this) Step 1: In Post Productions click on"export Movie" but before you do so make sure the viewing technology is at its best so click on the briefcase-like symbol 1 time. Step 2: then after clicking on export movie it will ask you to update audio, Say Yes, so then you can have sound effects and music for your online movie! Step 3: Wait until it ends and be sure not to move anything just let it play as if you were just watching it. Step 4:Then on the pop up it asks you were you want to export your movie say "Online" and asks you to name it in the "Output Name" part. Step 5: Then it should say saving movie or something like that. Wait until the entire bar on the top disappears and it returns back to the regular movie editor part Also DO NOT Press "X" Unless you messed up on something! Step 6: Now exit your game and go to the Main Menu part of "The Movies Game" and click on Online. Step 7: Once in the online section you should have a choice of the movies you want to upload. Upload the one you want and wait for it to complete the uploading, Then it should ask you if you want to visit your newly created movie. Say "yes if you want to see it, say "no" if you want to see it later. Hope this Little Guide on Uploading Movies Helps Everyone Out! By, DarkAnubis666 Also if you want a thumbnail all you do is play the movie and highlight the scene, then click on online thumbnail button to the right. But if you do this you will have to re-do the steps from the beginning. DO NOT EXIT OUT OF THE MOVIE HOWEVER. I think everyone is waiting for this new release, and i think Lionhead should start making this game as quick as possible.

Alright... I'm installing my TM&E in my new computer (in case it is necessary, it's a Toshiba Satellite A300 laptop computer). I have already installed the original game, and while installing the expansion pack, after inserting the CD key and installing few of the necessary files, it's stuck in the file set_municipal_reception.lug. There is a message that says Error 1305 (error reading from file); Verify that the file exists or if you can access it. I don't know what to do!!!!!! Please help me!

Hi all. I am new here, just in case lol.
Anyways, I am having trouble with installing the original The Movies game. This has worked every time I've installed it until now. When I click install, the usual stuff comes up, you know, checking operating system, checking windows installer blah blah blah, but then I get this error:
Error1607:Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime.
I have the latest DirectX and Windows Installer and all that, so can anybody help me as to how I can fix this thing? I really wanna play it, one of my favourite games.

Trouble using building props

Please forgive me for asking clueless questions, but...how do you access building props in the movie-creation utility? And once you have them, how do you get the actors "into" an interior-of-building prop for a shot? I've got no way of converting my favorite building to a set, so it's best that I learn to handle this situation properly; thanks for helping out!

How do I get props now from the Propshop?

I am a bit curious if it is possible to get access to the Propshop, even though TMO has been cancelled. As I understand it, you could only get access to new props if you uploaded movies, but if this is no longer an option, how can I get new props?

I just recently got the game and I would love to get more fun stuff for movies.

So if you're, say, a voice actor, you could make a movie about voice acting, being a voice actor, the trials and tribulations of voice acting, whatever - comedy, drama, melodrama, horror, documentary....I could see anything from a documentary on how to read a character from the script, to a horror movie about dealing with an insane, controlling director.

i cannot get this game to play on my pc

I have installed this game on my pc, but when i click on "play The Movies", it shows the lionhead logo, then the activision logo, then the picture saying "this game works best with so and so pentium", then it shows the red ATI screen..........................then the game just turns itself off.

This is definitely not a fault with the actual disc, cause i lent it to a neighbour and asked him if he could get it to work on his pc, and he can.

Its just a dam pity that it wont actually tell you the reason why its not opening the game on my pc. I have bought a better graphics/video card lately, and it still wont open :-(
