General questions for Newbie

I started playing the B&W2 game about three days ago and now I'm done with the last island in the main game (haven't tried Battle of the Gods yet). I'm assuming the game isn't totally linear in the sense that there is a replay value (although I buy games not to be replayed but to have different experiences altogether) - Can anyone give me some tips as to what I should do next (to get my money's worth so to speak)? - I'm sure I'm missing something here because three days to finish a story is really very short !

I have a question. Im 100% evil in botg and i want to rebuild the 3 city's in the game i destroyed and make it look cool. I want to become good tho, and no matter what i build taverns or hospitals it doesnt seem to make anyone happy lol. I also have another problem, about 100 or so people are standing in front of the food mill's and the food section of the store house and i cnt get emm to move even the farmers are just standing there. When i multi hand pick them up and move emm to a diff spot in my city they just stand there also and dont move. What do i do to solve this ? My total pop in that city in about 500 and i have enough houses for 600 so what gives ? I have a food shortage problem right now with this many people could this be why there just standing there ?

Undead god=Nemesis?

Now, if you're reading this with the orange bar, this is different. Clicky. Clicky now! This isn't one of the normal "Is the undead god Nemesis" threads. This is a thread in which I'm determined to find out, not only discuss it, though that is going to be part of it as well. So, as for why the undead god could and would be Nemesis: 1-Well, he does actually sound a bit like him with a hoarse voice. 2-At the start, when he raises the undead armies he says "Now, my old friends,...". Why would he call Aztec skeletons his old friends unless he ruled the Aztecs once? 3-He's an undead god. Nemesis died. If Nemesis came back he'd be, by definition, undead. 4-Not exactly commenly mentioned, but in the cutscene at the start he says "I sense another", and goes on about he must destroy the other god - you. Now, who else was determined to be the only god? 5-If you can come back, why not Nemesis? So, discuss your theories here and, though I know this is in vain... Please, LH peoplez, tell us. I said please !

Was/Is there any patches avaialble for B&W2 BOTG?

As the sbject asks, Was/Is there any patches avaialble for B&W2 BOTG?

I've searched the usual spots on the net but come back blank with regards to a patch for BOTG. Which suprises me since performancei s really really bad and framerates are at a terribly slow, where as B&W2 has great performance on my computer, so I was hoping to find a patch that address's this situation.

Hi,
A few days ago i started playing B&W2 incl. addon, again.
Everything was fine untill i was reminded why i stopped playing the game.
I cannot use any wonder, whatsoever.

It is really annoying playing this game without having access to that feature.

My problem:
When i activate any wonder and aim it at a certain location, i got 'pushed' to the edge of the map,
the sreen goes black and all i hear are strange noises.
To stop this i just have to hit the esc button and my virtual hand is positioned at the end of the map,
the wonder is emptied and nothing happend.
I managed to see the cinematics of the siren-wonder 3 or 4 times, but most of the time i get nothing.

I changed the graphic settings, installed it again, tried the patches and updated my drivers, the result stays the same and i doubt it is a hardware-issue.

any advise?

Hey, any help with this would be apreciated. Im on land 4 of regular B&W2, and first of all my town is 100% unhappy but my allignment is almost 100% . They need more food but this is a new problem for me and I don't believe its the only reason that my people could be at 100% unhappiness. I only have one town.

My main issue is that when ever i try to make an army it says I have no men to use to make the platoons. but according to my statistics i have about 41 males living here. I think that maybe I cant make men into soldiers if they are disciples, so I ask, how do I get rid of someone's Disciple-ness?

I just installed a new graphics card and also installed BOTG following the installation. When I try to run the game, an error comes up saying the game is only compatible with Pixel Shader 1.1.

Surely a graphics card this new can support old tech like Pixel Shader. But how?

the last level of BOTG you return to your homeland. and i just realised that the homeland bears absolutly no resemblance to the land you were "born" in in the first Black and White. i was quite looking forward to going back and seeing it in ramped up graphics and whatnot

I bought black and white 2 when the game first came out, and it was fun, i beat it in like 2 days. I want to play black and white 2 again, and i noticed an expansion came out for it i didnt know about. After reading about it, it looked interesting, but i couldnt find an answer to one of my biggest problems with black and white 2.

I always tried to be an god in black and white 2. but no matter what i did, i still would take over enemy towns through influence while i built my army to prepare to invade and destroy the enemy...I would never get a chance to use my army because id take over the enemy settlements before i could get a sizeable army...Is this a problem still in BoTG? is there a way to work around it? I want an option to turn off "take over by influence" or something to that manner...I dont want to win that way, but i always do, accidently.

So my question is: " Could you please point me to some useful guides for God, something like most efficient city layout and useful tips for building metropolis with happy people inhabiting it ? "

And does anyone know some web sites for downloading BOTG maps.

but i would take a lot of time

but it will be cool

i have some recomendations about the BNW3 its ok if u dont put them

put one more creature(like a lizard like)

put more emblishments,buildings,soldiers,armories,and villagers

more civilizations like egyptcians

Battle of the Gods CRASH!

Hi there. can someone help me?
I have played the first land for about 2 days and finaly was ready to attack the first enemy. but just as Im about to capture the main building or my enemy, but after that the game crashed, and a Windows Error box came up. it said: "Black and White 2 battle of the gods core was damaged" and after that the game crashes while it starts up/loads my saved game.
Can anyone tell me what to do?

my PC info: AMD Turion 64 x2 mobile TL-60, 3GB ram, ATI Radeon HD 2600 GFX card.

If you get battle of the gods, and you install it, will your normal black And white 2 game be affected in anyway at all.

Because i have an account on Black And White 2, i've completed it about 2 times, but my sister has a seperate profile and she hasn't completed it, so i need to get profe that if i install black and white 2 battle of the gods, my normal black and white 2 game won't get affected or deleted.

Feedback Will be noted and thanked.

well i got the game, and when i press install it just comes up with a box that say's
"please go to controll panel to install and configure system components"
i havent go a clue of what that means please help i want to play it so bad

Is there a way to make the villagers work on something faster? I mean, its hard to look between a thousand villagers for those who are not discipled yet.

My only idea is to make the biggest army I can and then disband it, so all the men will be in one group and then I know where are all the non-disciple men are, but the problem are the women...

So is there like a menu with the jobs with an option to click on them and set how many villagers will work on this job?

BOTG awfull lag

suddenly everytime i play B&W2 BOTG i get an awfull lag...even when i set everything on low in the video options..ive never had this problem..so anyone got any solutions for this...i got the latest directx and my latest graphic drivers

the weirdest thing is...when i just start up the game everything runs fine and smoothly but in like 3 min everything is laggy

my specs are this

radeon sapphire HD3800 512 mb
4gb RAM
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+, 2,25 GHz

but with B&W2 i dont have this problem only with BOTG

Well, I googled this and everything so now I am here seeking assistance. At a certain point in the install process, it decides to stop and tells me it failed to install, and that my system has not been modified. Please re-run the installer (which I have done many-a-time) Then: Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

it freezes at Mov_lighting every time. Now, I do have B&W2 installed, and updated to 1.2 patch, and it works just fine. I did however have mods added on to it. Since my backup is on my external hard-drive which isn't around here, I just re-installed it, then added the patches. Still didn't work. Could it be perhaps because I kept profile information that would have had the mods used? Bahh I just hopin someone can throw me a bone to chase after....

Has anyone else had trouble with the food in the store? All of a sudden my town says it's out of food and it has LOTS of fields. Every time I or my creature gather food from a field and put it in one of the storehouses, it immediately dissapears. It doesn't even show up when it's a ton of food. Is this part of the game or did I find a bug? Any known solutions besides restarting?

game crashes on last island!

plz help me out... while fighting in the last island, the game crashes in the middle, just cause for no apperent reason. and it crashes also if i try to save the game. another minor issue i noticed , is that after i build an altor, i usualy get the glow around the spells in the altor, about 1 meter away from the spell in the middle of no where! plz help me fix the crashes! i looked it up and i saw many get these but i couldnt find a real answer to my problems... this is really frostrationg sence i paid 2 weeks pocket money on that game

Hi,

A few days ago I borrowed Battle of the Gods from a mate of mine, after looking for B&W2 for ages, I finally found it with a shitload of dust on it but that didn't matter

So after installing B&W2 I tested it, and it worked.. So I moved onto the next step, installing Battle of the Gods. Launched the game, made some custom settings, pressed New Game, selected a creature, selected ofcourse and the loading screen appeared..

Shortly after the screen turned black but my H.D.D. LED kept on going, and my pc kept making noise so I just waited.. About a minute later my pc just restarted..

Well I thought, maybe I should try setting BIOS settings to fail-safe defaults and B&W2 BOTG settings to default as well.

Same problem But this time, my pc didn't restart but gave me a blue screen error..

I immediatly pressed the reset switch, so I have no idea what it said (kinda stupid).

Now everytime I try to play, it either restart after a minute or 2 or just hangs at the black screen and does nothing (can't use ALT + TAB or anything).

Now I tried applying the patch to B&W2 with no succes, but Black and white 2 itself is not the problem since I can play that one fine..

Only Battle of the Gods crashes..

Does anyone know of any fix ? I'd love to play BOTG

My setup is :

AMD Athlon 64bit Dualcore 4400+

2Gb DDR2 800Mhz Kingston

512MB ATI Radeon HD3870
