Just got the game. Didn't see any update. The two monks left but the abbott will not talk to me. Whats the deal with the patch?

I just bought the second fable episode (second fifth of the game) off Live today and the Abbot got stuck again

You need to start another Hero. The patch doesn't fix a lot of bugs that have already happened, just prevents them from happening again.

I wish they would fix the "Love Hurts" quest.

did update a while ago and i still have the glitch!!! please help!!! my favorite game and i cant to the main quest!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nevermind. It was under a ghost profile. Wierd. Same name, different icon.

Shouldn't this be a sticky. After running into the glitch, and searching google. Everything I found told me to just keep gaining reputation. If this had not been buried so deep It might of saved me 10 hours of crap.

The cover up is worse than the crime. Sticky!!!!

I've been waiting for two months and I just want to express my appreciation that the Abbot issue was finally resolved. It didn't take me long to get back into the game and I am fondly remembering why I like the world of Albion.

I do hope that in the future, if something is going to 'slip through the cracks', it isn't something as serious as the problems that many people have faced.

Well i'm afraid this simply is not enough. After suffering from the "freezing" issue and then being psyched at sorting out by installing the game onto the hard drive i have to say that i am starting to wonder how many more glitches i will encounter should i decide to continue.

It's things like this that make you stray from the pure path and switch the safety off.

i have encountered this glitch as well, i understand everyone's anger to this situataion but u still have to realise, lionhead had a strict deadline put on by microsoft. if they had had more time they probably would have finished fixing every last bug which would have taken another six months perhaps. All im saying is(and i know im going to get a lot of negative feed back), yes it is lionhead's fault, partially, but it was also microsoft and the community as well. if the community had not pushed for fable 2 to be released sooner and sooner, maybe microsoft would have laxed the deadline and lionhead could have gotten more fixes before fable 2 was released. It's not just lionhead

I really just want my money back at this point. I would have returned the game to the store where I bought it if I knew it was going to take this long. As a self employed software developer myself I find this totally unexcuseable. If I wrote software like this I would not be in business long. I understand bugs and situations occur that aren't foreseen in development but no update on when the patch will be out is baffling to me. People/clients deserve some respect and don't deserve do be left in the dark. Like I said I just want my money back, and don't expect me to be buying anymore games from Lionhead Studios based on the experience with this game.
