Your spouse will only have sex with you, protected or unprotected, every 24 hours maximum. Also they may refuse sometimes if the don't want sex. Be sure to check your Family Screen, they'll usually go crazy if you ask them and their status under family is: Wants Sex. You could also be cutting into their working time, sometimes people get busy and they'll kind of ignore you from time to time, to continued their task. When characters dissapear, it is likely not because they died, it is most likely that they are cheating on you, once you confront them, they will divorce you, to prevent that make sure the upkeep is fairly above their standards. To see their standards go to the Family screen, it will tell you their Disired Upkeep, Gift, Mood, Status, Location, Children, ect. If their disired upkeep is say..25G then give them around 50G to keep them very happy. At their disired upkeep they will still slowly lose interest in you after so many days and may leave you.

Here's my reccommendation:

Be sure the last time you had sex with your spouse was at least 24 hours ago.

Use the Come Back to My Place expression at night, around 8:00p.m.-12:00a.m.

Check the Family Status to see if your Spouse wants sex or not, also their mood.

If they are in a bad mood, they will likely refuse, be sure to give gifts, and they like the house.

Your character is . Some spouses will not love you if you are , and will likely divorce you.

Your apperance is acceptable, sometimes spouses don't appreciate you if you are or funny looking.

If you used the Sex Change Potion, spouses are a little more scared of having sex and when you do, a Funny symbol or Ugly symbol appears instead of Love symbol.

Hi, everyone. In my very first Fable 2 game, I married Bob the Shopkeeper. We had sex once and that gave us a son. After that, however, Bob refused to sleep with me again, even though he was still 100% in love with me. I even bought condoms in case he wanted protected sex. I got frustrated because I wanted more kids, so I started another character. I married another shopkeeper, thinking the thing with Bob was just a fluke or me doing something wrong, but I had the exact same problem. Eventually, my husband just disappeared along with our one daughter. It said I was still married to him, and I was never informed of his "death" or anything like that. People even still talked about him like he was there! I've heard of other people having issues like this when they marry a shopkeeper. Is this true? Should you only marry villagers?
