Pretty clear that he's on PC, Mac don't have .exe files.

3) Is your version of TM the same language version as your S&E?
4) Did you obtain S&E via direct download from an online supplier?

Hello,thank you for all your helps!I get The Movies stunts and effects,its AWESOME,but ( I dont know why now the starmaker dont work.I tried to install The Movies and The Movies S&E but the same problem.I double click on the StarMaker icon,appear the StarMaker box then it close and appear another box which say:
StarMaker.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.We are sorry for the inconvenience.And I have to choose Send Error Report and Dont Send.
Im very sure you all know what im talking about,than please help me!

To upload your StarMaker characters, make sure you have at least one person in line at the building where you hire actors/actresses (I forget what it's called). Drag the wannabe actor over the building, and in the middle you should see an icon that says "Import/Upload Star". Dropping the person on that will pop up your list of StarMaker-created people. From there just select and choose their career path.

Also, for more crew/star experince, that comes with the more movies you make with them. You'll almost always get complaints early on, but slowly but surely you'll see them improving. You can also improve individual stars' experince in certain genres (horror, comedy, etc) by dropping them onto an icon on any set you have where it bumps up their exp a little bit. There may also be a mod for max experience (not sure), and looking on 8eyedbaby.com would be your best bet. Just search what you're looking for.

1)I made some starts in StarMaker,but how I can put them in the game?And...when I make the movie,if the crew arent experienced is any problem?How I can make the actors,actress,extra,crews to have the full experience?Is any mod here?

My advice?

Read the manual that comes with the game (not that it's huge) thoroughly, see what that explains, implement what it says and play around with shooting your own scenes, etc.

Then, and ONLY then, should you be looking to install mods, etc. to increase what you've got available.

We've all seen people try to run a marathon before they can walk to the corner shop, so to speak (which usually results in them trying to achieve something that can only be achieved with patience and practise), uploading movies that aren't particularly because they haven't taken any time to learn how to do it right, so do yourself a favour and avoid the inevitable storm of disinterest by learning how to do it right from the beginning; you'll be better recieved for it.

If you go to this thread: The Movies Help Thread, it details some of what RavensFan listed. Also, ~New Members Please Read- Updated~ answers more questions.

If you can find one, the strategy guide by Prima Games details all the sets (non-modded), lot buildings, making making tips and other stuff to help with your experience. DCMF (Directors Cut Modding Foundry) forums offers alot of useful advice, tips and tricks.

In Tycoon (Story) Mode, around 1928 you should get a building called the Custom Scriptwriting Office. That is what you can use to make your own movies. As you move through the Tycoon Mode, unlocking more costumes, sets, and technology, you can use those things you've unlocked to make a movie in Sandbox Mode (Free from deadlines and objectives).

To keep an actor/actress in the same wardrobe the whole movie so it won't change every scene, drag the person from the left side of the screen once you open the Custom Scriptwriting Office to the coat hanger on the far right. You can toggle having extras in a scene by clicking the mannequin button on the far right. If you want an actor to take the place of an extra (they show up as yellow mannequins) simply drag and drop the actor/actress from the left side onto the wooden mannequin of your choice, then drag that person onto the coat hanger to set the wardrobe.

You can not make your scripts in-game per se, but you can set up scenes and sets and weather, etc, in AMM (Advanced Movie Maker, another name we use for the Custom Scriptwriting Office). You are free, however, to make actual scripts using Microsoft Word, then download Audacity (a free voice recording program - Google it) and add voice overs (VO's) through Audacity. Many of us use it becuase of the free price and that you can edit out background noise and clicks from your VO's as well as using it to trim parts of the dialogue. Once you've recorded a line, click File, then Export as Wav. Send the voice over to C:/Program Files/Lionhead Studios Ltd/The Movies/Movie Sounds.

Also, when finished with a movie in AMM, and once it is "filmed" by the crew (check the option to have scenes film instantly so you don't have to wait), it will end up in the Movie Player section, where you can add voices or subtitles, music, sound effects, and all that. To add your voices you've recorded, click anywhere on the last bar closest to the bottom, which will bring up your folder of all your recorded lines. Find the line, position it where you want in the movie, then right click the line to assign an actor/actress to lip-synch the line. Once totally finished, there should be 3 buttons near the middle right of the screen, saying load, save, and export. Hit export, let the game play back the movie and check for audio that might skip or just make sure it's to your liking before putting it out into the world. Once satisfied and the movie runs through, you'll be given options of exporting (Low, Online, high, Highest). Pick Highest. Then go find something to do to pass the time while the export bar runs through the movie. It takes a while. Once that is done, your movie has officially become a .wmv file, ready to upload to a site. You'll find the file in the My Documents/The Movies/Movies folder.

Next, log onto Tmunderground.com, register, and upload your movie! Once done with that, you can join the adjoining forums over at tmoaradio.com/vb/index.php where a LOT of people are at. Sadly the forums here are pretty much dead, so hop on over to those two sites and let everyone know your here!

Ok,ok,thank you.But my main question is:How I can make my own movie,with my script,my own actions etc.E.g. How I can make movies like the movies in the "Your Movies" subject.I tried to make a movie in game at the Movie Player but there you can just put the sounds,text and other things but you cant change the actions and sets.This is what I want.So my question is :How to make movies like the movies in the Your Movies subject.

Hello everybody,I was happy to find this forum.I have some questions.

1)Is any program to make sets,not to edit,just to make....
2)Is any program or any in game way to make scripts,you can choose the actors,clothes,sets and actions?
