Oh well, took the liberty of changing the old username. The board is incredibly laggy ! Taken me almost 30 minutes and several connection time outs just to register and post this ! Oh well, good to be here finally ! BTW does anyone know of a way to make a [img] in my signature a link ? UBB code doesn't work wrapping [img] with a link tag. Anybody know a way ?

it was lagging hardcore a few minutes ago, now its pretty damn fast. hope it stays like this

Yeah, the boards lag quite a deal for me as well. Heopfully it will be sorted out before long.

Thanks for the tip bat. I find refreshing also works sometimes- when the board doesn't seem to be loading a certain post or something, I'll press refresh and it will load in seconds.

It's probably because of all the traffic. Everyone is setting up their accounts from the old boards and new people are probably joining now that it's more obvious on BBB's front page.

Ah well, board seems to be fine at the moment although I just couldn't get into it 30 minutes ago, got about 10 connection timeouts ! The thing about the top bar of the board also happens to me, Bat. And that post wasn't spammy ! It was "cultured"

I wonder what connection speed BBB has ? Maybe they just need to do a bit of optimizing.

The lag has been pretty nasty, I must say. I couldn't get in at all for the last 24 hours (or more). As MJ said, let's hope it's smoothed out soon.

Well, it's okay now. But 10 minutes ago I couldn't even get past the first screen. Oh well.

It's still pretty slow for my 56k. It loads a bit then stops for 30 seconds and then loads the rest of the page. At least I've only had one connection time out today ! That's certainly an improvement.

maybe LH/BBB are busy updating and that causes lags. they prolly have to do that since everyone keeps talking about the thousands of newbies that will flock to these boards once E3 begins.
