    Custom Backdrop Tutorial

Okay there has been alot of trouble on the fourms with creating custom backdrops. So this is my tutorial for people who need help in this spot. Okay the first is first. Creating your backdrop takes some talent, you need the right program, and the right Idea. Personally I use Ulead Photo Express 4.0 It has the right tools. Please make sure your backdrop is 1024 x 256 (size in pixels) So after you created your backdrop save it as a 24 Colored Bitmap, or a 16 Colored Bitmap, but I find 24 works best. And also the name of the file should be bd_(your Movie Title here)1. Then you go into DDS converter, You really need it, so if you do not have it please download it. And when you get in it, select the file and click Output folder. Okay when you clicked on Output Folder you will see a menu that looks like this... Okay now go though the files in this order: Desktop, My Computer, Local Disk (CHappy [:)], Program Files, Lionhead Studios Ltd, The Movies, Data, Textures, Backdrops. And then make sure your converting it into DDS file. Then click convert. It should only take a couple of seconds. Then close it, or it will cloase by it self. Then go into "The Movies" and go to your file and create a new script, and choose the Blue Screen, or The Stage. And you'll get your final Step. Enjoy your new Backdrop Classic [:classic:] I hope this Tutorial helped you. Tremblett.

    Re: Custom Backdrop Tutorial

Okay then create them. Go to Desktop, My Computer, Local Disk (CHappy [:)], Program Files, Lionhead Studios Ltd, The Movies, Data. Now when you reach Data then you right-click, and create a folder called Textures. then go in side that folder and create a folder called Backdrops. Now you have the folders Happy [:)]

    Re: Custom Backdrop Tutorial

I always get the dimensions mixed up.... are not backdrops 4 to 1...the higher the resolution the clearer it will be in post production? But overlays start out at 912x512 but get resized to 512x512?....Is that right?
