Rules to these Forums - Read Before Posting
Please read these rules before attempting anything in the Mod Showcase
The Mod Showcase board was created to Showcase the mods you create, and is now an open forum for discussion about the art of modding. You’re allowed to post pictures of your mods in the Mod Showcase forum, Mod talk (tech-talk) is allowed in this forum, any questions about mods, specific mods, or installing mods should be posted in a thread with a clear designation of your problem, the mod you attempted to download, and/or the tutorial you attempted to follow.
Please use the Search feature before posting your question. More than likely, it has already been asked/answered. If your question is not answered, or you want a better answer, take your question to the fansite you got the specific mod from, or ask at
Directors Cut Modding Foundry.
You download mods featured in this section at your own risk, Lionhead Studios and Activision are not responsible for problems caused by downloaded content. Lionhead is not a sponsor of, nor do they endorse, nor are they responsible for the content or availability of any content on such non-affiliated sites. Your use of any of these links and/or access of such sites is at your own risk.
Allowed
The following things are allowed in this new forum. These things are allowed to be posted, and should clear up most of your questions.
- You are allowed to post pictures of the mods you've created and give links to where to download them provided they do not break the terms of use.
- You are allowed to talk about how to create mods, post tutorials instructing in the creation of mods, ask questions regarding mod creation and/or installation.
- You may post a thread with conceptual pictures of your mod and/or resource
- You may post links to where a user can download your mod, the user understand mods and fansites are visited at their own risk
This list is subject to change so check back. Also remember that all the other forum rules still apply to this board. That means no flaming, spamming, abuse etc... If you have any suggestions or complaints about these rules PM myself or another mod/admin. Happy posting and enjoy the board.
NOT Allowed
These are things that you must not do. Doing any of these may result in your thread being locked or deleted..
- Do not post threads requesting mods - Do not post threads asking or requesting mods. If you would like a modder to create a mod for you, visit the many fansites and look for their request sections. This is against the rules unless posted in a designated thread that a modder creates to answer requests.
- No Threads Searching for Mods - If you are looking for a specific mod, if it has been created or where you can find it, please take that search to the fansites. Make sure to thoroughly check the fansites over before asking for a mod.
- Do not 'Showcase' Mods Breaking the Terms of Use - This forum is for displaying mods that follow the rules, mods that display nudity, copyrighted, or otherwise objectable content will be removed.
- Do not post only links in your thread - This forum is not a place to "spam" links to your mods. Please explain your creation and/or provide an illustration.
- Do not post your mod link in threads created to promote other mods - Posting a link to your own mod in a thread made to publicise a different mod is not allowed. Unless, the mod thread specifically states this is allowed.
- Do not bump your thread to the top without reason - Everybody wants to get their thread (and mod) seen and the forums do move quickly but please don't bump your thread to the top of the forum for no reason as it pushes other peoples threads off the board unfairly. You can bump your thread if you are adding new information (more than a single line) or if you are adding another mod to the collection. Bumps solely for the purpose of moving the thread to the top of the page are not allowed. Note: some members have been bumping threads and deleting their previous bumps to cover this fact up and keep the thread at the top of the board - moderators can see deleted posts and will close/delete threads using this method. Users using this tactic will be dealt with.
- Do not post links to movies - Even if that movie features a mod, links to movies are not allowed. Threads like "This movie is out with this mod" or "see this mod in this movie" will not be allowed in this forum.
The Guidelines
Social guidelines on the Lionhead Boards. These are not cast iron rules and can be "bent" or "broken" if appropriate. These things are more social guidelines than anything else.
- If someone breaks the rules or tries to de-rail your thread use the send a message to a moderator or admin and report them correctly
- Try not to post duplicate threads. It's ok to post a thread advertising a new mod, but if at all possible threads that can house all of your mods that can be updated are best, then we don't have alot of threads and more people can get their mods displayed.
- Edit your posts when possible. Everyone wants to get their stuff seen so bumping threads up the boards can be unfair. You can edit your posts for up to an hour after making them. Please try to edit rather than bump or double post where it makes sense and is possible.
Keep in mind these rules change, please check back frequently.
