Hi all, I use my PC as a jukebox to play mp3's on ( like most of you probably) but I thought I might tell you about this cool thing I found on mp3.com, its about a little device which you plug into a playstation and it can play mp3 CDR's. Now this might not sound that interesting but I was going to build my own mp3 player for my hi-fi system ( to free up hd space and listen to music when windows says bye-bye to sanity..crash city); and this would have cost me at least £120 bare minimum, but now you can get a playstation for £65 from dixons and this device then it could be a cool cheapish way to mp3s to your hi-fi. Totally uninteresting to most of you I know but I thought it was cool anyway, heres the link: www.mp3enhancer.com Paul

I also use Mp3s a lot, both warez downloaded from the net[naughty arent I?] and my own ripped CDs. I used Realplayer's RealJukebox, which is also pretty handy at ripping Cds, although a problem has arisen recently. When I now try to play my Mp3s on any player, be it Jukebox, Realplayer or Winamp, the tracks seem courrupted and stutter a lot, and although they're are hardly unlistenable, they sound more like manky cassetes than CD quality. Then I discovered that RealJukebox has shut itself down because there is a newer version available. If, as I suspect, RealJukebox has courrupted my mp3s just so I will upgrade, then that is highly in illegal and grossly unfair. Has anybody else had similar problems?

I personally use winamp for playing mp3's it's freeware now and the plugins are pretty cool, I use AudioCatalyst for ripping cd's, I had to buy a new hd for christ sake I've got so many 3.4ish gigs worth (stupid I know but hella cool). I tried realjukebox or whatever and found it to be the panteist piece of software ever, but thats just my opinion. Oh BTW, does anyone know of a program to convert .au files to mp3s as I've got funny man Chris Morris's Blue Jam radio programs on .au and its annoying to change progs just to run them. I did download a winamp plugin that said it could play them but I couldn't get it to work Paul

WPlay is also a freeware mp3-player, but much better than WinAmp. And doesn't eat as much memory as WinAmp does. I also have some WPlay skins (one of B&W) at my homepage ------------------ CJ, from Mysterious Game Development NOT to be mistaken with Mystic Game Development.
