Legend of the Sandgoose

Well, after playing through the game, upgrading my character to a perfectly holy patron (100% good), obtaining every legendary weapon including the Sword of Aeons and the Treasure: Frying Pan buried in Orchard Farm between the three bales of hay and the front side of the barn (FYI, it has zero damage unless you collect all of the treasure clues which can not be completed if you have not gotten them and have already beaten the game; if you do have it however then it should do 100 damage and have 4 augmentation slots), upgraded every aspect (Strength, Skill, and Will) of my character to the maximum, and beaten all main and side quests, I figured I had beaten the game, but I was wrong. After reading a post about Fable secrets on XboxUsers.com out of the fact that I was bored, I found something that caught my eye; The Sandgoose. You see, I have a 360 and bought Fable once more because there was really no NewGen. games I wanted at the time, and it's just a fun game. So I beat it with ease and took a break from it for a while until I found all the COG tags in G.O.W. And without quests after beating Jack (For newbs, turns out to keep playing the game after you beat it is to just play the credits out until you get to the end of them, so be patient, because it takes 10 to 15 minutes.), it just wasn't fun. So I decided to join the search of the legendary Sandgoose. The Sandgoose is supposively a large black boat with red sails and a picture of some dragon or birdlike creature on it that takes you to a land of otherworldly creatures from the Old Kingdom somewhere in the Northern Wastes. This place is called Dragon cliffs. Many have claimed that the Sandgoose or Dragon Cliff do not exist due to the fact that it was taken out of the game just before publishing. However, there are many rumors of overlooked glitches that have given us strange events and easter eggs related to the Sandgoose. I have noticed these easter eggs and I have reason to believe that I may have found the Sandgoose itself. Down at Prison Path when the supply ships come into dock at places such as Hookcoast and Oakvale, there is the ship I have described sitting at the edge of the dock. If it is the Sandgoose, I need to find a way to board it. However, it may just be the boat that takes the prisoners of Albion to Bargate Prison due to the fact that it is visible from the dock, but it couldn't hurt to go check it out because it's there for a couple of days. I know this topic is old, and you may have heard this before. However, I hope it has been helpful, and if you have any info, please respond, for I don't plan on giving up on this quest of mine like many others have. Peace

    Rawr~ Kinky! ;)

If you had played the Fable:TLC, then you would know the SandGoose is actually a animal. Highlight this for more info: Originally posted by http://allboards.lionhead.com/member.php?userid=1193 BayStone.
The Sandgoose is a black and white (more black than white) creature that struts around the Sahara Desert. This strange sand-dwelling goose (hence the name) listens to tourists roaming the vast desert to learn the lingo in which they speak. The Sandgoose (or perhaps Sandgooses; note spelling) are multilingual, and thus can retain many languages at one time. The Sandgoose has been known to communicate at the level of an average three-year-old child, according to rather dubious travellers. The Sandgoose, while outgoing, has not been caught on film. It's a sly bird, which can easily sense motion, so it has quick reflexes. This odd creature has no intention to be exposed to the public, and with the ability to speak it can easily overwhelm travellers with its shocking talent. There is no evidence of the Sandgoose. But despite the fact that the Sandgoose has no evidence, it has gathered many fans. The Origins of the Sandgoose The Sandgoose is actually an inside joke created by Atchoo. While Project Ego was in its early days and the world was young, Atchoo was a boy without a care in the world. In these times, a youth would just blurt out whatever came to his head and that’s what he did. He mentioned to Bat that he had adopted or seen a Sandgoose, causing Bat hours of searching through libraries and the net apparently, without any positive results. At this, Bat enquired to Atchoo if he could actually give him any information on this mysterious beast, to which Atchoo just laughed and could not believe a simple joke could be taken so far... little did he know the full extent. Atchoo grew enamoured with his creation and began doing things like referring to it over the internet, and posting posters around his school with the phrase, 'Have you seen this bird?' But now you may ask, how it is that BBB and Lionhead took knowledge of this made up bird. Well, when Atchoo went for testing the first time at BBB, he mentioned this joke to Dene Carter and it didn’t take long for him to want to implement this beast in Project Ego. Well, with the becoming of Fable and the speed of word of mouth, Peter and many other people knew about this bird, but very few actually know why and or how it originated… Now you know.
So no. You won't find it anywhere in the game. Ask MarcoPoloM for more, he has modded the game, looked at all game files There is no file called, or even related to SandGoose. Except a few audio files that speak of SandGoose, (Example: "Oh honeymunch, your my little SandGoose" A husband sweet talking his wife.) MarcoPoloM's profile = http://allboards.lionhead.com/member.php?find=lastposter&t=207903 Also.
I don't plan on giving up on this quest of mine like many others have.
I just wrecked that...Didn't I. You must feel pretty embarrassed now. what with you bragging about your awesomeness, then getting you "Quest" for the SandGoose pretty much owned. ... I feel proud of you. EDIT1: Made somesplling erorrs. Fixed them. I like orinicnesss. EDIT2: The frying pan can have up to 6/7 Augmentations. But you have to add the last like 4/5 on at the same time.

    Re: Rawr~ Kinky! ;)

All Right, Listen Up "Oh Great One"! You may be right about the frying pan but I really don't give a crap about that because I have the Sword of Aeons. So please shut your mouth about tiny stuff like that because I'm just trying to help people who read my post that haven't found it yet find it and why it may have no damage. And I am not bragging, I'm just telling advice that states that to find the Sandgoose, upgrading your character won't help. If anything, your bragging:"So says the Great... blah blah blah." Anyway, I said there were easter eggs, didn't I? That is probebly one of them, and I have a good feeling I have already found it. The Sandgoose itself is a boat, but images and the word Sandgoose are stated in many different ways in the game. And it is stated on many official sites that it is in fact a boat, animal, and put in word form. I also said that there were small GLITCHES leading to the Sandgoose, these can't be traced in files. Listen, post me back on where you found the animal at so I can investigate it, and if what you said is true and I haven't already found it, I'll post it the other Sandgoose seekers and it may well be an important step in order to prove the legend of the Sandgoose right or wrong. You may have been a great help to me by sending me your stupid little message, so thanks. But if you weren't and you were lying, don't ever post me again unless you have real info on the topic. I'm not gonna take crap from people who think they know more than they really do like you. So think before you type. By the way, I'm speaking of the Sandgoose in the original Fable, IDIOT! Whose owned now!?

The SandGoose isn't anywere in the game, you can look all day and night, you won't find it. Unless you hear the audio file.

    Re: Legend of the Sandgoose

Calm down, you are wrong the sandgoose does not exist, we know this not only from studying the files. Well not me personally but several modders, but Sam, one of the developers who is a host to these forums had in fact denied the existence of it. So unless there is a conspiracy between Modders and Developers I see no reason why it should exist. Paranoid [:Paranoid:] Also people who seek the sandgoose are like those who seek the holy grail. Pointless, futile and wasting their time when they could be having far more fun with the game if they completed it several times over... Which most did in the end. Silly [:p] Johnny wasn't berating you he was stating a fact. He didn't type a stupid little message at all he was simply trying to help you. I think you should think a little more before you type. I find it irritating at most when you strut your stuff onto the forums and then start insulting one who was trying to help you. Welcome by the way! Happy [:)]

Look you guys, I'm sorry. I just felt kind of violated when he sent me that message because I was frustrarted from research on the topic. I 'm just tired of hearing one set of people state that it in fact does exist and constantly trying to find the boat while others are trying to prove them wrong by checking files. It kind of sounds like a virtual 9/11 conspirsacy. I know you guys must have looked over every file, and you have every right to have disbelief in the Sandgoose, but I won't give up on looking for it until I am either sure I have found it or have heard from a majority of professional sources that it does not exist. I mean no harm towards any of you. I have just been criticized many times before on trying to find the Sandgoose and Dragon Cliff that I have become a little upset. However, I guess users on this site are friendlier than many others I have been to. So once again, I apologize. Oh, and thanks for the welcomes.

As I have stated in the quote above, I'm sorry. I hope you guys can forgive me and we can start over. But about the reference to the Sandgoose, I have heard from one of my sources about the houses being up for sale after visiting the boat at prison path. A team of investigators from Xboxusers.com, including myself, have been looking at this for while but have come up with nothing. It could have just been a hoax. We are currently investigating an occurence in the Oakvale graveyard that has something to do with the Sword of Aeons and a goose statue doing a trick. I myself find it a ridiculous easter egg and don't believe that it has any connections to the Sandgoose despite the word "goose." We are also investigating if the husband cheating on his wife calls "lady friend" a Sandgoose and the fact that he is buried in the Oakvale graveyard with his wife near the goose statue have anything to do with each other. So please go check these easter eggs yourself and tell me if it has changed your point of view. And keep in mind that I am speaking of Fable 1. Oh, I almost forgot, the boat. When the supply ships come into dock at Oakvale and Hookcoast, go down to Prison Path and see the ship that mirrors the appearance of what I have descibed (Black boat, Red sails, Picture of dragon or bird on sail). Keep in mind that it may just be the boat that takes prisoners to Bargate Prison which is visible from the dock. We are also investigating this. So please post any info that I have not listed that you may have. Thanks!

This also counts in one of The Movies (TMO) forums but not sure what one. The green squares below your name is determined by how much rep you have. Oh try not to double post, unless you are replying to someone...it gets on some peep's nerves and they may whack you with a stickSilly [:p] (I don't mind by the way). Hey, we could improve our studies and research by creating an investigation team here. It wouldn't take too lang to organize it, and we could find much more this way. So if anyone wants to join up and start researching files and resources and checking through the game to prove these secrets right or wrong.

You know the boat u described? I think i saw it, not only in "Save the Archeoligist" Quest, but i also saw it inside the Necropolis Demon door, the one where the "bereaver" is located. It crashed and it there was smoke coming out, the sail was Red, but i didnt look carefully at the sign, so i dont know what it is. Also there was also another boat, it was bigger and a bit farther out, seems like a pirate ship to me.

I haven't put any mods on my 360, but if you tell me where I may be able to download it I may be able to investigate. Oh, Kalavande, did you read my post on the investigation team? Oh, I think I may have found some more info on the Sandgoose. I have heard from one of my sources that the Sandgoose is summoned into Hookcoast through the lighthouse beacon. We're just working on how to light the lighthouse beacon to draw it in. We may just be heading into a dead end, but it has increased our knowledge our where the sandgoose might be. And we also are working on "The blue nymph crouches at a quarter past three." I heard from a post that you have to have the frying pan with 3 mana augmentations and 1 health augmentation in order to unlock this so called "master-spade" which can dig through wood and stone. You then have to use the master-spade to dig under the bell in Hookcoast to find a trophy of some sort called the Sandgoose. You then have to take that trophy to greatwood at a quarter past three in the game as "the blue nymph crouches" and a portal will open up to dragon cliffs. It sounds completely ludicrus to me, but if you have any info on it, please post.
