Hey. I don't know if any of you remember me but I used to be pretty active in these forums until I took a break from Black & White 2. The thing is, since I took a break, I'm not all that good at Black & White 2 anymore so I'm using this trainer to get better. I have the latest version of the trainer and I have the latest Black & White 2 patch, but the trainer doesn't work. Here's what happens: When I click the trainer, an error message pops up saying "Your system reports that Black & White 2 is installed in {Not In Registry}. In order to use this trainer, you must update Black and White, Version 1.2 (this trainer will not work with 1.0 or 1.1). Would you like to download the updates? When I click yes, it redirects me to a forum and a new message pops up (this message pops up if I click no, too -- it just doesn't redirect me to the forum). It reads: "Your system reports that Black & White 2 is installed in {Not In Registry}. This trainer cannot find white.exe in that location. This simply means the trainer can't launch Black and White 2, but the trainer will still function perfectly. So then the trainer loads up and I can't launch Black & White 2 by using it, like the error message said. I don't know what's up. I used this trainer before and it worked perfectly. I don't know if a simple reinstallation of the game would fix it or not, but I'd appreciate any help I can get. You need to have both patches installed. V1.1 is a prerequisite for the V1.2 patch. You can find both of them here

Ah I see. Alright, well I'm going to have to reinstall the game, which kind of sucks, but its okay. Thanks for your help.

Sorry for the double post. I tried reinstalling Black & White 2 and I installed both of the patches, but the trainer still doesn't work. Any other ideas? :S

Hmm... the only thing I can think of is that BnW2 is being installed to a directory other than the default one and that the trainer is looking for it there instead of where it is installed. Or perhaps the trainer needs to be installed in a directory in a certain relation to BnW2. No idea if either of those will help, but figured it wouldn't hurt to see. G'luck with getting it working.

Black & White 2 is installed at C:\Program Files\Lionhead Studios\Black & White 2\. I presume that that's the default director? The trainer is installed at C:\Program Files\trainers\Black & White 2\. I don't know if thats whats causing the problem or not, though.

Hmm... Not sure if this is the one you're using, but I read the readme for this one and it said to put the .exe file in the "C:\Program Files\Lionhead Studios\Black & White 2" directory, so hopefully moving the file in and running it from there should work. Of course it also says that is no longer requirement, but I can't think of any other reason why it wouldn't be recognizing it. =\

Bloody hell... The only other thing I can think of is that BnW2 was installed in another directory and then not uninstalled from there, the registry still pointing to the old folder of installation. (perhaps on another drive or something, I don't know) That doesn't sound like the issue though, as you uninstalled and reinstalled it again. I'm out of ideas right now, but I'll keep wracking my brain in the hopes that I'll think of something that will be of some help. Such a strange problem...

I've tried the two latest versions. Neither work. This is so strange because before I took a long Black & White 2 break it worked fine, but afterwards it didn't.
