How exactly big is the new Bowerstone to the old Bowerstone?

Sorry if this as been posted before, but i was just wandering how big the new city will be compared to the other Bowerstone. I heard PM say it's one of the biggest cities Lionhead have ever made if not the biggest. I was wandering if anyone knows how big the districts are, there are three (i think) As PM ever mensioned how big it is in size like for example it could be 5 times bigger.Hmm [^o)]

The world is around 10 times larger but how this translates for Bowerstone nobody knows.  Naturally nobody will be able to give you an answer since things like that are just speculation at this point.  I would venture to say it's probably going to be much larger, and there are a few districts, some of which are the slums and residential districts (as has been confirmed by Peter).

Re: How exactly big is the new Bowerstone to the old Bowerstone?

I dont know if PM ever talked about exactly how much bigger the new Bowerstone is compared to the old Bowerstone but I can say that it is probably more than 5 times bigger than the the old one. Bowerstone now is the capital city of Albion and since Albion is now 10 times bigger I can only believe the Bowerstone is 5 times bigger at least.

Re: How exactly big is the new Bowerstone to the old Bowerstone?

I dont think there is a "Capital" of albion since it is not a unififed country yet. I still think it is ruled by city states. PM did mention politics will be an important part of the game and storyline. Until then I will continue to believe that Bowerstone has grown to encompase the entire island it is on. if your wondering what im talking about look at this thread:

    http://wiki.fable-2.com/wiki/images/b/b0/FableTLC_map.jpg

You can see its on a island type land mass. (Sort of like Manhatten)

    Anyhow nice thread.

I imagine Bowerstone will be a lot bigger. 500 years bigger, heh.

In one interview, he descrives what we've seen of Bowerstone so far as just a small corner of the whole thing.  He also keeps repeating that it's huge.  Huge, ke keeps calling it.  The description of Bowerstone, huge, continues to be repeated.  It's even a bit redundant when he repeats it several times in one sentence.

This is a tad off topic, but kinda relates...do you guys think Oakvale and Knothole Glade will still be there?

If you want to maybe get an idea as to how big bowerstone is, then take a look at the GDC '07 and E3 videos.  Especially GDC '07 because in the fable world fly-through he gives a G o o d [Good] bowerstone shot that will give you a better idea. Hope that helps Smily [:)].

Re: How exactly big is the new Bowerstone to the old Bowerstone?

Bowerstone is actually split into 4 regions, each of these bigger than the entirety of the city in Fable 1 (South, North, Lady grey's Castle and Quay).

And then there are the many places you can explore under the city (no not the Guild before you get all speculative).

you mean the sewer system? yeah PM said they had one know. Also you forgot Bowerstone jail that was a district in the old fable city that probably is all built up by now.

So to answer the original question in a very short way: About 4 times bigger then the original city Stick out tongue [:P]

Not necessarily.  We have no idea how large each region is.

So it is still called Lady Grey's Castle? But she died 500 years ago... So why would it be named after her? I got the impression from Fable 1 that she was not particularily liked...

I think the four parts are slum, middleclass, upper class and sewers. With the castle being the upper class, and the middle class may be subdivided into two part business and residences.

Something tells me you won't be allowed in the upper class very early in the game. If PM said that Bowerstone is 'big' i mean it's gotta be big considering Fable 2 is 10 times bigger than the original.

Yes... when he said this I became quite speculative. I believe that this is a clue. PM said some familiar faces would show up. Maybe Lady Gray secretly had kids or even found a way to live forever and has taken over Bowerstone. She always was a sneaky B**ch.Smily [:)]

I'm sure somebody as rich as Lady Grey has other rich and powerful relatives in the Grey family line. They probably just weren't talked about or mentioned in Fable/TLC.
