    a Chinese hero...

In the world, Chinese make up for about 1/5 of the world's population.  Will we get to play as a Chinese person?  What about an Irish person?  Ukrainian, African (white or black), USA...ian, French, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Mong, Hawian, Philipian, Mexican, Dominican, South American, Wanabi, Dutch, Indonesian, or Iraqi?  Why are we not also talking about these races?  Or is someone racist just for excluding black people?

Edit: For all of you people who are going to hate me now, this was more out of protest that the "black hero" thread has been going on so long and is taking up space on the first page of the boards.  I hope that this thread will get everyone to realize that these type of threads are stupid.  This thread will pass away from the front page or I will ask a moderator to delete it in a few days.

I know this thread is a highly illogical and hypocritical one (God I love Spock) but I just wanted to get the message out.  But hey!  I tried to say this on the 'black hero thread'!

    Is that mayo...?

    Re: a Chinese hero...

    what about swedes?!?! xD

But seriously, they cant have characters from all ethnical backgrounds on the entire planet. But sure, I'd love to play as (for an example) an asian guy.

that's why it would be a lot easier to have your character's face customaizable. not like oblivion because i actually found it kind of hard to make a face that didn't look retarted in oblivion but more like a quick and easy customaizable face

they could make that, but then it would be hard to have all the morphs going on when you already have your face customaized Beard [:beard:]

Sazaka, as much as I like you, I really want to kill you for making this bloody thread. Stick out tongue [:P] I sense another "a black hero in fable 2" thing going on here.

Really, chinese, whatever doesn't matter. If you can design your own character's appearance fully (somewhat like Oblivion) then you will easily be able to design a sort of chinese-ish character. If there're different skin colours etc to choose from, then that's sorted. Now, can we stop all these different "black hero in fable 2" "chinese hero in fable 2" threads?

Haha I just came from reading that thread Stick out tongue [:P] They should make it like the Oblivion character custimization, but make it Fable-Styled if that makes sense. So you can make yourself any race you'd like.

    Re: a Chinese hero...

Can't really make it too deep otherwise we won't see Fable 2 until 2009, and if people really care THAT much about their appearance and would be willing to wait until 2009... Well, you can f' off Stick out tongue [:P]

I suppose facial morphing, skin tone, etc is acceptable. But if they make it too deep now, of all times, it'll be years before we see Fable 2. So really, whether you can be chinese, black, white, whatever. Accept it if you can't be. I'm getting the idea people are comparing Fable 2 to Oblivion and The Sims too much, lol.

If this is implemented does it also mean G o o d [Good]bye to the union jack under-pants? Confused [*-)] lol

But seriously I don't see why they wouldn't give you the choice of a few race sets at the beginning unless it effects the morphing adversely or as I'm suspecting will not work with the storyline NPCs like his sister, and I know people are saying she can be changed too but they have already put alot of effort into it.

It might even effect the whole storyline who knows

Then you should have said Americans (like in people from America) it would have been use correctly for once.

It was for somewhat comic effect.  The previous races all ended with "ian", so I wanted to continue it.  Sorry, it was a bit stupid.

    Re: a Chinese hero...

That does bring up the interesting point of the character customization system, though. If we are able to make our own character look somewhat unique through a pre-game customization system, what will it most resemble? Oblivion's ridiculous system or ME's system of presets?

    Re: a Chinese hero...

I don't think Fable 2 need a character customisation system and don't forget that your character will morph so customisation would make the morphing part a bit difficult.

I sure hope it wouldn't be like in Oblivion, you can't even make a character with a beard in Oblivion, the only thing you could do was a man with a dirty face and a blue neck, that was one of the worst customisation system I've seen.

    Re: a Chinese hero...

I'm all for this idea, but wouln' it be better to just have a couple of presets, then a few customizations. A preset for each coutrian is teeny be rediculous. I mean us brits, USA, Canada, france, germany, and probably more, pretty much have the same "base preset". Some may be paler, some a little darker. Am I right?...Yes. Yes I am. Ugh..I sound like I'm tooting my own horn.

I looked at this thread like, oh no here they go, more create your character option talk!
And I was right! Well, we can speculate all we want but we won't know till May when Diary 6 may or may not come out. I would like to see this feature but I do want the game to not have any problems with interaction or other thing so to me it's passable.

Seconded. I'd rather not have issues. Besides, with different races, comes a teeny bi extra pot saying how you got to Albion. hat'd take up a little extra space would it not? Wish I knew about this techno stuff ¬_¬. It kinda makes things overly complicaed. Although, my favourite customization thingy was in Saints Row. That was pretty simple...kinda.
