    Badge Nominations

The badge system in this forum is in place to be a fun way of giving community members recognition for their actions and in this thread you can decide which members you'd like to recognize.  Nominate members here for a badge and after a period of time the administrative and moderating team will go through all nominations and assign one badge to one member for each badge category.  If there are no nominations for a particular badge since the last badges were handed out then no member will be assigned that badge.  When nominating other members please keep in mind the following rules:

    • Do not nominate yourself.
    • When nominating a member(s) be sure to include the following three elements: the member's username, which badge you'd like to nominate them for, and why you think they deserve that badge.
    • Nominate according to the criteria of the badge.  If the member has only been here for a year then don't nominate them for an oldbie badge.  If your nomination does not match the criteria of the badge it will not be considered.
    • This thread serves as a place to nominate, not to vote.  While you can nominate the same person as somebody else please keep in mind that this thread is viewed as a collection of nominations only, not votes.  So just because one member has 10 nominations for a badge and another member has 2 doesn't necessarily mean that the former member will get the badge.
    • Final say is left to the administrative and moderating team.  Nominations do not gurauntee a badge will be handed out to the nominated member.

Here are the badges to choose from as well as a description of their requirements:

    - The G o o d [Good] Member badge is given to members who assist other members of the community more than the average forum-goer on a highly consistent basis.  A member with this badge could be expected to help new members find their way, offer helpful links for others when questions arise, and show consistent behaviour in following the community rules.

    - The Disciple badge is given to members who have shown a keen interest in every corner of the Lionhead community.  Instead of posting in just one or two forums this member can be found posting in just about every forum and subforum in the community.  A prolific member indeed, keep in mind that a Disciple must also do more than just post in a variety of forums; a Disciple is still expected to make sure the posts are on-topic and non-spammish as well as helpful where applicable.

    - The Fansite Webmaster badge is given to members who own and run a fansite for a Lionhead Studios game or Lionhead Studios in general.  The fansite must be run with some measure of quality and regularly updated to qualify for this badge.

    - The Lurker badge is given to members who very seldom post but are online perhaps more than the average member.  There's no exact science to it but anything more than 5 posts a month would be a rare occasion indeed for a lurker.  It must also be said that not posting often is not reason enough for a lurker badge; when you do post it must be a G o o d [Good] and contributory post.  The notion of "quality over quantity" is taken to the extreme with a lurker.

    - The Member of the Month badge is given to members who have proven themselves as contributing forum-goers.  Perhaps somebody has done something above and beyond what is expected of members or helped in some manner or another that could be considered more helpful than average; this person then would likely qualify for the Member of the Month badge.  At the end of the month this badge will be replaced with a Past Member of the Month badge.

    - The Modder badge is given to members who have shown a keen interest and talent in modding Lionhead games; the best of the best of modders.

    - The Naughty Member badge is handed out to members who have continuously broken the rules and caused a bit of headache for the community.  A mark of shame this is definitely nothing to be sought.

    - The Oldbie badge is given to members who have been members of the Lionhead community for years.  While the definition of who meets this criteria is not set in stone it is generally handed out to members who have been in the Lionhead community much longer than the average forum-goer.

    - The Techie badge is given to members who almost live in the User Technical Help forums.  Such members are constantly helping other members when it comes to errors, bugs, installation problems, etc.

    Re: Badge Nominations

My first nomination goes to stumpi.
    His forum name is Senileskunk.
    I nominate him for lurker.
He doesn't post much, but yet he goes to the forums daily.
My reasons seem to be few, but frankly I can't really come up with more reasons than that to be qualifiable as a lurker.
I can add, he's a lovely person and personal lover. Wink [;)]

My second nomination goes to Seemingly.
    His forum name is Seeminglypointless.
    I nominate him for Oldbie.
He has been here for a long time, I know there are members that have been here longer, but Seeeminglypointless is one of my old friends and I believe he deserves the status of "oldbie"

My third and last nomination goes to Maggot.
    His forum name is Maggot.
    I nominate him for disciple.
He is active in almost every forum. Ot, TMO, Fable 2, games industry, probably some of those other small forums I don't know off aswell.
Some might say he spams, I will definately agree, but his spam is classy and funny and witty.
And I've seen him help numeral newbies in a very helpfull non-spammy way.
He definately deserves it Up []

    G o o d [Good] idea, this Smily [:)]

I'm just wondering...would suggesting badges fit in here too? Just out of curiosity...

anyway, I nominate MarvellousGuppiMovies for the modder badge, and Dr_House for the fansite webmaster badge and/or modder badge. Wink [;)]

    Re: Badge Nominations

Well, I nominate Portarock and Baystone for the G o o d [Good] member badge. I haven't been here for that long but in the time I've been here they've always provided helpful Fable 2 info/links in more than one occasion. Also, they rarely made pointless post that wasn't related to topic.

    Re: Badge Nominations

Baystone for Oldbie- he has been here ever since I joined in 06 i think, and he had a high post count at that time too...

violinboy for naughty member- we all remember that guy... I forgot his full forum name though, but he definetley deserves the naughty member, seriously what is his fascination with rape?

Edit: Oh to hell with it, whilst I'm here I might as well nominate someone. Stick out tongue [:P]

I think MJ (forum name: MJlover) would deserve and Olbie badge, he's been here since Black and White 2 as far as I'm aware. That would be 2004.

his full forum name was Violinboy86. but i'm fairly sure the bag said he was actualy banned, but i don't know if it was permanent. in any case, i second this nomination, on the grounds he added way too many disgusting rape spams and posts, put others down consistently, and he's had multiple bans. and he may have tried to multi-account. any one heard of GuissepeAcrimboldo? he got naughty member, and his site title read violinboy. he also had simular langauge and speech styles to Violinboy, and hit the same targets. I dare you to argue against this nomination!Stick out tongue [:P]

    Re: Badge Nominations

    I would nominate:

Marvellousguppimovies, Fraasmovies, MikeDboing and Shoni88 for Modder badges; due to their incredible modding skills which has pushed open the limits of the game.

Sisch for a "Whip Mistress" badge. Surprise [:O], because she has whips, like Proff has doughtnuts.

Goofparade and K4ownzall as a "Master Voice Over Actor" badge; For being a great and versitile voice actors always willing to help anyone's project.

    Thank you,

    Re: Badge Nominations

There is no Master Voice Over Actor badge, and because it's TMO specific I doubt there ever will be.
So...there really is no point suggesting that.

Oh and I second the G o o d [Good] member badge for Baystone. Definitely.

    Re: Badge Nominations

Baystone definetely deserves an Oldbie and/or G o o d [Good] Member badge. A very helpful chap, and a fountain of Project Ego/Fable information!

Incidentally, can I un-recommend myself from my badge? I really don't understand why I have it, I don't do anything different to anybody else, and there are people (such as Baystone) more deserving of it.

    Re: Badge Nominations

I nominate every single person who has bought the movies game and uploaded a film for the enjoyment of others to get a badge. You could even have a different colour if they spent the extra money on the expansion pack.
And (wow, I'm on a roll here) you could hyperlink the badge so that clicking on it takes you to their studio page, where you could watch the films they spent so much time and creativity making. Then you could increase community spirit by leaving a review.

I had a thought a minute ago - what about the Naughty Member Badge for anyone who's ever been banned, and hasn't proven themselves worthy of having it removed yet? Just a thought...

And a nomination? Well, maybe eobaggs for the webmaster in a month or so, he's just got a site up and running.... uh... a Lurker badge for JudyAnn88? She says she looks at the forums a lot, no idea if she logs in, but I think I've seen her post once since I've been here, and I know she's still about, so... yeah.Stick out tongue [:P]
