They look very nice for a first effort. If i could just give you a couple of advice.
First; avoid total black or total whites unless they have absolutely no choice into being used. Every material absorbs, reflects and refracts light. In the case of the uniform you could add a shade or two of lighter colors as some form of ambient light, doesnt have to be very bright. In the case of fabrics, keep it subtle.
For the weapons think more in line of how metals and plastics reflect and distort light. Since they are hard surfaces, the highlights would be crisp and sharp, but not so shinny as to be totaly white (a common mistake), they also reflect the environment, not much, but enaugh to get a variety of subtle colors mixed with the base.
Second; Nothing looks brand new, even when it is.
Consider the abuse and effect of neglect on the weapon itself. If it fires laser, it might get realy hot in a battle, some discoloration would not be out of place in certain areas. Wear on some of the sharper angles of the muzzle and stock of the rifle could show a

deal of usage, giving it a real life history.
Those are just a few pointers that should be applied to every textures just to keep them from sticking out in the game.
BTW, if you want to get a feel for how some models are treated , look at the game textures. Not one is pristine. There are always scratches, scuffs, rust and chipped paint here and there.
Keep up the
