*-*The Wait*-* From Planning to Production

Hello all. I figured I'd break my vacation boredom and let you guys in on an idea of mine. As of now, it really isn't much as I've still got a lot to go over and then finalize, so as of now it's a very simple idea and nothing more.

    • PLOT

Paul Morgan is a normal man, leading a normal life, with normal friends, a normal job, and a normal wife. But, one seemingly normal day hanging out with one of his friends, Paul dissappears in a flash of light. He suddenly reappears in a room. A white room. A white room with nothing but a desk, a chair, and a man. And he has been waiting...

Yep, that's all I got. So far I've tried to come up with a white floor tile for the blue screen as I already have the white walls solved but have come up empty. If anyone would like to remedy my sitution, please PM me.

I can only assume more will come to me over time, but for now I'm taking a few weeks off of TMO to do other things. I have mulled over making this a comedy or a serious supense sort of movie, I suppose similar to SG's Dance of Death if I could make a comparison, but as I've said before everything is very vague as of now, but of course I will post in here once anything groundbreaking (or not) pops up in that noggin of mine.

That's all for now...RavensFan_09 AWAY!!!! Rambo [:rambo:]

Re: *-*The Wait*-* From Planning to Production

Well, thanks to thebiz I have figured out my floor tile problem so now the movie can definitely happen. Also, I've decided on making this a comedy, but with a dash (or possibly a pinch, or even a smidgen) of seriousness in it. I have a feeling I am going to need some VA's for this one as I want this movie to be a little more...not low budget as my usual comedy outings. A lot of Blue Screen sets will be involved for sure. I'll start the first few scenes of AMM and then scripting that part whenever I feel like it (but it should be within a week as GTA IV is starting to get a little annoying Stick out tongue [:P] (Who knew cocaine trucks were so hard to blow up!? Dead [:notalive:])).

More to come once I actually start...doing stuff. I may provide a pic or two a bit later.

Re: *-*The Wait*-* From Planning to Production

Heh, no worries of GTA IV bogging me down now, as I've completed it, unless I get too caught up in launching Niko out of a helicoter over downtown...Classic [:classic:]

Anyways, ummm...some pics! I've decided to go with widescreen for now. Lemme know if you think it's a G o o d [Good] fit. If none o' y'all say anything I'm sticking to it, 'cause I kinda like it myself. I got one with and two without.

The Whiteness...very disorienting, as Paul finds out.

Paul talking to his co-worker/friend, James Tanner.

    Paul's wife Erin making a call...to somebody...Hmm [^o)]

Also, production update: I've gotten around (I think) 20-25 scenes done and have around the first 5 minutes of the movie shot. Hopefully this movie will be rather long; by my standards anyway. I'm looking for at least double digits.

Re: *-*The Wait*-* From Planning to Production

Thanks TPK, Tsunami, and TheBiz! Smily [:)] Nothing much to report as of late, just doing some late-night brainstorm sessions and adding a few scenes here and there. Most of the story has already been fleshed out and I think I have a pretty G o o d [Good] ending, but I still have to get something happening at around 3/4 of the movie. I will tell you though, I have a very interesting problem with a set of mine, but I think it will work out in my favor...ORLY [orly] Once the film is out you'll see what I mean. I'm really trying to improve on my freecam, too. As far as a release date, this is pretty rough, but I think I can see this being out around mid-late July, depending on whether or not I can fit a custom score in here or not. I don't think I'll be releasing another movie until then, unless I make a trailer for this, which I'm still flip-flopping on.

Nice project you're working on. I enjoyed your previous projects such as 'Scum', so this'll be interesting to know what you'll come up with Smily [:)].

Glad you're interested Ellis and Howie!

Finally got around to writing the script, and things are going by rather quickly, esepcially considering I'm at home with nothing to do for 8 hours.Stick out tongue [:P] I've almost got to the point in the script where I am in AMM. I've got around 5 pages already done. This movie will be pretty dialogue heavy.

Re: *-*The Wait*-* From Planning to Production

Whew! Finally got the script done; all 15 & 1/2 pages of it! Man, I had no clue I could write that much! Stick out tongue [:P] If anyone would like to offer their script proof-reading assistance for a G o o d [Good] comedy, it would be much appreciated, as I would always love a second opinion on my newest ambitious film, and see if it's not just me who's laughing at the script. Stick out tongue [:P]Hmm [^o)]

Well, once I get some overlays (Any takers?) and finish up all the scenes in AMM to catch up with the script (Which should take until next week), I will hold the casting call. I already have a few people in mind, and when the time comes, I of course will post a casting call thread.

    Stay sharp! Ninja [:ninja:]

Well, I've officially finished AMM! Big Smile [:D] Expect a casting call within a few days. After all actors/actresses are finalized, I will need to proposition someone for some overlays.

Re: *-*The Wait*-* From Planning to Production

Well, just a minor update. Things as of now if you haven't seen as of late are rather slow as I go through auditions and while a select few still pop theirs in. Pooka, I will indeed need your assistance in the overlay department once I get a cast finalized. As of the past few days my focus has been on Kit06's comp entry, though.

In the next update or so I may provide a sparkly new pic. Surprise [:O]

I just remembered that Patella has uploaded 43 White Sets on 8 Eyed Baby. You can download those to make finding scenes easier. Here's the link. They are full on blasted white, don't be fooled by the thumbnail. Stick out tongue [:P]

    Actually I find that hilarious...Paranoid [:aranoid:]WTF [:wtf:]

    Short update:

Nothing much to report. Cast is coming together more or less. I may be doing one more role I hadn't planned on doing as one member I've contacted seems to not have responded in a few days, but we'll see. All in all I think I'm pleased with the cast that is slowly getting assembled. Final cast update will include some pics, although in a movie like this, I'll admit there aren't a whole lot of "amazing" shots, as the movie is mostly conversations and therefore mostly static, but believe me freecam has been used in the making of this movie. Stick out tongue [:P]
