It's that time of year again (A thread about Script Writing)

Alright, this may be getting to a cliche of writing a thread every now and then offering scripts, but I figured, I'm practically on summer now, and as I wait for things to happen with projects, I might as well write, but what?

    Well, your ideas.

Ok, first off, I got some rules, they may sound harsh but I've written lots for people that just didn't occur ever, so if you want a script off of me please make sure you're willing to go through with it, not just go "Ooh, I have an idea, please write this up and I may get to it" and then forget about it in a few hours time, I can't tell you how annoying it is to waste time like that.

Secondly, please don't ask for a three minute short unless it's really something you feel passionately about, I don't want to write man gets big, takes out city, helicopters attack, new man appears, they fight, then Movies credits, that's just dull, lets stick with being creative, and on the other hand, please don't ask for some sort of elongated series, like a 140 page script for a series, I don't have that kind of time on my hands, lets keep it 6-40 pages, please.

Thirdly (Our tertiary moment) If you can, give me a run down of everything, characters, mood, tone, pace, style, genre, specifically if it can merge genres, and what you are capable of doing in the edit, if I write something complicated I'd hate for you to suffer when trying to film it, that's not nice. I enjoy making things up, but I don't want to add characters to help the story and/or character development, that should really be in your hands first.

I may come off nagging, but I'm sorry, I want to get creative, and what do I want in return for this? Short of a credit in the film, obviously, absolutely nothing, even if you call it a gift, I don't want it, I just want to help.

I'd show some samples, but a lot of it would have to get censored from my personal favourite works, which is another note, please tell me if you're willing to allow vulgar words in the script or not.

So, post things in the thread, pming is such a hassle with all I have there, so lets just lay it out in the open, or on Skype if absolutely necessary.

    Ethan.

I don't need help with script writing, but do you also offer proof-reading services?  ^^ [^^]

Not hard to understand, if you have a film you want written, and truly want it, but can't, not some quick idea, then I will do the best I can to help by writing a script.

Re: It's that time of year again (A thread about Script Writing)

Then it would be basically co-writing, proofreading, revision and/or converting(and/or adding) notes into script form?

Re: It's that time of year again (A thread about Script Writing)

Well, co-writing is a little stretch, most of the time I've tried this people have always taken the project in a direction I couldn't comprehend, I may be a little obsessive about perfection Stick out tongue [:P]
