I'm sorry to bother everyone with this but I'm having trouble with the overlays I made. I used paint to make them because that's all I have at the moment. I sized them up 512 by 512 like I was told. Then I saved them by going to Program Files-Lionhead Studios Ltd.-The Movies.

One I got to The Movies File I was told I had to go to Data and I did. Then I was told to got to Textures. There wasn't a textures Folder so I made one and put the Overlay folder in there. Then I saved my over lay by nameing it overlay_aaa_v00.dds.

But it's not showing up. I'm suposed to see a white space in the overlay section in the game but it's just only the in game ones.

So.....what did I do wrong?

Sounds like you didn't convert your image to .dds, but just put .dds at the end of the file name.  You have to convert your overlay to .dds format using a DDS Converter, you can download one here.  So, convert it to .dds, and then save it in The Movies\Data\Textures\Overlays with the name you had.

No problem. 

And just a tip:

Always start out making your overlays at size 912x512 pixels and then resizing it to 512x512 pixels when you are done with it, because what the overlay looks like at 912x512 pixels is how it will look in game and will help make the overlay look less stretched and blurry.

You can also make 1024X1024 overlays. That's how I always make them so that they don't end up all stretched out.

Not sure what a PDF is, but if you convert it to DDS it should be fine.

No PDF files are adobe acrobat files. They are a book type file and not really a picture file. I doubt you can turn those into DDS files. If  you figure out how to directly convert them I'd love to hear how.

If PDF pictures is all you have then you could try opening it up and then hitting the PRINTSCREEN key and then go to your paint program and do EDIT PASTE. Then crop the photo and get it sized correctly, then save it as a DDS file.

It didn't work. When I chose to convert it, it did it and said it had converted it, blah blah, blah... but when I checked it it was still the file it was before.
