    Male/Female options?

So because you can pick betweeen male and female does this mean that certain features in the game will only be avaible to one certain sex. we already know that a female hero can get pregnaunt which oblivously a male cannot does this mean there will be other things such as

    -clothing for only men/women

    -single sex quests

-jobs that only one sex can apply for

if so this means that a male or female character would lose some of the gameplay that is not avaible to them. so although this is more realistic i hope that theere isn't any exclusive benifits for being either a man or a women.

Maybe dresses for women and tuxedos for men for when your getting married and other things like that but probally not anything else.

Apart from different armor models I don't think there will be too many differences.

The only one that woud start a arguement is most likely the jobs one,

because in most of the games that I played, there was clothing that was female only

and male only. As for the quests, there's nothing wrong about that.

It just wouldnt be fun if you couldnt fight Lucien during the last epic battle of the Fable 2 storyline whithout wearing a dress to help humiliate both him and yourself.

The last game allowed cross dressign, im sure this one will to. As for single sex quests... yes that probably would bring up a few sexist problems.

So if I asked one of my friends that is a girl, but not my guy friend because I trust her
more than him to go tell some one something important, is that sexist?

From the humour in Fable, I'd assume clothing-wise all clothes would be wearable by either sex.

yeh exactly, there will be quests related to which sex your are anyway, we already know there is a quest which is focused around pregnancy, and people can hardly argue a case for the same quest for male characters....well I guess you could... but it would be a little odd to say the least.

    Re: Male/Female options?

I don't think there will be much of a difference besides the armor we can choose to wear. I'm pretty sure the quests will be the same for males and females.. just a few minor differences if any.

Although there is a matter of strength. Maybe the male characters can get stronger than the female characters... or the female characters can be faster.

    I don't know just a theory. =p

No but if you did it because she was a girl and he was a guy then thats being sexist.

That depends on WHY you asked her.  If you asked her because you trust her more for trust reasons, then no.  If you asked her because you trust her more because of her gender, then yes.

I'd like to see some definate changes in NPC reactions between male and female.  While the game can't be sexist, nobody says that the NPCs can't be true to life with some men being sexist, some old ladies thinking you dress like a *** or women thinking young men are immature, ect....

As for the plot, I'd like to see at least some differences, it'd give G o o d [Good] replay value.

Ok, well I say diffirent designs armor wise. A woman can wear makeup however the sick men could probaly do that too. And yes your sick if your a male and wearing makeup and not doing it for Halloween.

A woman can get pregnant thats a major plus one for them of course.

I don't agree with a man being stronger and woman being faster thing. I beleave that a woman is just a strong as man. And men are just as fast as woman.

I beleave us men are just as smart as woman however we bring a whole new meaning to "The human race only uses 10% of its availible brainpower" and what few times we try we just give up.

So yeah I do not beleave there will be many differences between the two.

yeh im guessing they will change the armor/clothing depending upon the sex like they do in WOW... but other than that i think that quests and jobs will be similar even if u are a different sex

you realize of course, that during the rennisance and midieval times, it was quite common for men as well as women to wear makeup, wigs, ect...  And in modern times, sometimes guys like to cover up scars or blemishes on their skin.

sure....that's a decided difference between the two, but it's not exactly like it's a quest to have babies.(if it is I'll laugh crazy like)

I'd also like to see something to that effect, in fact, I've already seen it in another game.
GTA IV allows you to play a female character in some of its online modes; as you wander the city, looking for other players to murder, NPCs will occasionally yell out comments to your character like an over-stereotyped construction worker. One that stands out in my mind, as I recall, has some fellow claiming as long as he has a face "you'll always have a place to sit."

Let's not forget the Egyptians and their discovery that eyeliner can protect your eyes from sun damage. I'm also assuming LastJohn must also have have a fear of clowns, Robert Smith, and Cirque de Soleil (or however it's spelled) to declare that men shouldn't wear makeup.

First. I am not scared of clowns. I just don't like them.

Second. This is not Medieval times. Also even if it was I was not talking about the game. I was talking about the person themself. I do not agree with a man wearing makeup unless it was for acting or somesort.

Third do I look like I care about whether or not the Egyptians invented eyeliner?

And do I care if back in Medieval times men wore makeup? I already knew all of that however I find it weird in todays world for a man to wear makeup. And doing it in a game I find that weird too.

Oh Yeah, I bet you found it weird that in the game there were womans clothes! Ewww! how ODD! and yuckky!
    Reality Check: It's a Game.
Some people do weird stuff that they wouldn't do in Real Life.

But anyway, I think people in this thread are talking about the wrong kinda things, Lionhead are obviously not gonna give Pros and Cons to differnt sexes, as that would be sexism, but I'm wondering how theyre gona effect Quest outcomes. Like.. Lady Grey, would she still be attracted to you if you were a woman? Would opposite heroes and heroines try to hit on you if you were a male/female? Etc.

You are more than welcome to not like anything you choose.  That, however, has no bearing on what makes a person "sick".  I had some pretty bad acne from time to time.  I still get a bad breakout if I'm not careful.  I'm a "sick" person to put a little cover on that?  Please....

And I was using the historical reference because the game Fable 2 is set in a historical-fantasy era, thus, a man wearing makeup in in those times would be no big surprise.
