What about Mac users of Fable?

This game, although very cool, is slow to save, open, and it's buggy. It's corrupted some of my pref files, caused me all sorts of grief trying to gain back my system.

    i'm using MacOS 10.4.11.

I can't even get the game to load and play now, even though installed it twice. I saved my "save" game folder, after playing for 26 hours, and as I'm in the Lychfield graveyard, the game now will not load. It goes through the startup cycle, but then after waiting for an autosave, it bombs and takes me back to the desktop.

It's a $50 game that is not Mac happy. Any Mac users in here? And don't bombard me with insults cuz i'm on a mac, I've moved past the "PC vs Mac" issues. I just want to play this game. Now I have saved files for Fable that I can't get to load.

Anyone know of a patch link for Mac users? I really enjoy this game and would like to play it! HELP!

    Thanks!

bah! 38 views so far, but none that give Mac answers. PC users, developers, please note that Mac has over 10 million faithful and devoted users. Please port over your games properly to play on mac OS. I'd love to hear from anyone with a solution on why Fable played until the Rescue of Scarlet after the Circle of Death, and now won't open. I've reinstalled the game, removed the pref files, fixed file permissions on my system, but still can't open my saved games. I'm 26 hours into the game. Looks like i'll have to call support at lionhead and get the run around. Is it $50 down the drain, or will support rise to the occasion? Stay tuned!!!

Calm down, easy man! You should be aware that they released is a dedicated special Mac-version along with the PC-version of Fable:TLC. So if it is for Mac it should as well be fully compatible.

On the other hand side I know nothing about Mac hardware, except for the one thing that it is IBM-based X86 hardware architecure nowadays, like every other Windows/Linux PC too. With this circumstance there may of course also be the downside of the PC world entering into the Mac-world: the hardware driver support! What I mean is that you may need the latest graphic drivers or maybe even a better piece of graphic hardware for your Mac to play the game (e.g. Shader Model 2.0 hardware). In this case it might indeed be a G o o d [Good] idea to check the game requirements for the Mac. Wink [;)] Although this might not be the reason for your problem because the game run for 26 hours into the game. I would say the profile or save game got corrupted during the saving process. The thing is that those corrupted profile/saves may not be accesible anymore and are lost.

No matter what it was that corrupted the game, this also happened a lot on the PC. In most cases it had to do with a buggy character save or was it the world save. Dunno for anymore. Tongue Tied [:S] There is no solution to this I think, except for deleting the profile or maybe only the savegame and starting a new game.

The phone is ringing and I cannot linger. So, look out, butt, here comes my finger!
