Installing The Movies for Windows VISTA

    Hi,

Can anyone help please? I've had 'The Movies' for a couple of years now, not played it for a while and recently found it again. Had no probs installing it onto my Windows XP system, but have a new Vista laptop, and there are compatability issues.

Can I fix this? I presumed there would be, I've had a lot of problems with Vista and 2000/XP games ... is there a pack I can d/load to fix this at all from Activision?

    Thanks,

    Lauren.

Re: Installing The Movies for Windows VISTA

If you install everything, the game disc will run fine on Vista.

To make sure it runs correctly, right-click on the desktop icon for "The Movies". Now click on "Properties" on the list that pops-up.

At the top there are tabs. Click on the one that says "Compatibility".

Check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for", and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" (it should be the default selection).

Now at the bottom of the window you should see a section titled "Privilege Level". Check the box next to "Run this program as an administrator" (if the option is available - if you are not the registered as an administrator on the computer, then you won't be able to select it).

Now hit "Apply", and then "OK".

And the game (should) work correctly. Let me know if you have any further problems running the program Smily [:)]
