The Free camera in The Movies Stunts and Effects

I love The Movies Stunts And Effects, for me its just the best film making game/tool ever made, but there's one thing i never liked, its the way that the Free Camera starts and stops, its kinda unrealistic it should start and stop in a smoother way. I would also love if we could add some camera "effects" i mean like the Amateur camera style, the camera Shaking while we film, i think it would give a cool style in some shots. What you think about that?  (im sry if my english is bad )

I love The Movies, a very influential game for me.

You can stop it however, what you can do is when in the free camera screen guide the "Camera 1" and "Camera 2" option to when the camera stops and/or starts.
So your camera will actually move however many seconds in the scene and stop as well whenever you want.
What country do you come from?

what is this I don't even

Re: The Free camera in The Movies Stunts and Effects

There is a modd called Augie64 (after its creator) its a set of filter settings that do exactly what you are talking about. Hand held camera, cartoon colors and outlines, dirt and scratches, etc. The one drawback is that it applies these settings only on export and to the whole film. So you have to first export the film (you wont see the final result until you actualy look at the movie in media player). Now, since we have TMU that support the use of outside editing, all you have to do is 1: export your movie twice, with and without the effects and 2: cut your movie in an editor like Weisntein, Wax or even Ms Moviemaker. You will have much more control over the look, lenght and all that you want like sound effects and music (no synch bug either Stick out tongue [:P] )

If you are interested to have this modd, just PM me on dcmodding.com and i'll find a way to get it to you....must look at getting it on the site as a download..mmm

    Hope that helps.

That is a very powerful mod that I've used myself.
It has some great effects, but be careful when you experiment with it.

To use the program choose run the program and choose which film style you want to use. Then go into the game and make your movie. When it is done your film will have the filter applied to it. The downside is all your movies will look that way until you run the program again and turn off the filter.

If you want to make a movie and only use the filter for a part of the scene, then you will have to film that scene leave The Movies game. Run Augie64 and turn off the filter. Film the rest of the movie and then use Windows Movie Maker, or some other outside editor to put the movie parts togther.

It is a neat little program that is not difficult to use, just time consuming. G o o d [Good] luck with it Smily [:)]

Well, at some point, when I finish the Scene Editor tool, this will be possible.  Indifferent [:|]

In all the test films I made, all camera movements have a smoothed effect.   "Ease In" and "Ease Out" it is often called.  You'll notice it in any of moving shots from scenes in the game.

But that's will be ... whenever I get around to finally getting that done.  There is never enough time, is there?  Rolleyes []
