After returning to the shrine for the third time with the old soul, I am treated to the cinema of the gate opening.
However...
As soon as the cinema is over I find myself with a black screen/no visuals. I can hear my character running around and if I hit anything I can feel the vibration so I know that at least the game still thinks I can see.
After trying to see what I could do by pressing many buttons, I realized that if I use my spade I am able to see the animation of my character digging and afterwards I return to full visuals.
But that's not the whole problem.
Now that I can see what the heck I am doing, I run into Archons folly but it doesn't trigger a cinema. I walk to the end of the walkway and about 12 steel bars block my bath and there doesn't seem to be anyway of opening them. I have no active quests, and it would seem as if me entering should have triggered a cinema. I am so close to finishing the game I hope this is not a permanent problem.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to finally fight Jack?
