Retrogames, who would like to see them?

some days ago, i found some old PC games behind my desk. Namely:
    Magic Carpet II
    Dungeon Keeper
    Shadow Warrior

with some work i got them running and boy, i love them. i actually had more fun with them then with today games. First i thought: Ah thats just because i have G o o d [Good] memories for those games, when i played them years ago.

But no, it was something else. The gameplay was easy. no unnecessary so called epic story. Start the game -> have fun. No "new" controls i had to figure out. No scripted events i had the pain to watch, when i just wanted to play the game. No automated check for updates.

If i could, id remake those old games. Not touching the story, controls or anything, just a graphical overhaul and maybe some better sounds, thats it.

Man i wish i could play Magic Carpet in Multiplayer or Coop. Im wondering, am i the only one who doesnt like modern games?

EDIT: i found this on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM-uuHo0fR0&feature=related

    *sighs*

I actually love the incredibly bad graphics in games I've played long, long ago. Makes it seem so much more nostalgic.

I only wrote this because I hate you.

I'm personally pumped about LucasArts bringing back The Secret of Monkey Island.  They're rereleasing it with 1080p graphics, a new remastered soundtrack, and full talkie!  (Almost an identical voice cast from the very popular Curse of Monkey Island).  It's supposed to come out on the 360 and PC.  LucasArts did a similar thing with Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (a personal favourite of mine); they're including it as an unlockable feature in the new Indy game.

LucasArts seems to be aware of the love for the older games.  G o o d [Good] to see them making them more easily available.
