    Can/Can't Host, Time to solve.

I am trying to locate the elusive source of this Can Host Can't Host problem.
Any information people have can/will be helpful.

AKA, OS, Router(Y/N), Ports Forwarded, Firewall?, can you see people in the lobby, can people in the lobby see you, and anything else you think may be of any help at all.

I need information from both the people that can and the people that cant. If you can't you really should provide information should I be able to find a fix. If you can, well help those who can't out and provide the info anyways, besides-aren't you tired of always hosting?

If there is anyone from lionhead that may have a idea on this any information would be useful.

Re: Can/Can't Host, Time to solve.

Well, I REALLY wanted to avoid having to make a bunch of posts, but this forum has some idiot timer on when you can/can't edit posts-WTF?

On topic however, I have figure out the problem with why people can and cannot host-mostly.

If your running Windows XP and cannot host, change your version of hamachi, Aka downgrade to version 1.0.1.1 which can be found here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_hamachi/1840/

If your running Windows Vista or Windows 7 however you need to run at least hamachi 1.0.2.0, so I suggest the newest version of hamachi at: http://www.filehippo.com/download_hamachi/

You will also need 2 programs,
    WinPcap found at: http://www.winpcap.org/install/bin/WinPcap_4_0_2.exe

And a hamachi fix, found at: http://rs98tl.rapidshare.com/files/222589683/3963315/HamachiBroadcastFix.zip

The Hamachi Fix requires winpcap to run, so just install winp\cap and then run the hamachi fix while attempting to host

Now, of course you need all your ports forwarded, but I wont go into that here-for complete help go to:
    http://www.portforward.com/cports.htm

HOWEVER, I still have not worked out another issue, now that people can see my games when they try to connect they get a "Could not connect to the remote machine" error. If anyone has any information on this it would be very helpful to getting all of our vista players truly capable of hosting.
Note:This fix will not stop you from joining a game, people can now see you in the lobby, but if they try to join they will get the error message.

And finally I got it work 100% In addition to what is listed above, I had to bypass my router out of my network.
I can only assuming it was not forwarding the ports properly however, so you may not need to remove your router.

Re: Can/Can't Host, Time to solve.

First, Click start and goto Control Panel.

I have finaly managed to host with my router.

    This is how.

    Then, Click Network and Internet.

After that, click Network & Sharing Center.

Than right after you do that, on the left side click: Manage network connections!

After doing that press while your in the window that you just opened press ALT and click Advanced>Advanced Settings....

Right after that, You'll see two lists.

One at the top and one at the bottom!

Click on Hamachi at the top list and press the up button until its at the top!

Than simply restart your computer and play the game!

As of now, anyone and everyone can use this guide to be able to host B&W, if you need help join hamachi network

    B&W-Now-Playing

    Pass: play

And I'll be there to help you host.

Re: Can/Can't Host, Time to solve.

A couple things have been brought to my attention that I failed to mention earlier.

    1) Hamachi Broadcast Fix needs to be run as a admin
    2) It needs to be left running ANY AND ALL times you want to host.
    3) Upon future investigations using these methods may not require you to forward ports
