to business, in these past few days i have been thinking, and thinking, and thinking.

i fanally came tothe cinclusion that Fable 3 should be a MODERN game, with guns and what not.

we can match beloved features from the other fable games into the modern one.

ex swords---------Guns, armor to body armor, the skillpoints are still relevant, physical training eqauls strength training, aim for bow goes to aim for gun, magic could stay,or could be replaced with technical skill and explosive skill, and skill in driving vehicles. /neutral/ coild be replaced with working for the UN (boo), working for some terrorist faction, or for a neutral option, as a mercenary. the ability to drive vehicle should be included,if its going to be online, which it should, then have squad based tactical deathmatches i which money and exp. for use in the story mode and multiplayer mode, online story co-op with a aquad of upto 10 people. stelth atributes for people wholike to be spies. the main story could be your father was a marine and you mother died in childbirth. whilst on a tour your father was killed by an unknown faction, the main storyline is to find out who killed your father. full customiability of weapons,with multiple attachments allowed, (stupid cod 4 doesn't let you have a scope and silencer, custom light to heavy body armor with customizability going down to each individual peice, the ability to improvise armor when money is scarce, say like welding steel plates to the shoulder etc., the gates could be replaced by computers you enter codes into,the codes could be awnsers to riddles they give you or programming errors you must fix.

i have many more ideas of how to make a modern fable game, i think it would be GOY material (game of the year for noobz) and would put lionhead in the spot light, make a better game than cod 4, don't get me wrong i like cod 4 quite a bit but there is much to be inmproved in that game.

also augumenting weapons could be like changing gun parts for better firing, upping bullet size, getting mods for it basically, even the sky can't limit this game, pull off bomb runs from 3000 ft or something.

No, fable is about heroes and its already stated that fable 3 is going to be a few years (about 10-20) after fable 2, if you want that game play CoD or battlefield

I have to agree with Wildman31 - If you want that type of game stick to CoD. The era is part of what makes Fable what it is. To move the game to a more modern time would ruin the series.

A medieval time period doesn't make Fable what it is, it's the world of Albion. Your ideas make the place sound like Earth and rob Albion of all its charm. Could a modern time period be done in Fable? Sure. It'd be interesting, even, to have a mythical modern setting. But not the way you describe it.

 I actually want Fable 3 to possibly be 500 years Before Fable TLC. Maybe have the Legendary weapons of the first 2 games really come to life in the third. IE Let us work side by side (or against) with the NPC Heroes that wielded such weapons as the Solus greatsword hammerthyst, etc etc

i bet they are gonna crank out a prequel esq game eventually every popular series does it, but hey Lionhead does try to make things different so they may not

That could be . Back when it was Bullfrog instead of lionhead they did that with populous and it was the best one out of the series .

i apprecciate input from you guys, i think with twaeking this idea could become useful, we lack a shooter RPG, except fallout 3, but that game is very limited. imagine crackdown, mercenaries 2, and all the fable shoved into one. don't get me wrong, I love FABLE, all of them, my favorite games in the world. however, i see how limited it will get if they keep producing the same type of game over and over and over. its like COD, where half their games are from WWII. there also missing that RPG element i love. do you not think PM has not already thought of a game like mine? every game they get more and more modern, not to mention whos not to say there can't be heroes today? modern heroes do exist, if anything the common footsolider could be called a hero. any way, PM probably plans to have WWI and WWII games before a modern if he thinks the way i think he does.

I agree, the market is just flooded with these types of games, it has almost become redundant, I remember Golden Eye on Nintendo 64. I loved it- the multi player shoot out ect, the same with Turok. But at that time it was  a new thing. now the market is just flooded with shooters. The draw for me is the unique feel of the world of albion, the free feel. I don't feel pressed to do any one thing. I can actually explore. do my thing and just mess around, which is a hell of a lot of fun.

i agree with most of you, but to counter, who says that earth didn't have swords sheilds armor 1000 years ago? there were definately arena's in roman times. in fact if we were to compare albion and say maybe sometime during the crusades we would find them to be quite similar. fable 2 is nearer to medieval europe than anything else in most aspects. another thing is that there is no shortage of rpg games out there. however, none are like fable. this is my point, i wish to bring shooters into a different, fable like setting, to set the bar even higher for shooter/rpgs. which there is a surprising lack of, minus fallout three i belive there is none. also the list above is nothing. i have plans to draw up the main story line, and some subquests/features. imagine the list above and multiply it by 50, and thats just the features. also, this game would be entirely open, based on the players decisions, like in fable, they would be either a counter terrorist, neutral or free mercenary who does whatever work he wants, to being a radical terrorist. once again, this world would be entirely free, with the ability to travel around it. listen, im pitching this idea because no one else is, and i love fable and want to see evolve. i do want more pre modern fables, but i dont want lionhead to produce 5 fable ones that are actually different games, like cod were every game is set in ww1 or ww2 minus cod 4. i dont want fable to be like that

As a post above said you dont play on earth you play on the world of albion so why does the time line of invention and such have to mimic our one why cant there be an invention that completly differs their period from our one i know that theres will but seeing as only heroes can use it it dosent make that much diffrence

"Albion" isn't a synonym for "medieval times." Fable 1 and the crusades are vastly different. I'm talking about Albion the place, with all its quirks and people and locations. You have none of that and just seem to be slapping a generic action movie plot into a Fable game. You even have the UN in there, come on. I'm not opposed to a modern Fable as long as it keeps the heart the other games have.

First of all how is fallout limited? Its probably one of the most open console games out there.

Also, the whole point of Fable is that its supposed to resemble a fable. Its not supposed to be any more modern than perhaps the era it is in. Making it in our time would be pointless.

how so? your awnser makes little sense, everyone has a story, their own tale to tell. are you saying that only people in history as opposed to recent events have a tale to tell? go talk to anyone war veteren or nit and im sure they will have epic tales to tell.

i quite agree, i love the plot line of fable and fable tlc, however i was reffering entirely to the fact that in medieval europe heavy armor swords and sheilds were uaed like fable, the similarities pretty much end there.

also note that i said i want this game to be a hardcore rpg, not an fps.
