How quick of you to assume it's the game's fault. I shot all 50 with 5 different heroes and no counting flaw nor have there been any reports of anyone else finding mistakes in the gargoyles shot counter.

You missed one. Simple as that. The sooner you accept it the sooner you'll get to work on finding the last one and the closer you'll be to getting the achievement. Far more productive than blaming the game if you ask me.

actually ... i was not quick i was far from quick, ive had this problem since December 08 and i have done all five hero's and when i shoot it it is not counted not that i cant find it so if you so simple minded not to read what i am saying and have nothing but stupid comment don't bother ( and i did not blame the game i was asking if this has happened to anybody else to see if i can do something productive so if you haven't got an answer or something helpful like the comments above, just go on ur buiseness and stop being such a *** head

Calm down - Did you shoot the Gargoyle way up the tower on the building/relic near the entrance to Brightwood?  There are 2 gargoyles on that structure - one lower on the arch and one way up the tower as you are facing the entrance to Brightwood.  This may "fix" what you are encoutering.

    Re: gargoyle not been counted

It is possible that you may have a glitch, and yes Darth there is a gargoyle glitch. Happened on my first save. However, it was in Rookridge were the problem was, and not Brightwood. Try what Grimey said first.

I have a theory on how the glitch occurrs. I shot the gargoyles in reverse order and the first one was shot last and never counted. May have to delve into this more on a new character.

Did you shoot the one in Brightwood tower, and there is one in the cave you go through to get the Diachi.

    Re: gargoyle not been counted

    1) the gargoyles are, apparantly, quest dependant... i.e. certain ones are invincible untill you complete certain quests... idk, this is just what I've been told.

    2) I have one of the above mentioned invincible gargoyles and can't figure out how to get him.

    3) I encountered your problem on my first save. I destroyed a gargoyle and he didn't count. Luckily for me, I turned my box off and back on without saving and it counted it the second time through.

    4) Treth is a little angry at the world and basically talks to everyone like that... idk whyCrazy []

Wee wee head comment aside (naughty boy), consider Darth burned. And actually I would blame the game. See, there's the whole deal with the 50 Silver keys as well. I've only had one play through and wouldn't fancy another because I really like my character. While playing though, I've noticed that Wraithmarsh and Bloodstone have a key mix up. In the map section of the menu it reads 7/6 Silver keys in one region, 5/6 Silver keys in another. While I still have all 50 keys, something is amiss. Not to mention that I've had some fun glitches happen to me. Still missing my first wife from the "Save our Son" quest which occurs post main quest. I don't have a solution for you, just roll with it or start over. I doubt anything can be done but if you need the Achievement I'm sure someone here can take you to their gargoyle cave. If there are no offers, just add me to your friends list. I'll be on in a few hours. G o o d [Good] luck.

The 'extra' key was actually because our beloved Level Design lead copy / pasted a sarcophagus into Twinblades Tomb without realising there was a silver key inside the one he copied.

Well the one I'm missing is in Bloodstone but that town isn't that large. Any ideas? If it's in the Pirate Cave with the giant drop, I'm S.o.L.

The one I had a problem with was the one that has to do with the statue in one of the tombs at the entrance to Bloodstone but I guess that's the bonus to havinf the extra keys

Fable Definition: A short, pithy animal tale, most often told or written with a moral tagged on in the form of a proverb. Thus to convey a moral is the aim of most fables, and the tale is the vehicle by which this is done.
