    Slow Clmb...

    Guess who's back!

Moved into a new house, got settled, and started poing around. I found $200 stashed inside a cupboard. Took it to the police, and after a month was told no-one had claimed it, so it's all mine!

Few days later, a shiny new Arcade Console sits in my lounge room. Time to make the climb to XBL.

    Here I come Albion!

Why did you go and hand your own stuff in to the police...?

    Re: Slow Clmb...

I was rather wondering that as well. As far as I know, if you buy the house and it's contents, if someone's bunged a bundle of cash in the house when you move in that's yours as well...

    Maybe it's different in dollarland.

    Re: Slow Clmb...

You obviously didn't read what he said :

    esoterion:
Moved into a new house, got settled, and started poing around.

    Not :

Bought a new house and moved in.

Clearly he's a squatter, albeit one with morals, which gives him no rights whatsoever for the first few months. Having said that, we don't know what letter is missing from "Poing", and depending on whether you insert a vowel or a consanant you get some pretty unsavoury interpretations.

    So in answer :

    Guess who's back!

I'm guessing "the phantom house-stealer who shits in your cupboards".

    Re: Slow Clmb...

An 'I'! I'm guessing it's an 'I' missing! There's an 'I' missing from the thread title, so he must have problems with "I"s!

Unless he meant "Slow Clamb". Which would be a little unfair to bivalve crustations becasue they have no legs. And also unfair to spelling, because much like the Queen or Frank Bruno it can't fight back.

My guess is he's really "Poiing" about, which as we know is a drawn-out cartoon noise a bit like 'Sproing'.

    Are you the New Schmoo?

    Re: Slow Clmb...

I think it's an "s", from the poing part. I've seen lots of pictures of people posing for pictures in abandoned places. My guess is he's an urban explorer / photomodel cat burglar.

The title might be "Slow Coulomb", meaning he was some sort of electrical engineer.

    Re: Slow Clmb...

Personally I find abandoned buildings, and the pictures people often take in them to be rather creepy.

    Maybe it's just me.

    Re: Slow Clmb...

I kind of dig abandoned buildings. I don't take any pictures in them, don't have any decent hardware for it, but the concept appeals to me. They pose the same interest as your neighbor's back yard did as a kid, dangerous and exciting.

Either that or I'm a huge goth on the inside.

Jesus! That last picture looks like she's begging for babies! The Monster! That's even worse than when I woke up last week to find someone had broken into my house and shat in one of my cupboards.
    Hey, hold on a minute...

    Re: Slow Clmb...

Ah how I missed the quirky humour here.

Yes, it IS an "I" missing from the title, however it's a "K" missing from "poing".

To elaborate, I just started renting a new place and while i was POKING around I found said cash.

However, your cupboards still aren't safe matneee. Big Smile [:D]Ninja [:ninja:]

Wait, that picture's your signature? I just thought you decided to put in your thread.

Why do you need to sign off with a poster?

If you'll read this ancient thread http://community.lionhead.com/forums/thread/3365623.aspx you'll understand the meaning of his sig, one that I still find funny.
