A video editing creating making thing that isnt "the movies"

Well now that the movies is turning into a shadow of its former glory Ive moved onto Youtube. But at the moment im stuck with using Windows Movie maker. I've tried looking for other Video editing software but I cant find anything else.

Does anyone have any knowledge of video editing software thats free. And runs on Windows Vista?

Well, Windows Movie Maker isn't the same thing as The Movies. If you're looking for something similar that lets you use animations to create movies, then try either Moviestorm or iClone. To make anything worthwhile, you'll probably have to end up spending a lot more than you'd like on both, but iClone is a lot more expensive and isn't a free download like Moviestorm.

Also bizzarely, some people seem to be directly ripping Starmaker faces from The Movies here.

Magix Movie Edit Pro is a relatively cheap yet powerful editing tool for movies, which I use. You're not going to find anything worthwhile for free though, so if that's what your budget is you're best sticking to Windows Movie Maker.

The only thing worse than beating a dead horse is betting on one.
