    Music Generators??

Does any one know were I can get any free ware music generators, I need them for my animations, What I want to do is create my own music scores, but I can't read or write music and I don't play any musical instruments, I have a guitar but I started guitar at age nine and gave up guitar at age nine so I'm no G o o d [Good] at it lol.

I just don't want to take the other option either, going out and finding some generic royalty free songs, nor do I want to hire or ask some one to do it for me as this animation isn't going to bring in any profit and it may never be made until I can sort out some major problems so I don't want some one else wasting his time in vain, plus I like doing these things on my own so if I don't like it I can simply change it without insulting any one.

Now I'm not 100% sure if its a music generator I'm after, it's a Ejay type program maybe its a sounds database I don't know but my question is could someone help me find a free program that can do what I need it to do, I've searched but I can't find anything.

    Re: Music Generators??

I dislike the term 'music generator'. It makes it sounds like an industrial assembly line process. But that's probably just me.

Ejay is musical arrangement software, which mostly uses pre-recorded and/or digitally created loops to make music.

Mixcraft might be something close to what you're after. It is only a trial version, but I don't think it has a time limit, when I downloaded it a year ago it only nagged you to upgrade, so it might do for your limited use.
There is no such thing as a free lunch, you basically get what you pay for with music creation software, but Mixcraft should service you for your project.

Del I could kiss you, only I wont because that would be very creepy and that creepiness may turn into law suit followed by a restraining order.

We'll sorry for using the wrong term Del I don't know all the terminology when it comes to music or music software.

I'm also very surprised that I got an answer so early, this place is usually deserted most of what I see in this section is the odd ball of tumble weed.

Hah, that's OK. I just have issues with that terminology. Stick out tongue [:P]
And whilst this forum is pretty empty, there are those of us who pretty much lurk around them all. Hope the program works out for you.

I play guitar too.  I have a DigiTech GNX 3000.  It's great for live performances, plus, it's great for the studio.  You can record to your computer and make your own tracks with it.  It's pretty sweet. Up []
