    B&W

A very long time ago I heard that the B&W team split up, but people keep talking about B&W 3 and such so my question is. Is there any point for me getting my hopes up about a B&W 3 or is it dead? Have lionhead just given up on this amazing game? It is  still one of my favorite games. (Sorry if I made any spelling errors and such.)

    Re: B&W

I too would like an official confirmation.  I've been leaning in the direction towards B&W being discontinued because it was an EA game, was it not?  Since Lionhead isn't with EA anymore they probably don't have rights to make another B&W game.

    Re: B&W

Even if Black & White's future is bleak, I do not remember ever reading that the IP for B&W has been sold to, or remained with EA Games.

My bet would be that BW3 is possible, yet implausible. (How I hope that I am wrong!)

If you are waiting for an official message from Lionhead, be prepared for something like: "We currently have nothing planned for the Black & White series as all our time and effort are currently going into the development of Fable 3 and Milo."
Then they will go on about how wonderful their latest games are going to be, and finally end the statement in regards to B&W with something in the line of: "Never say never."

    Stick out tongue [:P]

    Re: B&W

I think right now I'd rather see this console version of Black And White 1 that's been in limbo for the past couple of years. It was supposed to come out for the Original Xbox and I think even the Playstation 2, but never saw light of day.

It's also pretty safe to say that Black and White 1, and Black And White 2 both with their respective expansions could easily make use of the 360, or the PS3's capabilities.

    Re: B&W

To the poster after me: EA published B&W did they not?  If so, it's a safe bet that they have property rights over the series.  But I do agree with what you think they'd say... lol

To the second poster after me: You will never see a lionhead product go to anything other than something owned by Microsoft unless they switch publishers (again).

I would honestly love to see B&W 3, but would prefer to see BC come first.  Unfortunately I doubt either of these games are coming, and since they are just focusing on Fable right now I'm getting rather bored of waiting.  Don't get me wrong -- Fable was a great game, and the second one was fun, too!  But they gave Fable 2 a quick death, and are focusing their time on an early third chapter of the game.  So it's safe to say I'm giving up on Lionhead within another month...  Sad [:(]
