I have the original Fable. Downloaded  from Xbox live marketplace cuz a mate broke my Lost chapters disc! And i have all the dolls, Thunder, you, maze, briar rose, whisper,scarlet robe. i dont have scythe cus i dont have snowspire but i have all the ones you can get in Normal fable and when i go to the teacher he screams at me cuz im and i cant interact help PLEASE!!!!!

maybe that's jsut a dowload glitch. i have TLC in disc form, and can't seem to satisfy the teachers love for books...it says to give him 8 for his hero doll, jack of blades i think. and i can't seem togive him enough, i've given him at least 4 and 4 bad books. it's BS.



And the hero dolls started in the original Fable.

Perhaps you should try it while you are .

You can get a Wizards Hat from the teacher.

When giving the teacher books be sure to give him only the ones from the alignment you are playing ( all or all bad not a mixture).

Hello! A little late, but I have a related problem and this thread seems to be the most up to date one. (Oh, I hope my English is enough )

My trouble is that indeed I have all 7 dolls (including that of myself ... and the child already have spoken to me), but the teacher won't take them, he not even have the green aura so that I can't interact with him!

Does anybody know what I can do in this case?

This is not true. I've played Fable: TLC about 40 times, (been about 38 times ) and I always give him ANY book I find. I've got the wizard hat and silver key 40 times...
He just wants books, they don't have to be a certain alignment.

As for the real issue in this forum, you may have to change your alignment to neutral or for a short time so he will talk to you. Then just slaughter Oakvale until your full again. Hope this helps!

Alexisrose's point was that it's a lot easier to determine which alignment of Wizard's Hat you'll get if all the books you give are of the same.

He only gives the bright wizard hat, though. I'm not sure where you get the dark wizard hat, since I haven't got it in a while, but I remember the teacher does NOT give it to you.

I have also played this game 40+ times and I can confirm you get the Wizard Hat as well as the Wizard Hat off the teacher. You must give the teacher certain books to receive the the one

(You can only give him these books and none others until he gives you the one other wise he will give the one to you). -  Sorry but I have not played in so long I cannot remember which books they are but it should say somewhere on the internet.

Then how come on one of my files I have both hats?

I've never given the teacher any alignment specific books, I just give him whatever the hell I've found on my travels.

I know I have both because on Fable: TLC and Fable II, I always have a file where I have absolutely EVERYTHING. Every piece of clothing, every weapon, every expression, and generally I have about 7 or 8 million dollars and every house is mine (except on Fable II, I couldn't get those damn hero dolls. Lol)

And I remember I have both hats. If I didn't then I wouldn't have absolutely everything, now would I?

Trust me I am not trying to start an argument with you. All I am saying is that I did receive the wizard hat from the teacher. What exactly did you do to get both? (I gave in the correct books to get the one and then handed in the rest to receive the silver key. Try and remember how you did it - I want to check it out ).

I don't want to start an argument either, but like I said, I don't quite remember. It was like my sixth file, and I've beat the game 34 times since then. I'm wondering if I got it from arrow competition guy, cause he always gives you a bunch of random crap, and I usually just kill him. Thats a possibility, however unlikely.

If I ever do remember I'll be sure to let you know.
