How can I (newbie) have character costumes be automatically applied for every scene?

I'm rebuilding the costume every single time and it is tedious.

In the screen where you chose your actors, there is a clotheshanger on the right of the screen, just drag your actor over there and dress him/her (hairstyle, clothes, make up...) like you want. He/She'll be dressed like that for every scenes.
